GEM Foundation is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to providing exceptional care for orphaned and abandoned children with special needs in Uganda. With a mission to provide each child with a safe, loving home and exceptional care, GEM Foundation has been making a significant impact on the lives of these children since its inception.
The foundation was established by a group of individuals who were passionate about making a difference in the lives of vulnerable children. They recognized the need for specialized care for children with special needs who had been abandoned or orphaned due to various reasons such as poverty, disease, and conflict.
At GEM Foundation, we believe that every child deserves love, care, and support regardless of their background or circumstances. We are committed to providing holistic care that addresses the physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs of each child under our care.
Our team comprises experienced caregivers who are trained to provide specialized care for children with special needs. We have also partnered with medical professionals who offer regular check-ups and treatment when necessary.
We currently provide shelter and support services to over 45 orphaned and abandoned children with special needs in Uganda. Our homes are designed to create an environment where each child can thrive physically, emotionally and socially. We ensure that our homes are safe spaces where they can grow up feeling loved and supported.
In addition to providing shelter services, we also offer education programs tailored towards meeting the unique learning needs of each child under our care. Our education programs aim at equipping them with skills that will enable them to become self-sufficient adults capable of contributing positively towards society.
At GEM Foundation we rely on donations from well-wishers both locally within Uganda as well as internationally from people all over the world who share our passion for helping vulnerable children. Every donation goes directly towards supporting our programs aimed at improving the lives of these precious little ones.
We believe in transparency when it comes to how donations are used; therefore we regularly update donors on how their contributions have impacted individual lives within our community through newsletters or social media platforms like Facebook or Twitter.
