Great variety of games and puzzles. A little more expensive than what you can buy online, but it mostly evens out when you consider the cost and wait times of shipping in Australia and the advantages of being able to see the products up close before buying.

The Games Capital has been a long standing fixture in Canberra's board and card gaming scene. For those new to tabletop games, the entry of the store is a well curated section of children's and family games, as well as games with friends or for a party.

An excellent place for pretty much anyone who does any sort of table top gaming. The upstairs has a large number of tables for playing, an impressive selection of paint and brushes, detailed miniatures, and other RPG supplies.

This store is double the price of games stores. Go to others. I witnessed them banning a young kid from their store which is a reflection of their business attitude of focusing on just being a money.

Positives: Good range of boardgames, card games, puzzles, dice, sleeves, etc etc. Staff have massively improved in the past few years. I now find them to very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Well done.
Negatives: Prices are very steep now though, a couple of their biggest local competitors shut down and they have deffinitely cashed in on that.
Ideally I'd give 3.5 stars if I could, but I'll boost to 4 (high rent is also probably a large part of the prices, it's likely more reasonably priced than I realise).

This place is a paradise for board gamers. The staff here are truly phenomenal with their recommendations for both new and old gamers. They also remember repeat customers and are awesome at recommending things based on your previous purchases/chats you've had. It's really impressive to see their passion for what they do, and their genuine interest in helping people enjoy gaming as much as they do.

There are three floors to Games Capital. The bottom floor has board games that vary in age range and difficulty, puzzles and chess sets. The second floor has more board games, and also outside games like Skittles, Bocce, Finska etc.
The third floor is their figurines and collectable cards, and also has tables set up for their board game events nights.

I highly recommend giving Games Capital a visit next time you're in the city!

Great games shop in the heart of Canberra CBD. Huge variety of games downstairs. The staff are knowledgeable and very friendly.
Upstairs includes a games library to try out some games or just pass the time, a whole lot of trading card games, and lots of paints for minature painting. If you're in the city, this is worth a visit!

This company is by far the best company I've ever dealt with for online shopping ever. There logistics are beyond compare, and there price is often lower than their direct competitors, and when it isn't, I'd suggest you still go with them.

Although anecdotal, I am currently still waiting, with 4 months on, for a package from Game Paradise, which, has it's warehouse in the very suburb I live. I received my order from Games Capital, from another state, in 3 days.

Do yourself a favour and choose this company regardless of your state and save yourself the worry.

Great range and super helpful advice and suggestions. I've always been able to find what I'm looking for or an alternative that I didn't know existed. A bit more expensive than buying online or elsewhere but staff knowledge and enthusiasm make it more than worth ir

Call before going in store, frequently the website lists items in stock when they don't have. Also a difference in pricing between the website and in-store to be aware of.
Other than that staff are friendly and helpful.

I find most games stores claustrophobic or cluttered but this shop is so well laid out. Games are sorted by genre or audience so it is easy to browse and find what you're after. I could have spent ages in here learning about all the games I've never heard of! Massive puzzle selection and a great kids selection, staff are happy to help as well.

Terrible games shop staffed by disrespectful offensive and nasty staff. I went in there seeking a demo of a game and was told I could get that on youtube. Don't go there they are rude and their prices are among the highest in the country.

Great store. Lots of product. However sells pokemon cards for above rrp. So not the best place to get deals

Edit reply: talking about build and battle boxes. Which you are selling for $60 when rrp is $40
