Very honest. They are very dependable and do great work.

They are the bee's knees and they have my keys!
They also have a really comfy couch.

John has diagnosed a problem on my car twice that other mechanics were unable to. My only regret is that this shop is not closer. Best automotive shop I've known. If I could give more stars I would.

After being stood up twice by a mobile mechanic company I had it towed here. It arrived 4 pm Monday afternoon, my car was finished 8:30 Tuesday morning. John was so helpful. The ladies inside are so friendly. The mechanics were honest.

I brought my 24 year old Mustang Cobra in to get my front suspension and steering components updated and the job was well done.

Very polite staff. Very knowledgable mechanic. Truck was done when he said it was going to be done.

My ford broke down took it to them they got right on the job and got it back up and running the next day I would recommend them if your automobile brakes down they don t stop till they find the problem and get you back on the rode thanks for your service

We had to get off the highway, while on our way to Florida, because our "check engine" light came on and the car started stopping at red lights and getting choked up. We found Garrett's Automotove shop on Yelp, and thank goodness we did. We received the kind of service everyone hopes for, when having unexpected car trouble. We were out in little time. The guys found the most cost effective way for us to fix the engine coils, and didn't even charge us what most shops would. What a great experience!

This shop is very clean and very professional diagnostic was on point the owner and stance is very helpful with all my automotive needs I would recommend Sharp to anyone makes you feel like you re a part of the family when you interact with the owner and staff of this business I recommend this business to anyone that have Automotive needs weather is new old Ford Chevy import domestic all around good shop thank you

Garrett Automotive is the only place I take my car for work!
I needed a lot of work on my car and felt very comfortable with the quote and the final work done. I believe they are honest and truly operate in good faith for their customers. That is hard to find these days.

Jeep broke down, called Garrett Auto (after Google showed great reviews), within the hour it had been towed to the shop and the issue addressed. They ordered the part, fixed it, and were able to get it all done by the end of the day! Super friendly staff and wonderful experience. We have all been to the mechanic who tries to screw us over or is just simply an ass, and I would tell you to head over here to avoid all that! Thank you!!!

My heater core was leaking I went their to get it repaired because the one in Kennsaw they had closed thats where they replaced it before 1 year ago . They checked it out and said they needed to run some tests on it that I should have the radiator and the water pump also replaced it would be about 2100 dollars. I did not let them repair it.
I went to another shop had it repaired for 400 dollars running great.

Rip off central. They know what they are doing, I give them that. But they charged me 1295.00 for a Injection Drive Module for my 1997 f350 diesel. The truck broke down and i had no scanner and it was 70 miles from home or i could have fixed it myself. The IDM from Ford is 595..they charged 812 for the part. 225 dollar diesel diagnostics fee and God knows how much in labor for 4 bolts and 2 plugs on the inner fender. Waste of 695 dollars.

Work here seems legit got belt tensioner then front tie rods put on here second visit fixed issues both times price second time was alil high but you get what you pay for I ll come back good work

Truck started smoking on 75. John and his staff stayed after hours and made sure I was back on the road. These folks went above and beyond. Their prices were more than reasonable. I definitely reccomend this auto shop to anyone in the area. If they were closer distance wise they would be my regular mechanic from now on.

Cannot say enough good things about Garrett Automotive in Cartersville. They are always so quick to get my truck back to me because they know I need it for work. Love it when they are a day ahead of their prediction.

I have a 2009 Buick Enclave and it was having an issue with sputtering and bucking when going up a hill when I was driving 55 to 60 miles an hour. I have had this vehicle for over five years and I have had this issue two times before. Each time is was a bad coil, the first time it happened it was coil #1 that was the culprit and the second time was coil #5. I took it to Garrett's and explained to them that I've had this issue twice before, showed them the paperwork from the repairs that were done before, and told them to check the coils. They called me back the next day and said it was a broken motor mount that was causing my issue and that there was nothing wrong with the electrical system. They replaced the motor mount which cost over $300 and when I took the Enclave out on the road, it started sputtering and bucking on hills. I then took the vehicle to Matthew's Garage and they found bad coils. They replaced the coils and the Enclave is running like new now. I would not recommend taking your vehicle here because they do not listen to the customer. I told them what was wrong with it when i took it and they acted like they didn't really want to hear what I was telling them. They completely ignored the fact that I've had this same issue two times before.

I came here after being taken advantage of somewhere else. I walked in upset and the gal at the front counter was kind the understanding. The mechanic stopped what he was was doing and pulled my car in right away (I did not have appt.) The car was assessed properly and quickly. The work was completed within a workday. I received a recommendation to bring my car here for repair. I was impressed with the speed of diagnosis, the excellent communication, the honest assessment (I told them what I thought, for sure, was wrong and they reported back something completely different and hundreds of dollars less), and the speed of repair. I won't hesitate to bring my car here again in the future or to recommend them to others.

These guys are the absolute best. The front staff is as friendly as can be and the mechanics always look out for the customer. I called this morning to get my wife an appt for an oil change and decided to ask about a stripped bolt in the front brake caliper last time I changed the brakes. Not only did they take a look at it for me, they also went ahead and fixed the problem. This business goes above and beyond for the customer and they will continue to be my go-to for any car related troubles I have.

Outstanding work preformed on my Ford F-250. They know diesels. Friendly staff, honest, dependable, they stand behind their work. I highly recommend Garrett Automotive.

We broke down and thought our transmission was fried. A friendly stranger recommended Garrett's shop a few blocks away, so we towed our car to them. As soon as our car was off the tow truck the mechanics started taking a look at it and immediately identified the issue. Our transmission was saved, and everything was taken care of quickly. The owners are very friendly and made sure to make themselves available if we had any questions. We're new in town, and we're glad to have found a reliable and honest shop!

My insurance company paid Garrett over 12 thousand dollars to fix my f350. It was never the same. A year later it is a total loss and Garrett would not stand behind the work. RUN from this company. I have had several people who since reviewed the truck and the case tell me to sue. Truck went exactly 15000 miles after all that work and I am having to pay off the $8,000 balance because Insurance can no longer cover it. It is sitting on my farm doing nothing while I pay down $500 a month. He told Allstate he would stand behind it for life and then he wouldn't even stand behind it for a year. I think he's a crook

After he founding out I was a Veteran, gave me a great price and no charge for rotating my tires!

While vacationing in Georgia, we hit something that bent our RV's retractable steps into a tangled mess. Road Side assistance wanted to tow the entire motor home to an RV repair center but we simply tied it up as best we could and found a local garage that was able to remove it for us.

We found Garrett Automotive in Cartersville and stopped to see if they could help us. Nice, nice, nice and very helpful. They could not repair the wrecked stairs of course (I'm sure replacing them will be the only option), but they were able to remove it for us and took time out immediately to help us get back on the road. They didn't even charge us a dime for their trouble.

This is the kind of garage and mechanics everyone wishes they had in their home town and I hope this review brings them all the business they deserve.

Went here for my 1985 s10 and I will say this mechanic shop is willing to go that extra mile for their customers. Cool staff, fast/high quality work, and great prices Chris is the man to see! Great Service! Our car broke down north of Atlanta while on a long trip to Cartersville. Desperate to find a good honest mechanic away from home we saw Garrett s many reviews with a 4.9 star rating. That rating is well deserved! We had the car towed there. They quickly diagnosed the problem and we had our car back in a day.

Wonderful shop. Just as good as all the reviews say! Very kind staff and no pressure environment.

Had a bad wheel bearings on two different vehicles and needed a float put in one because the gas gauge quit working. They were very helpful did an awesome job and had my car in and out within an hour. The truck they had to keep for the day but I had it back by 3 that afternoon. The only shop i've ever delt with that kept their word about how long it would take and didn't try to tack on extras after the work was done. When they found problems while fixing my truck they called me to let me know what they found and ask if I wanted them to go ahead and fix it or wait till another time. And they didn't try to scare me into thinking it was something that had to be done now. All in all a great experience. Next best thing to having my dad fix it for me. ( Because you know a girls daddy is going to do it right.)

I had removed the wheel hub from the van. All I needed was them to press out the outer race of the bearing and press in the new bearing. They quoted me 45 to 90 dollars. I am from Florida, the machine shops I am used to dealing with would have charged me around 15 maybe 20 dollars. CRAZY seems all the auto places up here are here to rip you off!!!!!!!! even if you bring them the part, do all the labor, they still want to charge you a days wage. What a scam!

When I first moved to Cartersville and was looking for a mechanic, a friend who raced cars, mentioned that Garret's was the only shop that he would let touch his cars. That was all I needed to hear. Our decade relationship with Garrett's has proven that advice as my trusted source for auto advice and repairs.

Paid over 100 dollars to have my car looked over bc of a strange sound coming from engine bay. The "mechanic" informed me it was my power steering pump. So i spent the next day replacing said power steering pump. Only problem was that once i was finished the sound was still there. The very next day on my way to work i found what that spund truly was, my timing belt tensioner. Due to Garrett automotives lack of knowledge, my motor blew up. It could have been saved if the "mechanic" would have diagnosed it correctly. SO THANKS GARRETT AUTOMOTIVE!

Really good courteous service and fairly priced repairs. They always take the time to explain things clearly and I have found them to be very good listeners when I have questions to ask. We have been going there for the best part of 10 years now and I have never felt the need to try anywhere else for car repair.

Chris was great - I called this morning with a "check engine light" that was related either to transmission issues or the spark plugs. Chris was able to see me immediately, took the car for a quick spin around the block, then ran diagnostics on my 2010 VW CC Sport. He let me know it was an issue with the spark plug on cylinder #2 and was able to replace all of the spark plugs for a full tune up in less than an hour.

Chris is knowledgeable, professional and very considerate. I'd highly recommend Garrett Automotive (Chris runs the location in Cartersville)!

We couldn't get in for a last minute oil change, but he topped off the coolant for no charge. Definitely helped out my mom. My husband's car only took a few hours, but they had honest review and didn't try to fix and charge everything. They told us what was actually wrong, and it was totally fair. Awesome service!
