Fantastic location.
Fantastic location.
Bad bar food. Bad prices as well.

Bad bar food. Bad prices as well.
The room was spacious but dark and dated, there was only one very small window. The extractor fan in the bathroom did not work and it was like organizing a trip to the moon to get a solution. Would not go back very disappointing for the price. Food good but nothing to rave about.
Super location. Clean. Great service overall bar one evening meal we had really bad service. Overall a great family hotel
Fantastic place to stay in the area. From the receptionists to the bartenders in the lounge...best service around. The rooms are clean and location is wonderful.
Fabulous hotel, but it took ages to get food in the bar, 45 minutes waiting for main course and another 20 minutes for dessert, apart from that the hotel is lovely, bathroom in hotel room could do with some hooks to hang clothes when taking a shower.
Very nice hight quality hotel staff very friendly always helpful food great hotel is located to very close to the beach
Not too bad. The furnitures were old and we didn t have any fridge or shower cap in the room. They didn t have hot water jacuzzi.
May 16th my Husband and I checked into Galway Bay Hotel at 3 minutes to 9 PM for 4 nights
thinking we were to late for a meal, but we were greeted by a very cheery girl at reception name we later learned Catherin, said don't worry I will phone through and make sure you get hot meal, and true to her word it was sorted and our luggage was taken to our room while we dined,We were there for the wedding on Friday 18th ,and no day were we disappointed from greeting at breakfast to bar at night the staff were outstanding,The wedding day was wonderful manager and staff were wonderful plenty of food and served promptly Thank you,The bedroom was lovely sea view and again cleaned and made up to hight standard,So once again we say Thank you to all the staff at the Galway Bay Hotel and one day we may return for a mini break.
A bit pricey and disappointing for a 4 star hotel. Leisure centre is quite basic, big queues for breakfast and not a huge choice for dietary requirements (gluten free, vegetarian etc.) Otherwise, the staff are very friendly and helpful, and the rooms are spacious and clean. Location is good for the view over the bay. 10 minute car ride into the city centre.
Great location, Good food . Not a fan of the construction site under the window . All else was ok
Great place to stay clean .Lovely efficient staff will go back.
Hotel has improved a lot. Dining area very nice, comfortable rooms..Nice stay.
Lovely hotel very friendly staff felt very safe there would definitely recommend it will go back again
Not buggy friendly with steps everywhere but there is a lift to side of reception
Was there for family wedding, service was so so slow and when it was some of the more experienced staff were almost rude and served hot soup across small children
Staff not friendly but reasonable efficient
We asked on the Sunday night to turn up the television to hear the Sunday game and were told that hotel police dictated the background music must be higher than volume on television only 8 of us and three others who stood under telly to try and hear it
Overrated and overpriced in my opinion but maybe others will get better service
Polite staff,helpful and friendly.
Very clean hotel. Immaculate poool area. And awalible for 12 hours.
Superb brecfast bufet.
Generic and plan. Rooms were plain. Needs an update
Great location and friendly staff and very good food
We stayed with 2 children. Friendly staff, one bulb gone in room, but well dealt with. Very pleased with our stay.
Wonderful front desk staff! Very friendly and knowledgeable. Our room was overlooking the courtyard and had a partial ocean view from one of the side rooms (pictures below). The furniture was a bit old and worn, but everything worked correctly and the room was very clean. Handy for the Salthill neighborhood and beach area and not too far from downtown Galway. (30 min walk or 10 min drive depending on how busy it is.)
Fabulous hotel, friendly staff, good delicious and good choice. Very clean.
Lovely hotel and lovely town. Can t wait to return soon!
Fantastic food and very professional. Only let down was having to call 4 times and wait an hour for a new iron. Otherwise very muxh recommended.
We stayed in Galway Bay Hotel in September and had a great time. Food was excellent and all the staff were just fantastic. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. We will definitely be back there again.
Fantastic location. Excellent Staff. Great food. Best night porter in Galway.
Good hotel with many British and Irish guests. Quality right price
The hotel has a spectacular view on the ocean but the level of the service is rather low for a 4* hotel. Our room wasn t cleaned till 5:00 pm and we had to remind it. Once they cleaned it it wasn t done properly. The floor of the bathroom was still dirty. The bed is uncomfortable and we had back pain for the two days. The staff is very nice and gentle however and ready to help. The price is that of a 4* but the quality is equivalent to a 3*.
Great location on the seafront in Salthill, helpful friendly staff
Non existent waiting service. Young staff seemed ill trained and inexperienced.
Food not great. Beds not very comfortable. Breakfast got mold white bread. Paid for a upgrade with sea views. Could only see if we layed on the bed. On check out our bill had double in price. Stayed 2 nights. Won't be staying ever again.
Nice clean hotel with friendly staff and in a wonderful location, the only downside is, it is very expensive. To stay in and to buy lunch/dinner in compared to other hotels in Galway but I guess its location is the justification for that. However, overall a lovely hotel and I'd highly recommend to all.
Go to Galway Bay at least three times a week, with friends for our morning coffee. Excellent service from Emma always a smile and a warm welcome,
This Hotel is gorgeous when you arrive in at the reception you know straight away you are going to be happy here, Reception staff so so helpful and pleasant people. Rooms comfortable and spacious but very warm, Swimming pool small but nice enough, Dinner food okay but had to change a meal as it was cold, but otherwise a great hotel, lovely staff and pleasant people. will definately stay here again :)
Excellent service people working their are top notch well recommended
A BEAUTIFUL PLACE. STAFF VERY EFFICIENT AND FRIENDLY.
Great place, very accommodating. Extremely good value.
A beautiful hotel lovely food excellent staff, well worth a visit.
Bar too small for such a big hotel. Way too expensive. The staff where best thing about this hotel.
Nice, stylish hotel. The rooms are big, modern and very clean. The restaurant is good, but falls off the service when a bus company is to supply.
Loved the decor, furnishing and ever so polite staff. Let's not forget the sea view.
Staff were excellent, friendly and very helpful.
Great protocols around Covid 19 from reception , restaurant, bars and bedroom.
Nice rooms, gastronomic offer ok with air up, 20 m to the beach, a lot of traffic on the Uferstrasse; Terrace promising and protected, but zero charm: rummy, old tables and chairs, absolute NoGo for a 4 star beach hotel!
Gem of hotel industry with great show Trad on the Prom running 3 times a week over the summer there,
The kids wanted to treat their mum to a special day out so we went to The Galway Bay hotel. The location was super, right across from the beach..the kids even paddled in the water. My wife , our 3 daughters & I had a lovely afternoon in the spacious new lounge overlooking the sea. We feasted on freshly made sandwiches & delicate desserts all washed down with excellent coffee served by our friendly waiter Sean. The duty manager Carmel could not have been more attentive even though she had a large group in also dining. We felt we were as important as the large gathering . We all agreed we will return as it was a very relaxing & enjoyable day. Thanks to all the staff. See you soon. Donal
I did not stay in the rooms but was there daily for a conference. The chef was amazing. The view is phenomenal and there is a question walking garden tucked away in the left side of it. Be sure to check it out.
Fabulous place to stay. Lovely coastal views. Friendly professional staff. Would highly recommend the hotel
I have won a voucher for a night with complimentary dinner+breakfast. The rooms are designed like early 90's-not nice at all.Reception was a nice place, the restaurant staff weren't friendly enough...To be honest,if I wouldn't win that voucher,I'd regret my money spent for that hotel
The food was good, but menu options were dated. The rooms were serviceable, but not luxurious. Staff was friendly and good location.
Great views and location. Nice hotel for a wedding or just to stay a few days.
Went here before Christmas eve had an amazing experience... the rooms where great clean and modern ... but what made it was the staff at our table absolutely superb. Absolutely enjoyed our stay and would recommend no problem as you will enjoy yours here.
Great wedding here. Food was good and views out on the balcony were great. Will definitely come here again
