Oakhurst. Gandy did poor construction on the condos at Oakhurst to start with and had to do several repairs to the building including fixing the foundation issues and a huge crack in the wall because the foundation was not built right, but beyond that they are screwing residents of the Condos at Oakhurst once more by there stupid sign they have up.
There is a piece of land that is not big enough to put a condo building up on and they are not really planning to, but they had to do something with the land for some reason, probably to keep a construction loan going or something. They are not really planning on building another building there is the point. They are claiming they are putting studio units in which would be devastating to the condos because the sign says $90,000!!!~ Are you freaking kidding me?
We are trying to sell out Unit that is worth more than having a comparable of $90,000 next door for a brand new studio. Studio units do not belong in Oakhurst! We are a town home at 3 bedroom and a condo at 2 bedroom. The rental ratio is low right now. The Studio units do not belong, but it is fake anyway so I doubt they are building them, but for those of us having a unit to sell it does not look good for potential buyers.
This is not a rental community and if it becomes that way, we will lose eligibility for people to finance certain ways in the future when buying our units. We have two condos that are both residences at the Terraces at Oakhurst.
One of them we are selling, so when people see our unit and then go to pull out of the neighborhood and see a sign for brand new units at $90,000!!!!! 20 grand under the price of the condos. People showing our condo have no way of knowing when they see that sign that they are studios and they don't really like the idea of another building being right there. Even though it is a FAKE construction site!!!
Way to screw people that bought property from you, but Gandy does not exactly have a reputation for caring about what they are doing to their communities after they are sold!! I would not recommend buying anything from this company. That is really a slap in the face putting that sign up in Oakhurst and it needs to come down like yesterday. People are outraged!!! They have been asked to take it down several times and the city of Cornelius won't make them take it down. Jerks.
I would not move into any other community by Gandy. The Gandy Family could care less what they are doing to us over here at the Terraces with their awful sign. Gandy not a good company for putting the 90,000 sign up next to our condos that should be in the 120's. Hateful company and awful family!! They don't care about who they are screwing over!
