Location is top notch for the Salthill Promenade. It s within walking (or easily bused!) distance of Galway proper. The breakfast manager is absolutely fabulous and really made our stay there great. Front desk staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. Would recommend.

Very Friendly. Room was across the corridor from the swimming pool entrance, very handy but it was above the power house electrics which made a humming noise at time but staff were very accommodating.

We had an initial problem with our allocated room. (Strong smell of cigarette smoke) When this was brought to the attention of management they immediately offered us a different room which was wonderful. The service of everyone in the hotel was perfect as was the food in the restaurant. A really delightful holiday thanks to the welcome and genuine consideration of ALL the staff. They had robust measures in place to protect everyone from the coronavirus which reassured us. Sorry at having to leave but look forward to a future stay.

Recently attended a Christmas party in this hotel. Had a great time! I found the staff to be particularly friendly. Had a great conversation with two mannerly young gentlemen David and Rian. Would definitely recommend to my friends. Thanks for a great time!

Booked the Atlantic view suite. Had our own dining/sitting room overlooking the bay. Wine that came with the room was good, food was good, view is awesome. The only reason this is not a 5 is because that suite is sitting on top of the bar (siite on floor 1, bar directly under) with music til 2am that can be heard in bed.

A lukewarm welcome from the reception staff left us feeling like they couldn't care less about our stay experience. When we reported that there was no water from the hot tap it took two days and a second complaint to have it repaired. The restaurant staff were very pleasant and the breakfast was ok. The furniture was dated and a bit shabby but overall the rooms were well serviced by efficient and pleasant staff.

We were here for 4 nights and we would wait 40 mins a time for drinks if they didn't forget to bring them to us which happened a fair bit too. Ordered chicken wings which were stone cold also. Would also leave out towels to he changed and they would never bother giving us new ones!

Very friendly. Very clean. Very professional staff. The location is gorgeous on the bay. But it's made better by how nice and friendly the staff and the town's people are. Made my first trip so enjoyable I know I will be coming back.

What a wonderful stay. Everything you would expect from a nice hotel. Clean rooms, good breakfast, and friendly staff. A few of our favorite parts were the pub within the hotel, the awesome views, and the cleanliness of the hotel. We will definitely be back when it's a bit warmer.

We really enjoyed our stay in the Galway bay hotel. The food was excellent and staff extremely professional.
We did have an issue with our room on the first night due to noise level over the bar but we were offered another quiet room the next morning.
Overall a very satisfactory stay and we would definitely recommend a Xmas stay here

The reception at check-in was more than faulty. It requires fluent English (I speak very good English, but I am not a native speaker) and fine muffled. The room was on the side of a fair, was extremely warm and poorly ventilated and disproportionately loud until well into the night.
The restaurant is old fashioned and totally overcrowded. The staff there friendly, but - at least in the morning - not very capable. Instead of brown toast always comes white toast, the tea comes in coffee pots, with coffee smelling and brown colored water ....
The dinner in the restaurant must be ordered days in advance, if you want to book a reasonable time - 19-20 clock.
All in all - the great review might be for the kids club, not for the whole hotel / food.

If you value sleep or hygiene, do NOT stay here. They played loud music from 9 pm to 2 AM every single night and refused to turn it down. This was audible from a room with closed curtains and windows... on the upper floor on the other side of a hotel... and prevented the entire party from sleeping at all.

Moreover, the cleaning staff did not take out dirty cups, towels, or trash only performed turndown service. At the breakfast buffet, half the dishes were caked in food and were not usable.

Needs to consider if this is a pub or a hotel. Never staying here again.
