No more words could describe this place than "wow". I loved the view from the wishnu statue, its such I could see a whole Bali from there
Great Location and beautiful Wishnu and Garuda statues on the shore!
Bad management.
Ticketing is very slow. Very inefficient.
After ticketing queue you need to queue again for the pedestal bus. They should provide more buses rather than ask people to wait under the sun.
Best one for hindu temple.. must visit place only issue is the entry tickets its too much. GOVT SHOULD THINK ABOUT IT
Ticket raise again now is 80k. Very quiet place, nothing to see here except GWK Photoshoot, Parahyangan, Garuda sculpture, and unfinished Garuda Wisnu Sculpture. Not worthed to visit if no event occur.
There will be a huge statue built here, and it will be the highest statue in Indonesia. This main statue is on progress.
Garuda Wisnu Kencana - GWK park located at Bali, at the side of street to Uluwatu. The traffic is little bit hard, please be patient.
Ticket price for domestic is 70 K IDR for weekdays and 80 K IDR for weekend.
Little bit expensive.
You can find several main atrium there. Such as lotus pond, Wisnu atrium and etc.
Location is clean and like another historical park.
There is atm, souvernir shop and open theater.
They open GWK till 22:00.
Oh, dont forget to try bebek bengil :)
Recommended, mayb for some people the ticket entrance was expensive but for me worth it bcz the places had so many spot for explore, there are dance show, restaurant, shopping market, cafe n many more.
Such a great place to visit for everyone, children, youngsters or even old people..
Love it!
"Must see" place in Bali! So beautiful yet wonderful..
it was a nice place and amaizing...
you can watch a performance of some balinese dance etc...
verry much cool spot to take a picture...
Lovely view and statue. Well managed. Wanted to visit again
One of the most memorable places in Bali. I do enjoy the arts in the peaceful natural place. So good to be there again..
Great statue.. there are statue, cliff, so many photo spot here. You need extra time here i think a half of a day. If youre a photogasm and hiker i bet you gonna spend a whole day to explore this place. Its amazing to be here
Soundrenaline is here! And it's a Best choice to organize music festival here.
It's disappointing, 80k only to see statue that same for each year and not improved?? Even the view of the construction is better at parking spot than the main spot. Also the way their system to go to main spot with shuttle bus is the worse. Don't ever go here till the site is finished.
huge place with gorgeous view overlooking Bali island. it has several venues in it with capacity ranged from hundreds to thousands, either indoor or outdoor. the main venue is one of the most popular venue in Bali, made by cutting the limestone and holds many prestigious international events. I went there for Soundrenaline 2019 and enjoyed my time. When there is no concerts, they have a routine show and there are some world class restaurants. they have that huge God Wisnu statue that's bigger than USA's Lady Liberty
Place is beautiful by itself. The statue is massive. Be ready with your hats and sunscreen.
An icon that is still progressing. The 3rd tallest sculpture in the world. Facility buildings around the object has well done built.
The place is still under construction. It will be great once it is ready. But till such time, the entry fee (125k RP) is too high for this place.
A really nice place to visit. You can take a shuttle cart to go to the monument or you can just walk. And also, you get this beautiful looking scarf when you go there
The main statue blew my mind. I noticed it as I flew into Indonesia and was curious to find out what it was.
Definitely worth a check, get it off your to see list.
Lots of nice places to take photos and enjoy the scenery. I recommend taking the bus tour as it will really help you coming back down once you've seen all the monuments!
Huge statue (120m). Also very nice view over South Bali.
The statue is still in progress and will be greater when it's finished. However, this place is recommended for enjoying local tradition.
The work is kinda still under progress but worth visiting....
GWK is a huge park and you have various mode of transportation to go around. You can walk, rent bicycle, or try their shuttle service (30k/person). If you're travelling with seniors (>60 y.o.), there is free shuttle service from the information center to ticketing office.
They have Kecak Dance performance around 6:30 PM and other performance from morning till evening (there's a booklet explaining the schedule).
Very impressive monuments but unfortunately a lot of the park was closed for a private event and we couldn't see all we wanted to. Worth a visit but check their schedule for closures.
My dream comes true.
I always want to see GWK in person, and it comes true.
It's so big....!!
So so BIG and awesome.
Ticket price for domestic tourist is IDR 80.000,- and IDR 125.000,- for foreign tourist.
It's clean but the weather is so hot, you better prepare some sunscreen lotion, hat or umbrella if you want to go here.
Make sure you use the most comfortable shoes that you have because you'll need to walk 2-5 km until you reach the tallest part of this place.
Ticket price : $$

Entertainment :
This place will give you Bali's culture vibes and atmosphere. You need to take free shuttle bus to get into the area from the parking lot. There are so many spots for take a pictures with arca and you can enjoy theatrical show inside. Everything's good, but ticket is too pricey
you re welcome, GWK...actually I m enjoy here..just little bit disappointed because can t enter GWK building and go to the top...
Awesome place, dont forget book from traveloka apps so you got souvenirs
I came here many years ago and this place is expanding and well maintained. Impressive tall statue and one in finishing exceeds 120 meter height. I always like the stone hill cut into square with alleys to walk thru. Amphiteatre holds regular Balinese dance which is already included in enterance ticket.
Surrounding areas before entrance is good compared with 5/6 years ago, but when you go inside, it isnt as good as outside. The garuda wisnu statue isnt ready to open for tourists.. so we buy the ticket for nothing.. the environment inside also dirty because they dont clean up after the events..
One thing that i can appreciate is the dance shows.. we must appreciate the dancers and artists who entertain us
I've got a lot of memories here, i came here on 2013, its six year already till i come here again. Just miss this place so much, miss the memory and miss the person i came here with. Sad. There are some temple inside here so if you are wearing a short you are gonna have to cover it, there is also some gift store, coffee shop and restaurant inside, this place is huge. Its take maybe 2 hours if you wanna enjoy it. Just dont forget to wear a hat because it is really hot here
We arrived at the park in the evening and were told that we couldn't go up the Garuda-Wisnu statue after 6pm but that we could still get the tickets to the park complex. We told the staff member who was helping us that we'd like to go up the statue and that we had decided to come back the next day. When asked when they'd open in the morning, he said 8am.
So, we were there at 8am the next day and purchased tickets to the park at 125,000 per pax. We walked to the Garuda-Wisnu statue only to find that the entry to go up the statue would open only at 10am. We had to wait about an hour and 15 minutes for this.
On top of all this, there was a separate ticket for going up costing 150,000 per pax; more expensive than the park entrance ticket.
The tour up the statue was ultimately not very interesting. The guide first took us to a gallery with pictures of the Statue's construction timeline which he expanded upon in detail. And when we were finally taken to the top, there were only pictures that detailed the construction of the statue. Small portholes afforded views of the outside from that elevation; nothing panoramic about it. No photography is allowed inside the statue either.
My recommendation is to just visit the park and view the statue from below. The statue and its surroundings were breathtaking. It is probably the only largest monument to the Hindu pantheon of Gods in the world. You wouldn't find anything of this sort even in India unfortunately.
Too expensive. Tourism scam. Selling culture and religion for a very high price. Should be free for everyone and should be a temple the garuda wishnu structure atleast. Also after 12am they switch of the lights of the wisnu garuda and in distance you don't see it anymore. Would be nice for them to leave it on till sunlight as incoming flights can see it as well. Bali has a rich culture and is beautiful but this culture should not be mistaken for profit making especially in this manner.. Overall it's to expensive and the Starbucks is so odd to be in there.
Must visit this place... Try to reach there before 12 PM to catch awesome cultural show and parade
Nice place to visit, so memorable, huge enough for walking, better coming at afternoon or at evening, it has a good views to at morning, just explore the place, feel the goodness of nature, feel the fresh air, many place to come for shopping, if you're come in the right schedule you can see the full moon package which means cost more than the ordinary tickets but it's worth to have it, because it offers Kecak dance, dinner and many dance and cultural attraction that we can involved in it. It's great when we're there and we'll be back for there soon
Magnificent. The statue was big and when you see it upclose it was just super great. The place is big and you need to walk to the statue area but the is shuttle for idr 30k. You can go to the building and go upstairs for another idr 150k
Love it. You need to buy ticket for shuttle using boogie car
Have been here for 4-5 times but atill amazed with this park. The statue has been completed and it looks magnificent and great.
Tour to the top of statue using elevator cost us Idr 150k, a bit overpriced I think.
However, very proud Indonesia has this 3rd highest statue in the world.
Great experience during my visit on GWK cultural park. The statues on the side of the road from the park entry to the main parking are very nice representing animal thematic. The cultural park contains huge impressive statues describing the most iconic Bali landmark depicting the Hindu God Wisnu, atop his mount, the mythical eagle, Garuda. Soaring to a height of over 120 meters, this is one of the tallest monumental statues in the world, higher than the Statue of Liberty. The statue makes a stunning central feature of GWK Cultural Park, a fascinating 60 hectare cultural park that draws visitors from around the globe and provides a tantalizing glimpse into Bali s fascinating heritage through intriguing cultural performances, legendary folklore tales, immense sculptures and dramatic cinematic presentation. Enjoy panoramic island views as you explore the park on foot or by Segway. Indulge in Indonesian heritage cuisine, immerse yourself in a land steeped in mythology, or plan your next big event in one of GWK s epic venues.
Good...but the queue is bad....many time lost for waiting the sutthle bus. And waiting for ticketing
A huge cultural park at Bali that newly build. You can watch the great Vishnu statue that enormously build. It is advise to take a tour bus since this place is huge to explore by foot. They also offer you with food that serve in buffet at the top of the park. You can enjoy the food there, of course it's come in a package that you can ask when you buy entry ticket. Amazing place to visit at daytime.
interesting dance and music, and huge statues of Wisnu and Garuda (Hindu dieties). no historic value, as park is built for tourists.
I reallllyyy love this place so muchhh you can enjoy many traditional dances in here and take wonderful pictures Buy tickets in Traveloka to get cheaper price
Recently opened, this place is worth to visit. Tickets for tourists are 125k per person which I find a bit on the expensive side.
But it s definitely worth a visit when in bali.
Good place to visit. It was not a ancient temple. Build withing few decades. should be there when events are started.
Great Place to visit, so many photostops to take picture
GWK is one of the iconic places in Bali that depicts the majesty of Lord Vishnu as a preserver of the universe. There is a large open space for dance performances. The best time to visit is late afternoon

Nice park in the southern Bali. All man made just for tourists. The is visible for several Mike's alone the beach in Western part of Bali.
Very nice place to visit. Lots to see and also have many shops. Need a half day to look around.
great statue, great view, only it is so hot on a sunny day. better get here at morning or afternoon
Nice place to enjoy Balinese art performance and art statues
Traditional/unique place in bali, you can watching the kecak dance perform by eksotic people
This place is excellent, grounds very clean and the views are awesome
Clean. Quiet. Easy to find meals, souvenirs, kindly & friendy people, guides. It's a nice place to visit with family...
Waste of time and money. It s spectacular but not worth the price. Forced to pay shuttle bus fee to go to the largest statue but it s unfinished and not allowed to enter. :/
Hey Guys, I want to share you about GWK Cultural Bali. make sure you know about the price and facilities that you will get with your ticket. Ask to the official Customer Service of GWK who has PIN (Ask Me) on their chest. I share picture about the price and facilities on GWK I wish it will help you when you visit GWK.
Maybe I'm to kind giving this a star 2. Cuz this was actually not worth the money. Think my group of 4 were in the park for like 30-40 minutes. There are some cool statues but not worth 150k pp. And the park is not even finished
Great place for a family trip, just don't forget to bring an umbrella or hat
So happy to visit a place which has Hindu heritage preserved. Such a clean and well maintained place.
There is a amphitheatre as well which shows glimpses of Hindu mythology.
Just relaxing or taking a photo will be great on sunset, highly recommended
Marvel on earth, though it's yet to be fully completed. Go there on a partly cloudy day and spend your time exploring every place inside the cultural park. World's 4th largest statue.
I came here for Soundrenaline 2018 music event....great place !
Wonderful statue, the tour guide says GWK is the largest statue in the word
We were on out way to Kuta when we spotted the massive structure out of luck. To be honest is visible from the highway. We drove there out of curiosity. The structure wasn't finished yet but the rest of the park was open. I found it really pricey and explicitly designed for tourists. There are some restaurants and coffee places for a quick break. In my opinion it's not worth it if you are on a tight schedule. If you have time just take a look the size of the structure is pretty impressive
Nice place but not ancient.. also have kecak dance performance in the evening
June 2019,
Adult Rp 125.000
Child Rp 100.000
Believe me it's not worth every penny of yours if you just want to take a picture of Garuda Wisnu Kencana statue you won't have best angle on inside entrance (which located 1 KM from ticket booth) nor inside the GWK entrance because it's just not well manage (you can appoint it to their manager)
Hidden fees, Rp 30.000 for Caddy Car one way only straight ahead to The New Garuda Wisnu Kencana statue and when you're on your way down make sure don't throw away ticket from Caddy Cars if you're lucky you might able to enjoy one more ride too far away from where they pick you on first place
You'll got a free beverages ticket and I suggest you to go straight and rip it, we don't ask for free if you're not well manage it and don't want to compliment us as customer kindly don't force yourself to. If you're kinda curious just go use it, you'll see if you're treated as a complimentary service or a free rider guest. Unless you're some sort of tourist...
Amazing landmark. So many spots for take some photos and so many great sculpture there.
The park is interesting sadly the construction of the statue of Vishnu has never been completed...
Amazing! Can be pretty hot during the day so don't forget to pack for hats or umbrella. Food is not allowed pass the entrance but they do provide food stalls with different options. There are also performances which I personally think a great way to introduce culture to the kids. Overall a great place to learn and sightseeing
What an amazing cultural park! Great statue in wonderful island. Definitely a must visiting place when you come to Bali
Excellent Statues. Worth visiting. Must visit while in Bali.
Great! Bit crowded but seing those giant sculpture is amazing! Been since forever and finally it's done!
As written and described in the back of guide leaflet for visiting the place :
Garuda Wisnu Kencana statue depicts Wisnu riding Garuda. In Hindu mithology Lord Wisnu is seen as the protector of the universe, while his trusted companion, the mighty eagle-like Garuda represents loyalty and selfless devotion. Kencana means gold, and both are adorned in crowns of gold mosaic. The Garuda is also the national embleem of Indonesia and represents freedom.
Designed by the renowned Balinese artist Nyoman Nuarta, the statue made of copper and brass and features 754 modules with 25 steel segments weighing in at the hefty 900 tons, with a steel weigh of 1300 tons. The statue and the pedestal is120,9 meters high with a width of 64 meters thanks to Garuda's wingspan. Its distict green color comes from oxidation as the copper reacts with the elements.
Plaza Wisnu.
Among the Hindu trinity of Gods - Shiwa, Wisnu and Brahma, Wisnu is worship as the guardian of univerese and the God of life and peace. Located in a hilltop, plaza Wisnu offers breathaking panorama of the island and is the perfect place to catch the sunset in the area.
Plaza Garuda.
