Genesis Banquet and Convention Center Review

This place has gone above and beyond several times that I know of.

The venue was clean and nicely illuminated. Staff was fast and friendly. Food was pretty good for that type of venue. I wouldn't hate return ING for other events.

I have no complaints with this company. They delivered on time and had everything set up just how we wanted it. the servers were very professional and they did a wonderful job cleaning up. all the guests were happy and so were we

Genesis went above and beyond to make our wedding day amazing! The food was fantastic and the help from the caterers and their team was unbeatable! I highly recommend them for all events!

The service was well above all of our expectations. The staff was so helpful, polite and kind. All of the food was very good. I want to book our next event there.

Friendly staff, flexible arrangements.
I provided DJ services for a party of 240, and everything flowed smoothly.
Could use some minor building maintenance, but overall a great experience.
(Broken pillar base and missing outlet cover. A bit of epoxy would work.)

Genesis and the Moolah made our wedding and reception more than fantastic. Chad was there all through the planning process to answer any questions. Having a one stop wedding and reception venue was great. The gazebo was beautiful and there was plenty of shade for an outdoor evening wedding. The ballroom was beautifully set up with the chair covers and ribbons to match my colors. The food was delicious. My wedding day was worry-free and perfect. I would recommend Genesis and the Moolah as the perfect combination for any wedding or event.

Genesis was the perfect place for our wedding reception. Everyone was great to work with and helped make the planning process as easy as possible. They did a great job setting up the centerpieces and other decorations to make everything look perfect. And all of their food is delicious - we had a hard time picking out our favorites during the taste testing, and got a lot of compliments from our guests. I would highly recommended Genesis!

Amazing, I love this place. They are inexpensive, great upbeat staff. They will call you to confirm and remind, and make sure everything is in order for your event. I had my wedding here and they are absolutely fantastic. The who family that runs this place is all super nice and understanding. I love those family owed businesses, because they seem to understand and care more... Needless to say my niece is having her event here in a couple months as well!

I had the displeasure of working with Rick De La Fuente for the passed couple of months. Long story short, he was the most unprofessional person I have EVER had to deal with, and he is a very poor representation of Genesis Catering. Not only was he extremely inaccurate with his initial quote for the catering for our wedding, but he was continuously disrespectful and petty once he found out we were not going to need the catering OR the cake from him. We are now having to find another caterer and someone to make our cake for my wedding that is NEXT MONTH. With much irritation, he agreed to give us a full refund of our deposit and now we are on our way. However, I will never use Genesis Catering or refer anyone now, or in the future.

Wedding reception here. It was fun and the food was delicious.

Our Wedding was July 6,2018. This venue was AMAZING from our decorations to the food and our bartender! We had our ceremony and reception here and everything was literally breathtaking!!!!! Meagan was so responsive to any email,text,& phone call! Matt made sure everything ran smoothly and our bartender keep our drinks coming all night ! Not only was this venue beautiful but also very very reasonable price! Please if you looking to book any event stop by genesis catering & banquet!

Attended a wedding reception here. This is a very nice venue, well kept, good food, up-to-date accommodations, easy to find, professional - looking staff, affordable.

Genesis was the best choice I could have possibly made for my venue. They were amazing through it all. The food was outstanding, the staff was so friendly, and they made the room absolutely beautiful. They made everything run so smoothly. It was great. I honestly could not have been happier. I would recommend Genesis to everyone!

Always good food, good service and clean. Best banquet area in South County. Picked up meat for Christmas. Beef is a wonderful choice and sure saves a lot of my time.

We used Genesis for our wedding reception and they were the most nicest people to work with. Originally I was going to go with another caterer, but fate decided otherwise and I started searching and came upon them. I called them on the phone. They were honest, friendly, answered all my questions and concerns. The food was fantastic and all my guests were extremely happy with all the food and presentation of it. I am so glad that I didn't go with the other caterer!

Awesome venue. Highly recommend. Matt and his staff will complement your aven't.

Always good, especially the. Beef. The pumpkin dessert was not that great. But that's the first time I had something I didn't like.

Have been to many events here over the years and have always been positive experience.

I was here for a luncheon after a funeral. The place looked very nice and very clean. The food was really good. I LOVED the house salad they served. Everyone at my table was commenting on how good it was. The roast beef was also amazing. I'm generally not a fan but I was told how good it was before I even arrived so I decides to give it a go. I'm so glad i did. The workers were very nice and very respectful. I definetly will be consideing this place for my upcoming catering needs.

I use Genesis regularly for lunch meetings. The food is always great (try the couscous salad) and their service and communication are top notch.

I had my wedding reception September 29th, 2017 at the Telegraph location. Dinner was amazing, the bar service was amazing and so were the employees. They make it so easy to plan your wedding with options for invitations, your wedding cake, DJ, Photobooth, and really anything you want. You can tell they really love their jobs because they do such an incredible job.

Everything leading up to the reception was so easy. Everyone whom worked at Genesis was so easy to talk to and answered any questions that I had. They helped set up put tables and offered any help they could.

We had a lot of people and wanted the reception to be spacious and the venue was perfect.The reception was so affordable and was at the highest quality service. If I ever have any big events again, I would absolutely use Genesis Catering again!!

Enjoyed a beautiful wedding n dinner recently well kept n service

I used Genesis for my wedding reception on June 11. I grew up in St. Louis but I now live in KS and have for the past 6 years. So I was having a lot of worry and anxiety from planning a wedding from a state away and being rusty on potential locations and vendors in the area.
Thanks to a suggestion from a friend, I came upon genesis. I had the absolute greatest ease planning with them!
They are so friendly! They are so kind and flexible when it comes to scheduling. They are so great to communicate with! And they do A LOT of things that you wouldn't think of!
Megan and Matt were life savers for us during the planning process.
The food was amazing. And the pricing is SO affordable!
I am very pleased with my experience with Genesis!

Genesis did an awesome job on my daughters wedding! Chad and Megan were very easy to work with and always available when needed. I called multiple venues and no one else had a price anywhere comparable to Genesis and the food was great! I would not hesitate to recommend them to others!

The place was beautiful, the food was really good and the staff was very nice. We had a great time here.

It was a very nice place, but too small of a space for our Prom. We were all very squished on the dance floor. I'm not sure exactly how many people went, but if I had to guess I would say it was more than 200 but less than 300 people.

Excellent food and service for large groups and catering

This is a late review, but I'm reviewing it now because I'd totally do another event here! We had our wedding here last year and everything was amazing!!! Matt & Megan really worked with me to bring my vision to life!! They let me bring in any decorations I wanted, and even offered to set everything up. I am so glad we had our wedding here! Everything went off without a hitch, no stress and no mess. I would definitely recommend them to anyone 100%. Thank you to the whole Genesis Staff for making our wedding go so smoothly!!! You guys rock!

Great place for a small to medium wedding in the Jeffersonian room. Can't say about the other room. Was clean and good staff as well.

I work for a large apartment complex and each year we use Genesis Catering. We are extremely satisfied each year and have rave reviews on the food. They are very helpful and courteous.

Went to venue for wedding reception. Food and service were pretty good. I would plan an event here again.

You want good food, great people to work with then this is the place. Matt and all the staff at Genesis were so nice and did everything they could to make our day so wonderful and stress free. I had a candy bar and they set it up exactly the way I want and keep it stocked with the candy I brought. The food was excellent and the room was so beautiful. I would recommend this place to anyone.

If I could give 6 stars I would. I have been involved in the wedding industry for years. This time being a customer, and planning my daughter's wedding, I had a new perspective on the value of an owner managed caterer with professional, dedicated staff that provides top notch service. Megan and Chad accommodated every request. Every guest (even the critics) raved about the service and the food. On the evening of, Genesis staff introduced themselves, answers any and all last minute questions, accommodated a few last minute changes. They made themselves available to us all evening. Genesis treated each and every guest with professional kindness. We had off site catering at NEO. on Locust- again, arrived on time, set up and cleaned up like ninjas. Worked seamlessly with other vendors and friends helping out. Even when staff at NEO seemed stressed, Genesis maintained a great attitude. Megan and Matt are so easy to talk to, never off putting, never too busy to help even with the smallest details.

Had my son and daughter-in-laws wedding/reception here last night and was very nice. Matt and the entire staff were attentive, friendly and professional.

We couldn't have asked for more, even pre or post covid.

Staff were nice, the event we attended there was small.

Was here after a funeral service of a team member. The staff was GREAT and very nice.
