Garuda Wisnu Kencana statue depicts Wisnu riding Garuda. In Hindu mithology Lord Wisnu is seen as the protector of the universe, while his trusted companion, the mighty eagle-like Garuda represents loyalty and selfless devotion. Kencana means gold, and both are adorned in crowns of gold mosaic. The Garuda is also the national embleem of Indonesia and represents freedom.
Designed by the renowned Balinese artist Nyoman Nuarta, the statue made of copper and brass and features 754 modules with 25 steel segments weighing in at the hefty 900 tons, with a steel weigh of 1300 tons. The statue and the pedestal is120,9 meters high with a width of 64 meters thanks to Garuda's wingspan. Its distict green color comes from oxidation as the copper reacts with the elements.

Plaza Wisnu.
Among the Hindu trinity of Gods - Shiwa, Wisnu and Brahma, Wisnu is worship as the guardian of univerese and the God of life and peace. Located in a hilltop, plaza Wisnu offers breathaking panorama of the island and is the perfect place to catch the sunset in the area.

Plaza Garuda.
Garuda is a bird from mithology, described as having body of half-man and half-bird. This personal ride of God Vishnu symbolizes loyalty, trustworhty, and sacrifice.
