Garden City Family YMCA Review

Stacy and the team at Garden City, KS YMCA is the BEST group of "racquetball family" I've ever experienced. Dec 2020 Turkey shootout was the first time I attended this event. I was blown away by the personal, intimate, customer service, food, hospitality, comradery. If you have never been to this event, I would HIGHLY encourage you to come and invite all of your fellow players to come as well. GREAT job, Stacy. CO Springs, CO will be representing your next event as the most players from any state!!!

I wish I could love it more, always seems disorganized. Aquatic staff seems disengaged or unaware of posted rules. Have observed a lifeguard cringing as a child blatantly disobeys slide rules but does not blow whistle or engage with child. Facility seems to have issues maintaining basics like fixing sink leaks. I realize that it is not for profit but maybe taking care of what you have might take priority over building a new facility.

Not trying to hate on this place but it is a very dated facility. The front desk staff was very friendly, but beyond that it was a poor experience. The facility had a strong odor of sewer gas??? in the main corridor, men's locker room was very dirty, fitness room smelled like dirty feet and the equipment needed sanitized. The water fountain outside the cardio room was out of service and the one that was working looked like it hadn't been cleaned in quite some time. I was visiting from out of town and did notice there was a ton of youth in the facility and that's what it's all about. I hope this community can get behind the YMCA and provide a better experience in the future.

Crowded and cramped, poor lay out. Variety of sports, basketball/pool/racquetball onsite.

I am really disappointed in how the Y is running the kids activities this year. Being late in scheduleing the teams and games and also the way they have even out the teams to make it fair to the kids and coaches.

There is a lot for every age group to do. I wish they had a better way to let patrons know what it's open and available, it is difficult to find a staff to help unless you are at the front counter.

Haven't been to the Garden City YMCA since I was a child, but I recently enrolled my child in a sport through the YMCA, and I am really regretting it. There is poor organization and lack of communication by the people involved in coordinating these things!!

Been coming here for years and it's a really friendly place you can get a workout in play basketball or go swimming there is something here for everyone

Affordable and great benefits with a membership. Lots of options for being healthy- weights, machines, 2 pools, spacious locker rooms both mens and womens each have wet and dry saunas and a hot tub. So many options of classes to choose from some included free with membership others with a small registration fee. Equipment available to checkout and gyms and rooms along with mats to use for athletics. Childcare available as well and much more! Check it out!

I love the Garden City YMCA! I always come here to play basketball, but sometimes I will left weights with my girlfriend. We always feel welcome and safe here.

This facility offers many different services such as an indoor pool raquetball courts, gymnasium. I'm a gym rat, so that's really the same only thing that I'm interested in. The weight room is fairly well equipped, but it is very cramped for space and much of the equipment is worn and needs badly updated.

It has all the instruments to have a healthy and active life and the most important thing that you can integrate to your whole family since you have all kinds of classes and recreations

24/7 facility. Can't get in w/out a scan card, they have disinfectant spray everywhere, there is a kids gym, a bike room, 2 swimming pools(1 lap/1 with slide. I've attended at all hours and traffic is low and divided throughout the day.

The Y is like family, on a larger scale . they're all looking out for each other.
