It was pretty bad. I got chicken fried stake with macaroni and fries. The macaroni wasnt hardly cooked and was pretty awful. Chicken fried stake was decent. Either way I wouldn't recommended this at most mediocre restaurant to anyone.
American food at least. We went for a graduation dinner. Service was fine, but food bland, tasteless and expensive.

Overpriced and slow. This place has really gone downhill. I used to love to come here for lunch. However, my fiance and I met there today were terribly disappointed. They no longer have chips and salsa as an appetizer option, only queso. They no longer serve baked potatoes. Their lunch specials only save you about $1 and you receive half as much food. I ordered the tuna salad sandwich and fries. The tomatoes were under-ripe, the lettuce was wilted, and the fries looked and tasted like something you would get at a fast food place. My fiance ordered the Santa Fe Chicken sandwich and found it to be not seasoned except with salt. The pickle spears were also not fresh. The food wasn't terrible, but I expect something slightly higher quality and less generic than fast food if I am paying $10+ per lunch entree plus tipping a server. The service was also very slow - we were both late getting back to work despite an hour lunch break, working nearby, and leaving as soon as we paid the check.
This has been a favorite of mine since I was a little girl, and it continues to be a favorite today. This Lubbock landmark is a "must visit" if you're new to the area!
This is a must visit! The atmosphere is like nowhere else. I've never had a bad meal of dessert here. My favorite is the three cheese grilled cheese with bacon and a homemade tomato soup.
One of the worst restaurants in Lubbock. Good service, horrible food. Only stays open because of the prime location on Broadway. Food looks NOTHING like the images on the menu or website. Fried catfish was just a stick of breading. Sirloin was like the bottom of a shoe. Chips are heavy and greasy. I have eaten there many times because the girlfriend likes it; this was the last time I will suffer through a meal there.
