As with any company, Terumo has it's good and bad ...

As with any company, Terumo has it's good and bad points. I've worked there for 3 and a half years as an assembler and now a warehouse material handler, and I've found the experience to be mostly rewarding overall. The pay is pretty decent for entry level assembly work, the benefits are excellent (including tuition assistance for college), and there are frequent opportunities for advancement within the company. Most of the employees are friendly, good natured, and come from very diverse backgrounds. We build apheresis machines and disposables, and knowing that what we do helps save lives really is an awesome feeling.

Now for the rough spots. The downsides with Terumo are similar to those that you'd find at any corporation, and I've worked at quite a few. Yes, favoritism exists. Its unavoidable and almost impossible to keep from happening. If you dont make yourself stand out from the crowd in a way that management or leadership appreciates you'll most likely get overlooked for promotions, regardless of your qualifications. I've watched some very undeserving folks advance ahead of those who would have been much better choices for the position. Its unavoidable in a corporate atmosphere; inter-company politics matter. Then you have your lazy employees, which are more numerous than I'd hope, but once again its unavoidable, and common in any workplace. Someone will drop the ball, and the other employees will have to pick up the slack, at times to the severe detriment of our normal job duties. It would be nice to see more accountability from management. There are a few other quibbles I have, but it would be nitpicking.

Overall, I enjoy my job at Terumo. It's rewarding, challenging, and sometimes downright fun. Frustrations with the company are inevitable, but compared to most of the others I've worked at (Walmart, Conoco etc...), Terumo is far better and far more satisfying. And let's be honest, attitude is everything when it comes to how a job feels. I intend to stay with this company for as long as I can, and would honestly recommend people to work here.

Their hiring process is very unprofessional. I had an interview that went great, got offered the position through a phone call and email. Told me all the great benefits, PTO, ...etc. I was given a start date that same day over the phone. Told them I would give my current employer my 2 week notice. The next email I receive is from A-Check for my UA and Background check. After I accepted Terumo's offer for the position I gave the info they needed and continued with the UA and Background process. Well I get a phone call the next week from a lady named Nicole Herrera (unprofessional herself) giving me a different start date because my background check is still being looked at. Mind u, this is my last week with my current employer. A day later she calls me to tell me they found something In my background and "unfortunately (her favorite word) they cannot hire me" .. THANKFULLY I was able to keep my job with my current employer. But WOW..if they didn't accept me back, I would've been completely unemployed!! Their hiring process is so backward and unprofessional. My advice..dont give a 2 week notice until you know for sure this company wants you. Complete disappointment!

Went for interview, interview was ok, nothing hard, and then never heard back from the team or HR. Even if I did not fit the company/team, please do tell let your interviewee know. I contacted 3 times and they did not have a decision. I had to sacrifice 4 hours of my PTO to go to the interview to get nothing out of it. That is a lot of time spent for no results considering I get around 2 weeks of PTO per year. I am definitely not applying back or going to recommend any developer applying here.

This is worst company to work in software division since I worked in this Software division. Software managers / team are very bad whom I have interacted and they do not know basic ethics/values. They will do always politics and make to try others are bad by doing silly politics. I worked as a contractor in this company as a embedded software consultant. I was feel very bad and they don't have proper plan. Finally, they will blame others even though the problem with themselves.....I worked very hard and delivered all assigned work to me. They made politics and moved me out from the project with out giving any explanation or discussions.....This is very bad management company and I just come out from there with out any rising question since I was feel bad many times.... You better to think twice to thrice before joining this company in software division

I once thought this was a great place until I had a family crisis. They did not understand or try to understand. I worked there for 6 years and always did everything that was asked if me. Once my family crisis struck I was having a hard time focusing. I had a meeting with upper management and they pretended to care and offer help. I never got the help as soon as a manager got back from vacation got back my precious plan with the other managers was thrown out the window and I was ultimately let go. There are some great people here but management can take some lessons on how to treat people

Trainers in Trima Flow 1 and flow 2 are extremely biased. they are hostile to new employees and old ones who have no connection in the company. Most employees are related. The company employees dad, son , aunt wife and husband and so its very unprofessional to hire relatives. Those who do not have relatives in positions are treated harshly. Equipment supervisor and trainers also are very hostile. You built a machine and confirm all parts but the following morning , the early shift open and tamper with the machine and wait to fix the people who worked in second shift. Equipment supervisor is very unethical and yells at people when mad. He yelled at me and seems friendly to people of different origin. It is chaos in this company. HR accepts any report from supervisors without confirming if it is true. Assemblers or Equipment techs are easily screwed as trainers and leaders can collude with supervisors to victimize an employee if the y fear you are a threat and mostly if they see you getting promotion. Do not work with this company from lower positions as there is no privacy and the moment the leaders and trainers understand your academic background they start fighting you by fixing you by bullying and accusing you false. Lower calibre employees's voice is hardly heard. A trainer , leaders and supervisors can fix to HR and one gets fired without hearing the lower employee's version of the story.

Just like the other reviewer. I went for an interview and the whole process was just dumb. It was a 3 hours interview and it was a waste of time. One of the questions the manager asked me was if I was ok working overtime? and said sure! as long as I get paid for that overtime. I didn't get job lol and I didn't get notified about anything. All the employees looked like they didn't want to be there. I don't think I missed much.
