They said it s taller than liberty finally finished after so many years. You can also watch the barong dance performance or kecak dance. Free for the dance, you just have to pay for the entrance ticket. There s also a shopping place, and starbucks!
Great out to cultural park. Don't miss the shows in the park. Bit boring but when you understand they are lovely
Tickets will cost around 10 AUD.. nice place ..can watch Balinese dance shows which will be performed on every one hour breaks .. and there are other place to see around.
There is shuttle from parking lot to main entry where you need to buy ticket to enter the park. But you have to pay more if you want to take a tour up to main statue of GWK. The park itself is too big for walking. There are bikes and scooter to rent inside.
It's a great place and the show of ogoh-ogoh and also kecak dance was very amazing!!
Very interesting and an impressive structure. Nice to see all the pre-cast pieces of the first statues process. Beautiful rock excavations too.
This statue is AMAZING!
The sheer size of the GWK statue is a must see. The complex itself has quite a few activities, but the statue is the draw card.
Entrance fee is a bit steep at IDRp 125K for adults.
Nice place with perfect view and the biggest statue in bali
watch the sunset show instead! you'll avoid the direct sun and get a very pretty background.
Amazing place. Stone mountain with good landscape. Wisnu Gods statue with 120m height.
The architecture is absolutely stunning. Knowing the GWK statue is need 20+ years to finish and become the 4th biggest statue in the world is amazing
Very nice park and impressive wisnu statue. The whole thing is breathtaking and well worth it. BUT prices are rather high and you can easily spend insane cash there.
Parking 10k
Entrance 125k
Optional shuttle 30k
Optional bike scooter etc 30-60k
Picture 75-175k depending on location
Wisnu statue entrance 150k
It s not really transparent and so make sure to bring enough cash if you want to see everything
In the entrance no mentioning that there is extra payment to go in the statue.
Do not eat at Waroeng Andyka - we ordered one thing and get something else, waited more than 40 min, woman played on phone all the time.
Good Park. Disappointed that it was extra to go up inside the statue and no cameras allowed inside to capture the view. Tours inside the statute only every 1/2 hour
Monumental place must be visited for holiday in Bali. Gigantic landscape with awesome view
The new icon of Bali, a must visit landscape. The sun feels brighter and hotter i think not so suitable for those travel with kid
A MUST stop if youre visiting bali, you can see the huuuge garuda statue from the plane as well as on ground, sticks out like a sore thumb. This place is rich with beauty and culture. Do not miss out visiting here!
Huge temple. Outstanding statue of the deity. But there's always a long queue for tickets so go there early to get a quicker access. There's a parking lot and free shuttles from the parking lot to the ticketing counters
*Magnificent and Majestic*
Magnificent and Majestic are the words one can think of when you visit this must visit place in Bali!
Depicting the nuances from great Hindu Mythology of Ramayana, this place is built to showcase the greatness of Garuda, the carrier of Lord Vishnu!
Its being built at a huge space and one can see the main statue even while you are about to land in Bali because of its height!
A must visit place and I would recommend this to all who so ever is visiting or planning to visit Bali!
This place is not yet completed, but you can see a glimpse of it when it is. A beautiful landmark!
Garuda Wisnu Kencana statue is the symbol of God Vishnu riding the great Garuda as his trusted companion. The statue is designed to be one of the world s largest and highest monumental statue in the world. Total height of the statue is 120m, consists of 24 segments and formed with 754 modules made of copper and brass coated patina acid
Really nice place although the heat is very intense. I would recommend bringing plenty of water, a hat and/or umbrella for the sun. Amazing views and love the statues and culture.
Long walking distance from entrance.. the weather is so so hot..this place is very big.. beautiful statue..
It's a great place, but I recommend coming here morning or afternoon when the sun is softer.
interesting place to visit. knowing some local made #bali #indonesia
Went here to see the statue ended up discovering a local music festival and saw limpbizkit for $15 aud. So glad I went to see this attraction.
Amazing statue, nice staff. Better to come after 3 pm or before 10 am. Because the weather so hot
I love the view from the top. Great place for photo as well.
Beautiful place..specially at evening there's much instagramable place for shot your camera
A cultural park and amusement center with a huge Garuda Wisnu Kencana statue made of tonnages of metal.
I've been to Kencana place with uncle abul kalam and uncle's family .. they were so happy ..
You also have to go that place !
Outstanding performance, great place for cultural exhibition..
It is an impressive tourist attraction. The main statue of Garuda is really amazing. There will be a long wait for ticket. Lots of walking and lots of water is needed which is readily available for purchase. There is a shuttle for those who have trouble walking. I would definitely recommend you to use the shuttle. A map containing routes to visit different spots will be provided. Worth once a visit.
Great place to see and experience Balinese culture. There are cultural performances in the theater and outside the park. Also has a huge area /playground for kids.
Garuda Wisnu Kencana is a big dream of Indonesia Goverment and Bali's people. Garuda is Indonesian state symbol and Wisnu is name of Hindu God.
My first impresion of the Garuda Wisnu statue is an awe. Its so magnificent and beautyfull at the sametime. Its as if protect Bali from above.
If you want to visit, prepare to face some traffic.
A well spend half day here.
Things to carry.
1:umbrella (too hot)
2:water bottle.
3:camera stand
4:sunglasses
5:portable fan.
Things to do.
Great place for some great photos.
Good to see some cultural dance.
Rest they will give you a map with day plan.
Better start early in the morning to have a better light.
It's something that I'm tempted to bill as one of the modern wonders of the world. The carving looks true to its ancient form despite being made in the 21st century. The entire experience though was a little American - with hidden costs. So, you pay a fairly decent fee of 125,000 to get in and soon after are approached by a customer service representative who informs you that this will not allow us to go beyond the 2nd floor and that needs another 200k. Moreover, we were told that the walk to the statue grin the reception is 2km and if we want we can get a 30,000 shuttle. I walked and found it to be barely under a km.
Awesome place a must visit place in Bali.
Also there are dance performance at the amphitheatre. Ticket charge was 60K IDR per head and 10 K IDR in the weekend but worth money. Pictures will speak more , kindly check the attached pictures.
This is a really nice place to visit and walk around. Though it is abit of a walk to the top, but there is a option to catch a car up the top and walk back down for a fee of 100000 Indonesian per person. It is still under construction in parts but beautiful place still.
It's a huge park with great view. It was an exciting trip.
This place is made solely to attract tourists, and is not even finished. There is nothing genuine or historic about it. If we would have known we would not have gone here. Don't waste your time here - go to any beach, the jungle, ubud or go rafting instead.
IF you by any chance choose to go here anyway, do NOT get the included meal ticket. The meal is a buffet that is generally tasteless and made as cheap as possible.
Do see the included dance shows, as it is kinda cool to see the cultural heritage in action. However, not worth to go here even if only for the dance shows.
Huge statue in Bali is one of the must visit venue. Good place to take a picture
Exordinary Statues and great food!
Also with cool suttle bus lol.
It is a cultural place. You can buy ticket with buffet lunch. Lunch provide grilled chicken(good)steamed rice, chips, fruits, mixed vegetables(taste is slightly different for me, cann't eat), corn soup, fish curry. U can see the cultural dance in the theatre.
Nice place, clean and nice views...
Recommended for vacation
Nice place... must visit to see the huge statue of Garuda Wisnu... this statue is so huge that you can see it from airport plane during landing and take off
Always visited here since 2002 everytime I came to Bali. The cultural park always amazes me, with its big statue, wide area, cliffs etc. Quick tips : spend half day here to enjoy the kecak dance cultural show. The nusantara dance show on 2 pm also brilliant and amusing.
Amazing..it doesnt feels like in Indonesia. The place was clean, beautiful and lots of instagrammble spot
One of the best place in Bali. Had a great time climbing but was very much shocked to hear that the great statue which was supposed to be built was stopped due to some internal state politics. But when it is completed it will be the world's highest garuda.
This is just a tourist trap. Completely skippable. Specially for people from the sun continent. Overpriced entry fee as well. Much better things to do in Bali.
Absolutely loved this place, nice walk (there are hills), peaceful, cultural and dancing
The park itself is huge, but the tour is kind of pricey. Didn't join the tour, so no comments on that.
This park was built since more than 20 years ago but it's a pity that what you can see inside is only 3 big statues (including GWK 4th tallest statue in the world). There's no audio culture explanation and no tour guide. You also cannot visit what's inside GWK, only some photos and nothing else (I guess it's because it haven't finished yet).
The park has many big areas with potentially to built something but all of them are empty, so nothing else to visit. You can take some photos but there's no cultural or history information, just statues! Other attactions are traditional dance shows and amphitheatre but a pity when we arrived there it was under renovation, and there was no sign about it before you have to walk upstairs, so silly. It's very disappointing when the government has invested time for more than 20 years with a result like this.
Quite epic place, they have turned an old quarry into nice place to hang out.
Everything on a large epic scale. The day was perfect which made it more beautiful
A incredible statue you can see from the far distance from all over Bali. It s a recently build tourist attraction but the area is very big and a nice place to explore. Wandering between those rocky cliffs made me feel a bit like being in a beautiful fantasy game (like Zelda BOTW)
Great place .. must go .. many photo spot here .. love it ^ ^
Well constructed, lots of cultural programmes going on...
Very impressive sight and
Still 5 years from full completion.pricing Rp125000 for entrance plus Rp150000 for entry to Wisnu interior and museum..
Great place..the statue is worth seeing..and the cultural programmes r good too..
Grand Cultural Villange and iconic statue that is remarkable in size and in detail. Can't imagine what it would be like if the complex is done
If you are someone who loves to know of culture and the story behind it I suggest you keep a day to spend here amidst the stories that retells the local tale in the form of drama and dance.
amazed by the beauty of the giant statue Garuda Wishnu Kencana and other statues in the area. its a quite interesting tourism object. the whole area are well maintained. ticket 125k/pax, theres shuttle bus service with additional 30k to take you from the entrance to the main statue. bike for rent also available
nice ambience, many photo spots, we can see traditional Balinese dances, better to buy ticket online which cost 75K per person for entrance fee instead of 125K if you buy at the locket. if you want to go up to the observatory floor in the building which has huge statue above it, you need to pay 100K more which imo is not worthy at the moment, at least wait until it is renovated as planned (the design was displayed on the 1st floor's wall) than it will be more beautiful. but if you want to see Bali's view from the observatory deck, please come before 5pm as the locket will be closed at 5pm.
I love the atmosphere, the education, the green tree and statue
The food is also okay
And the prices is okay
The staff is all polite
I'm sure it will be a good place to eat and drink
If you want to go there and having fun.. Its the best place to goooo
With families or even your partner
Wear hat, comfortable shoes/sandals, n sunglasses. And... A bottle of water. Bicycle or small car only in a certain area.
The place is so-so for me. Not worth the money, too overpriced. Nothing to do there :(
See the largest Garuda statue! They say it's taller than the Statue of Liberty. Explore carved out limestone hills. Dine at the restaurant overlooking the lovely view of Jimbaran bay area.
Boring, thought we could go to the top of the statue which was hyped up by our taxi driver. Once you buy the tickets they only get you to the bottom floor you need to pay another 200k to go a couple more floors up. Also need to pay for a cabbie to get to the top if you dont want to walk. Best thing was the Starbucks...
Its great place....... You can see the theater in every hour.... Don't miss it
you can see the 2nd biggest statue in the world Garuda Wisnu Kencana, entrance fee Rp. 120,000 per person and enjoy all performance on the main stage. Lunch and det on top of GWK are with extra charge.
Entrance fee too expensive. But the Garuda statue looks really nice. Pls consider lowering the entrance fee.
Nice place! The last time I went here is about 4 or 5 years ago, compare to that, now it's more amazing . You will receive a selendang after you paid the ticket at the ticket booth, tie the selendang around your hip.
When I went here I had thought the statues were historic but they had just been finished a year ago. There s plenty to do and see but I feel it s more catered to domestic tourism. The free drink voucher is just for a small glass of nestea but it is worth it on a hot day and to see the view.
Amazing place... but don't forget to carry your sunscreen..cap and water bottles etc..as you have to walk a little
Had an absolutely amazing time here at sunset. Very fair pricing and we had an lovely meal with a spectacular view after touring the park until dark. Highly recommend to anyone in Bali. It is simply stunning here.
Time spent: 3 hours
Balinese culture and tradition introduced to us with the dances and performances in theatres. Lots of small shops for buying souvenir and shopping dresses. It has a theatre which casted a movie about Garuda. There is a Temple at the top and is said that holy water comes out of it.
Very interesting place. The statues are quite big and the view is very nice.
the surrounding and the park is clean and well maintained, lovely place to spend time
This place is mystically awesome and remind me a lot of steam punk movies/anime. Garuda wisnu statue still on progress but it will be epic
I didn't went inside...so i don't know what's inside
This is a very cultural place, I loved the dance. Show.
Hats off to an architectural marvel. They really went above and beyond paying their respects to this statue of legends. Really enjoyed the tour albeit over the top expensive. You'll pay for parking (if you have your own car), entry, taxi to the statue, then tour and of course your way back. The restaurant had superb views and food was good. But that won't make up for the $80 (USD) for a tour around a statue for two people. Wish they'd charge less.
Good places. Need more than a day to visit all GWK areas but it was fun
It's very beautiful place to visit. It's also have a show - kecak dance. Visit and see more guys.
The entrance ticket is 80thousand rupiah not that worth it for a short visit. It takes pretty much time to enjoy all of the spot
Entry fee to be paid... they got a huge space..few are in construction.... don't miss the big garuda statue...it will be a very good tourist attractive place in upcoming days
