The only reason I have given this 4 stars rather than 5 is because the food may be an acquired taste. Unfortunately not all of it was to my liking but it was still great quality and very unique.
We had been given this as a Virgin Experience gift so had a set menu, but I guess we may have chosen differently if it was a la carte.
Service was amazing. All of the staff were very attentive and knowledgeable about the food. They all greeted us as we were led to our table.
The restaurant had a great ambiance
Food was great quality and cooked to perfection.

Amazing atmosphere and divine tasting menu! Every dish is amazing, from the poached langostina in melon soup to the short ribs of beef, passing through a green risotto of magical herbs and ancient wild mushrooms and the unexpected nuances of crab lasagna!

I've eaten here many times, and the food is normally very tasty. But on my most recent visit I was really disappointed by the service, which was slow, impersonal and inattentive. We had to flag down waiters to ask a few times for menus, bread etc. and struggled to catch anyone's attention. We visited for our wedding night dinner (which I'd flagged in advance), which made the less than warm welcome the more disappointing. To be clear no-one was rude, but the service wasn't what I would describe as either warm, welcoming or even very nice. It's not the sort of service you'd expect for the Michelin star or the price tag. Be aware that the vegetarian menu isn't always vegetarian (many dishes have non-vegetarian cheese in them, but explaining that was quite a frustrating experience). There is a vegan menu (my partner is vegetarian). The pigeon tagine and crab lasagne were genuinely delicious. I wasn't going to write a review but they emailed to ask me to, so here you go.

Classic formal dining with faultless service and fantastic food. We opted for the Sunday lunch menu and most certainly did not leave hungry. The complimentary bread and olives were also very tasty.

Every time we eat at Galvin LaChapelle the food is outstanding. This time was no different. We ordered the menu gourmand and each course was delicious. And Franco is just the best. We will be back.

It s been a long time coming but what a treat to return to Galvin s La Chapelle to celebrate the end of the lockdown. To see again so many of the lovely front of house team, to enjoy the wonderful ambience and reacquaint ourselves with the terrific food and drink. The tasting menu has been tweaked to introduce some delicious new dishes confirming that they well deserve their Michelin Star. Today we pushed the boat out but there is plenty of choice and, if you stick to the table d hote menu, you can still have a great meal and benefit from the same great service. We ll be back soon.....

Covid-19 Pandemic (Second Wave) REVIEW

Covid-19 Pandemic (Second Wave) REVIEW

Location was easy to find on the map, it has a nice appearance with garden like design and plants.

Of course they have a dress code, but you are not expected to dress super smart or super rich, receptionists were nice and polite. We were shown to our table when we arrived at 19:00pm, though our booking reservation was at 19:15pm.

Setting was nice, mood was nice, lighting and everything very warm feeling. Table setting was good, nothing cluttering, and the waiter/waitress brings the piece of paper menu to you. (I was expecting a book with leather covering) -___-

The waitress were all so polite and trained to do silver dining. Just to let you all know that this restaurant is for fine dining, so when you notice waitress pouting drinks for you, it is to be expected.

Our menu was under a voucher deal with complementary drink. When they sat us down, they tucked me into my chair, there is only a sofa seating based on certain table you are given.

I got the lobster soup as a starter which was nice but kind of salty. My main was a chicken with sweet corn nut, asparagus I believe so. The waiter would always tell you what the food are whenever they bring the food to you, or when you are given the menu at start.

Complimentary bubble drink was very good. Main dish was nice but not delicious to me. And I loved my apricot cheese cake with chocolate breadcrumb. It was a 3 course meal and I believe the menu we got as specialized just for the voucher we possessed.

Also before your starter, you are given bread with butter, these are unlimited just in case the 4 course does not fill you up. If you have bread crumbs on your table, waiter would dust it off. And I do like the device they use to dust off the breadcrumb, very simple unique and convenient.

Would I recommend this place?
Great waiters and waitress
Nice settings
Clean spaces
Nice fancy food

Average food, packed & noisy dining area and really overpriced.
Nice staff but far from the expectations of a 1 Michelin star restaurant.
London has so many better unknown restaurants that deserve to be visited. Avoid.
