The Garage upset me, did not expect that in fact there would be only one operating exhibition by Murakami. Why then such an area? Keep packaging work Murakami, making the premises as technical.))
Entrance was 500 rubles, only for lovers of such art.

Garage develop and be the best, not just be.

There weren't many exhibits for the size, but the restaurants and other services that are located in the park and inside looked good. I think it would be nice to see a modern exhibition like this when it becomes boring to see only the classics.

Very cool modern space. Lots of air and light. Minimalism in the interior is especially attractive to me. Plenty of room for creativity. Inspired, joyful people around. It's nice to just be here.

It is unambiguously difficult to say about this museum. In it there is a certain amount of unusual, special, however, the effect of "wow" has not been put out. As a general development visit the museum is worth, you may be luckier and the presented exhibitions will be more interesting

My huge advice to everyone - to avoid disappointment when visiting Garage exhibitions, take a guide or at least an audio guide! Modern art is not always obvious and often needs very much to decipher and explain.
With the accompaniment, everything starts to play with new colors, it is checked already at several exhibitions.
And for parents - on weekdays here you can order an absolutely free excursion for groups of schoolchildren for current exhibitions. We went with the class - everyone liked it very much,
thanks Garage!

A large exhibition space, young people work, the dynamics are felt from this. There is a cafe, gift shop. There were Murakami at the exhibition; there was not enough space in the wardrobe, there was a long line, everyone was waiting for the seats to be vacated. Maybe in such a restriction it makes sense - people do not crowd in the halls, but I don t know how the number of people is regulated in the summer in this case.

Like Erarta in Saint Pete, Garage is rather a playground for nowadays' Muscovite nouveux riches than a museum. A total show off place for the local oligarchs enjoying a a pause at the well decorated cafe or restaurant. Arrogant security More

We were with my friend here in early February, at the exhibition of contemporary art and at the exhibition of the Soviet underground.
I will not say that contemporary art did not like me and my girlfriend at all, because everyone has their own views (I attach the most appropriate photo of the paintings), I did not like the fact that the captions to the paintings are not under them, but somewhere below in the corner and it s not always clear which signature to which picture, you have to play a guessing game. Also with the exhibits at the exhibition of the Soviet underground, there are no signatures under many and it is unclear, for example, what kind of cubes are in front of you and why they were (photo attached) it was also rather cool in the room, many of the hall employees were in jackets or vests, Yes, and we ourselves went in places shrunk from the cold. Well, what are you kidding about people? In general, the exhibition received average impressions, although a few years ago, my friend went here to the exhibition of paintings by Takashi Murakami and was completely delighted, they still had several paintings there. Maybe other exhibitions will be more successful.

This is a stunning, modern museum.

This is a stunning, modern museum.
This museum really surprises with its transformations. What is not an exhibition is like a completely different space. Every time for the first time.

You can safely spend 1-2 hours in the museum, so plan and set aside time in advance.

I did not like. Firstly, 500 rubles are asked to enter, which is no less than in the Tretyakov Gallery, which holds dozens of times more exhibits that are world-renowned art.
Secondly, the exposition of the entire museum with its rather large area can be viewed in 10-20 minutes
Thirdly, all employees of the museum are felt as some kind of overseers, because in the museum it is not even possible to DRINK WATER FROM OWN BOTTLE. Exhibits that involve interaction with them DO NOT TOUCH. I have not seen such protection even in the Tretyakov Gallery, although it would seem.
At the same time, as a cultural space for modern "deep" personalities and various SJW contingents, it is not bad. Nice, there is where to communicate. In general, this is no longer a museum, but just a place for parties. I strongly discourage him if you have brains in your head.

As an exhibition center - not bad at all. The main thing is to choose the right subjects for the exhibition so that it is not boring. At the entrance, strict control of the contents of the bags. The building is equipped with a cafe, wardrobe, toilets.

Great museum! Only those photos that are old here ... You need to make new ones
It is interesting every time to come to lectures, presentations, exhibitions, and other events ... The garage actually was transformed over the past few years in the old pavilion there was very little space to accommodate something big ... Now you can place everything that It could be suitable for styling or the theme of exhibitions ... I ll definitely come to the next lecture about the ESCAPE group.

I expected more from the Museum of Contemporary Art in Moscow.
For a long time I wanted to visit, the last visit to the museum was an event and no outsiders were allowed. What is extremely strange for the museum, even if it's private.
There is no own collection, even Russian artists are not represented.
Temporary exhibitions of a good world level.

The building is nice however, I was disapointed as I did not see much; the museum is very poor in terms of collections as I was specting more. This is more like a gallery than a contemporary art museum

A stunning museum of modern art, with relevant and thoughtful expositions. The polite and interested staff will always tell you in detail about the exhibitions, and on the ground floor there is an excellent cafe with delicious cuisine. I would also like to note the book and museum store with nice little things.

If you are under 18, you may not come. Yes, a ticket will cost a hundred square meters, but it is not worth its money either. You will see 1/5 of the exhibition, and then they will tell you: you can't come here, here are pictures of naked men. (Yeah, don't look at David until 18) And this 1/5 is about nothing. The Museum of Contemporary Art is better off. Better go to the New Tretyakov Gallery

There are more security guards and staff than visitors. Could not grasp the fringe between art and nonsense.. I guess the boundaries are blurred nowadays... Knowing that for the same price you can visit Pushkinskii or Tretyakovskaya gallery the choice should be obvious..

A nice small museum, which surprisingly has one of the best affordable places to eat in Moscow. The restaurant is quite good up to Boston standards for about $30 per person. They don't have a full bar, but offer beer and very nice lemonades.

I just give it 4 stars for the building design of the museum..
However, I am not sure about the items inside was that interesting.
I suggest that they should put more valuable items, of course that's goes with the general theme!
Which means, what's inside should be reflected by the amazing architecture of the outside building...
And I love it's location, the park itself is amazing, the greens, flowers, trees...
