Used this place for my debutante and it was perfect!

Nice clean facility, fantastic food. The only thing I didn't like we're the rolls..they tasted frozen, and the apple cobbler was not thoroughly thawed. Some of the best roast beef I've ever tasted.

This place is absolutely amazing! I had so many compliments about the entire experience. From the moment you walk in its breath taking, with wonderful food and the best service ever I recommend this place to everyone for any occasion!!!

It was a total pleasure dealing with Genesis Catering in the planning for our daughter's wedding. Our primary contact was Chad, but no matter who you spoke with whether it be Matt, Megan or any other staff member they were extremely helpful in every step of the process. The food that was prepared for the reception was extremely delicious and the service was outstanding and we received so many compliments from our guests. When we do another event there's no doubt my mind we would pick Genesis Catering.

I cannot say enough great things about this company. Not only did the staff go above and beyond the during the planning process but also during our reception at another venue. They made the transition from dinner to dancing seamlessly. I also highly recommend them due to their amazing food and service.

Attended our nephews wedding. Decorations were beautiful! Staff was friendly.

We chose to move our daughters wedding outside due to Covid. We used Genesis catering and were so happy we did. The food was amazing and the staff was so professional and made everyone feel safe at the reception. Megan helped with the planning and made sure everything went smooth!

Genesis catering has a wonderful event space. I have had the chance to eat their food several times and I hate green beans. But I love their green beans. They have fantastic cooks. I highly recommend them for any occasion.

Father/Daughter Dance. Food was ok but nothing to write home about and the venue works but is almost to small for the dance. Overall it is clean and well maintained and I would recommend it for small (<200) groups.

Genesis Catering was incredible. We had our reception there on 9/9/17. They set up all my decor and helped clean up. Guests and Wedding party loved the food!

I remember going through the process of asking venues and caters for quotes for our wedding. One after another we kept getting figures that made you ask yourself, "how does anyone afford to get married?". Our wedding had upwards of 225 people attending so, we had to find somewhere we could afford and also give our guests a nice area to celebrate with us. We came across the Moolah Shriner Center in Creve Coeur, who uses Genesis for catering. Were we ever grateful we found them. The people at the Shriner Center and Genisus were very easy to work with and answered all questions that we had. We were also given suggestions for preferred Wedding Cake bakery (Wedding Wonderland) and DJ (John Hoffman), which made some of the other items in wedding planning easier. Our food items we picked had a mixture of both the Classic and Deluxe buffet items. The food was excellent. Mashed potatoes and gravy, glazed carrots, Pork Tenderloin, Chicken Cordon Bleu, Mostaccioli (St. Louis tradition) and the beginnings of bread and salad. We also had a open bar and the selection was pretty much anything you can find here in St. Louis. It also came with mixed drinks. Over all, the price and overall experience was everything that simple folks like myself could ever want. Great food, great service, great venue, and a great night for our wedding. Highly recommend Genesis!

What a amazing venue! Very clean and well maintained....The food was great and the staff were very helpful and accommodating! We had our wedding and reception both at genesis and it was beautiful and went very smoothly. It s been 3 months and people are still talking about how beautiful and fun our wedding was.

I was here for a friend's wedding. It was very clean and a fun atmosphere. All the employees were fantastic and nice people.

Went there for a school band banquet. The facility is nice and the food was very good.

It was a wonderful experience working with Genesis!! Megan was amazing at every step of the way!!! The food is excellent! Can't go wrong with anything on the menu! We used John, a DJ that works with Genesis, and we were very impressed! Genesis also provided a raised head table with awesome back lighting that was changed to match our wedding colors. I had many decorations I wanted set in specific spots, and Genesis set it up flawlessly! Hands down, super impressed! So glad we went with Genesis as our reception hall!!

Amazing customer service, very knowldegable. They have two venues in the building. They also have options to either add or remove features to save money. They require an initial $750 dollar deposit, and the remaining balance is paid 2 weeks before the wedding/event when all the minir details are also finalized.

Had my kids school's Father/Daughter Dance here recently... It was the best one in a few years. Pretty nice place with a good staff. Food was fairly decent as well...

I've been there a couple of times with the st. Martin of Tours Senior Center and it's always good food and great service and I will be happy to go back again

I went for a 60th birthday party. This place exceeded my expectations. Decor is very appealing. Food was all good (not great), but I suspect there are probably better choices for a little more money. The service and servers were top quality and sealed the deal.

Our daughter's wedding reception at the Moolah Ballroom catered by Genesis was absolutely fabulous! We could not have wished for a more perfect night! Chad and his staff were fantastic! They are professional and made sure everything was just as we requested right down to the smallest of details! Could not be happier!!!

We had a great experience at Genesis Banquet Center! We had plenty of space using both rooms to host our wedding reception of about 150 people. We were glad we used both rooms to make it not feel crowded. The food was quite decent for the price; many people gave compliments on it. The staff were so great to work with and incredibly generous, flexible and helpful. The price simply cannot be beat compared to other places we looked in the area. While it was not the most luxurious or unique location, our guests had a wonderful time, we ate well and there was very little stress in the planning of it. The staff even did a lot of the set up and decoration since most of our guests were at the wedding ceremony. It was also particularly beautiful to have had the Christmas decorations out as that really added to the atmosphere! Our only small complaint was that they moved the evening along so quickly and efficiently (which was great) that people may not have had time to get seconds of the buffet or realized that there was even a bar to get drinks from. But overall, everyone really loved it!

Everything from the food to the atmosphere to the staff were incredible! We used Genesis for our wedding last month and had no complaints! Their staff was in constant contact with me, checking in to see if I had any questions ,or double checking on seating arrangements, food, what have you. We were thoroughly pleased with Genesis! The pricing is great and we got so many compliments on the food. All of our guests had so much fun. I loved that they set everything up for you so it is one less stress you have to worry about. We had a couple odd requests (i.e. having the Blues game on the TV's) that they found a way to accomplish and make happen for us. I would recommend them to anyone!

I was looking for a venue for my wife's surprise 40th birthday party. I shopped all of the local venues that I could think of, such as Orlando's, Royal Orleans, and Andres. Genesis by far blew me away with not only price, but with people who were very respectful and accommodating I worked mostly with Matt, and Megan. I can say the were AWESOME! They answered all of my questions respectfully, and always made me feel that all my questions were important, no matter how insignificant they were (which there were probably many).
Within 5 minutes of talking with Matt, I was already signing up, and ready to make all the arrangements!!
I booked a ballroom for 100 people, and it was amazing. The room, the lighting effects, and the tables were all beautifully done.
As for the food....it was incredible!!! I cannot tell you how many times I was told during the night, how much people loved the food. Myself, I loved the roast beef!!!!
We had an open bar, and our bartender was Kim C. That girl knew her stuff!!
After I ordered my first drink, I never had to tell her what I wanted the rest of the night. In fact, when the bar was about ready to close, she came out to me to give me another drink before they packed up. Great work!
The price, the service, the room, the food, and the bartending were second to none. It will be a night that my wife and I will always remember.
In the future, I will not shop around, they have earned my business and my recommendation for a lifetime.

Had our Wedding at the Moolah Shrine and Genesis did the catering...from the moment I called them and got a quote until my Wedding Day they impressed us...they were very helpful and friendly they actually acted as though they enjoyed doing their jobs...the food was yummy it was hot and to my surprise seasond...they were very accomodating to all of our needs, very affordable did I mention how good the food was? Handa down we had a Great experience and recommend them to anyone wanting a PERFECT DAY!!!

They catered the lunch for my grandma's funeral. It was nice!

Our wedding reception was absolutely amazing thanks to the wonderful staff at Genesis Catering. Everyone we spoke with was very helpful and made planning our reception incredibly easy. Not only did the room look beautiful and they had everything set exactly how we wanted, but the food was delicious too! Several other catering and banquet centers serve the same bland food, but this was not even close to that. All of our guest were raving about the food and how fantastic everything looked.

We had our wedding reception here three weeks ago and I'm still hearing about how amazing the food was from friends and family! They were accommodating, understanding, and they also took an extra step to make sure we had a great time. We had a sign at the bar that said "Try our favorite drinks" and throughout the evening a waitress or bartender ensured that we had a drink based on our sign, so much so that we sat down after our entrance and within minutes we each had a drink we didn't have to order. It was so fantastic! We had two outside vendors (cake and photo booth - but Genesis also provides a photo booth service, we didn't use it because we won a photo booth at an open house for Genesis with a different vendor) and they were accommodating to them. We had to clean up our own things but we didn't have to set it up (we did only because my mother is a perfectionist and insisted that we set it all up ourselves).
Overall, this is an amazing venue and we will be recommending Genesis to all of our friends and family.

I had my wedding reception here. They totally out did themselves it was so beautiful it was everything I dreamed of The owners are so nice, my bartender was amazing to she was so sweet, and the food was beyond Amazing. I wish I could go back to that night it was perfect. I didn't use one of their house Djs I found someone else who made the night even more special his name is Dave from 314DJ I highly recommend him he is totally amazing!!

Genesis catered our wedding at an offsite location. The serving staff was friendly. However; I did not get ANY of our leftovers to take home. I paid for every single serving and EVERY other place boxes up the left overs and the bride and groom get to take them home. I was very disappointed in this, because catering is very expensive.

My aunt had her wedding reception here. The venue was very beautiful, decent size, and the food was very good. Everyone who attended mentioned how nice the place was and how happy everyone was with the food.

I could write a novel of glowing reviews for Genesis. Both my husband and I are beyond pleased with the job they did for our wedding reception. I stumbled upon Genesis thanks to the Knot and am so grateful I did. It offered everything we needed and wanted! When we began searching for venues, we had our work cut out for us! We had well over 300 guests, I didn t want to share my reception with another wedding or with the public, AND they had to have excellent food! It seriously became mission impossible to find the perfect venue for us until we came across Genesis! It was perfect! We were quite pleased with the price, the staff are beyond AMAZING and the food is honestly some of the best food I ve had in my life, let alone at a wedding reception! The venue had plenty of space for our guests! Megan was truly a God-send! I swear we must have exchanged several hundred emails/phone calls, etc. and she was always eager to help in whatever way she could and answered ALL of my questions! I think she even became my wedding coordinator at times. She is the all-time perfect coordinator to have, especially if you re a Type-A perfectionist like me! She made everything so easy for us! We are so appreciative and grateful for her! Matt was very helpful the day-off, too! My mom started trying to clean and tear down towards the end of the night and he insisted that he and his staff do it so we could enjoy the rest of the night! Seriously, the only venue I know of that would let you do that! I cannot even begin to describe how delicious the food was! Our tasting made it impossible to decide on the menu because everything was so good. We selected a few options that we didn t even taste beforehand and I honestly wouldn t have changed a thing! We still get comments from our guests about how good the food was and our wedding was over 3 months ago! I still crave their cheesy potatoes at times, so we will definitely be returning customers!

My husband and I had our reception at Genesis in July 2016. They took care of everything and answered all our questions. They helped a lot and were flexible with the decorations that we wanted. They were very clear with prices as well. The food was great and we loved the huge dance floor. Everyone that came to our wedding kept telling us how fun it was! I highly recommend them!

Very friendly people to work with who really went out of the way for us! Also VERY affordable. Everything was perfect! The food was delicious, their in-house DJ was great, and everything ran very smoothly. Megan also did phenomenal decorating for us (we dropped everything off the day before). The only thing I would have changed is getting to pick which food we wanted to try beforehand so we could have made sure to pick the best dishes (the tasting is standard). Highly recommend!

Chad and the rest of the Genesis Staff are amazing to work with and the most patient people I have ever met!

All of the times we dealt with Chad, Matt, or Megan gave us the most confidence in working with them for our Big Day! The food was on point, you could tell it was made with a lot of love! I loved the way the staff treated you like Family.

Went there as a guest to a wedding reception. The place was clean and well decorated.

They catered our wedding in April 2017 at the moolah shrine center. They were extremely accommodating and easy to work with. We couldn't have been happier with the food and received many compliments! Highly recommend the beef and gravy, mashed potatoes, and the pasta con broccoli. We actually just ordered again for a Christmas party and we cannot wait to have it again!

We had our wedding reception at the telegraph location on 9/17/17. It was amazing. Leading up to the wedding day they were great with answering any questions I had promptly. The day of I didn't have to worry about a thing. We dropped off all decorations the day before and it was taken care of. The food is SO good! Our guests raved about how good it was. Throughout the reception I was asked how things were going or if we needed anything, but they were on the ball so nothing needed to be requested! We went with the lighting they provide and it was beautiful. The day after I came to pick up my decorations all packed up. Thank you to Genesis staff for being extremely pleasant throughout this whole experience and the night of our reception. All smiles.

Our reception was on November 14th 2015. We booked them in the beginning of the year and they were SO awesome. They were very flexible. They explained every step and cost. The day OF was seriously fantastic. They helped set everything up exactly how I wanted it. The food is wonderful (I even had a guest order extra to pick up a week later so they could take it home for the holidays) they cleaned up quickly, boxed things up for me AND helped me organize things. The DJ was great as well. They made sure the experience was smooth and it was everything we wanted.

My wife and I had our wedding here June 2014. Everything about this place is perfect. Megan was a huge help. We had delivered the table decorations, candy table supplies and head table decorations the Thursday before our wedding and Megan and her crew set up everything the way we wanted it.
The bathrooms were very clean. The DJ that Megan suggested was great. We met with him weeks prior to go over our playlist. We were able to add songs through his website, which made it easy to add and subtract songs we wanted played and songs we didn't want to be played.
We had the entire room to ourselves and it was perfect. The bar staff was quick serving our guest over 200 people. There was never a line for people getting drinks.
Also, we were able to taste samples of the food before hand, which the food was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Every was delicious, we still have people to this day, telling us how good the food was at our wedding.

If your looking for a great venue for any family effect you should choose Genesis.

My husband David and I had our wedding reception here in April of 2017 and we were very pleased with the service and the value! We were going a little crazy looking for a venue that would hold our 350 guests, not completely break the bank, and look nice too. Thankfully we came across Genesis Banquet Center! We worked mostly with Megan leading up to the big day, and she was very accommodating and helpful! She answered any questions I had promptly and thoroughly. She allowed me to feel comfortable and confident as the day approached, and by the time the day came, everything went smoothly!

The venue is very nice with a large, open feel, raised head table, lighting options, and plenty of room on the dance floor! Our favorite part was that everything is negotiable in terms of additions to the base per-person price (chair covers, china, lighting packages) so we were paying for things that weren't important to us. We could add on the things we really wanted and so it felt very customized to what we wanted!

We had so many compliments on how pretty the venue looked, how nice the staff was, and how AMAZING the food was! We loved the buffet options we chose and so did our guests.

If you are looking for a venue that holds a good-sized wedding, you really can't beat Genesis Banquet Center in terms of value and service!

Had my wedding here on August 5,2018 and it was everything I expected. The food was great and Matt and Megan was there when I needed to asked any question or had any concerns. Great venue for any occasion. The price wasn't bad as well. Would recommend to anyone.

We had our wedding on August 26, 2018. I would recommend this venue to anyone. We received compliments on everything and the prices are very reasonable. Meghan & Matt were very helpful and available to answer all of my questions and concerns. Dan our DJ was wonderful and kept us organized and on schedule. John set up our photo booth and was great with the ironing out the details. Even though I asked for a silver background for the photobooth , the black background was still awesome and it was a big hit at the reception. Karen the bartender was very attentive and even helped straighten my train & veil as I walked down the aisle. My sister, my Maid of Honor, raved about the staff, Karen, Matt, Antonio, and Steve and how helpful they were in helping her set up. I honestly have no complaints. Thanks for everything!
