Marriott has a history and is still very elegant for me. Very fast check in from receptionist Khaled. Knowing that I attended early 12:00, the room is spacious and clean. Breakfast is plain and the garden is wonderful.

I had the good fortune to stay here for one night only in August 19. It was so so nice! Absolutely fabulous location along the Nile. The hotel is an old palace with additional wings for rooms added on. The original hotel is fantastic! The staff went above and beyond to satisfy. The breakfast buffet was very filling and had a large array of options. Highly recommend. The pool is great and FYI- if you want a cocktail you better be thirsty - liquor drinks come in 1.5L options only except for frozen ones. Nice if you re not solo. I was so it was too much for me !
a word of advise ... when doing the booking look for a site that include all in. Right now there is a service charge 12% + VAT 14% + City Tax 1% + room charge supplement if you wanna change from road to garden view from e booking price. For the price paid, its disapointing that extra charges are needed for a change in room. Not sure whether the rest of egypt charge the same. On the bright side, Marriott people skills are absolutely the best. No other 5* hotels comes near them.
Nice place the garden act like playground for arabs to pickup women in summer times
A renovation is really overdue for this hotel. It looks very old and abandoned. The room was big but didn't feel really clean. The bed was very hard and despite using the vanity kit on my first day they never replaced it for the next 2 nights.
Check in took me a good 20 mins at midnight and on top of all I saw people smoking indoors in the common areas without any of the stuff saying anything.

One of my favourite Nile looking Hotels in Cairo. Location is unparalleled and service is a true five star. The meeting venue called the View lives up to its reputation and provides exceptional views of landmarks along the nile. This hotel service has been consistent for the last 30 years and is a must visit for history enthusiasts.
Do not need to recommend it is known for its excellent hospitality, excellent service and distinctive food.

I would give it 5 stars but smoking is allowed throughput the hotel even in non-smoking areas. I complained to the staff once and they responded there was not much they could do as smokers were their guests as well. Other than a persistent smoking problem everything else was excellent and the executive lounge has great views.
I truly enjoyed my room facing the Nile River. The room was well placed. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. There room was ample and large. The bathroom had a tub and had everything needed. It was clean and the housekeeping staff were highly professional. The amenities in the hotel were great. The lobby seemed a little tight and crowded most of the time, but it looked very romantic and subdued. The food was very tastefully cooked. The outside courtyard of the hotel was also a beautiful place to sit and dine and have drinks. There are several places one can walk to safely and have pizza or coffee or even shop. A very nice location. I would stay here again and highly recommend it.

The stay in the hotel was extended because of the comfort that was provided to me by the hotel staff and the role I live in was very nice and friendly and the guest feels that he is actually in his home .... especially Mr. Abdel Azim Mustafa.
