Game Night on Wednesday nights at Gallery5 is super fun. Cash bar and games of all sorts from board games like Scrabble and Chess (local talent is very competitive) to console games like Mario Carts and whatnot. Meet new friends or bring your own. It's a super cool place to hang.

Wow. Such a cute quaint space. I came to see Elvis Depressedly and was impressed. I thought there were too many sound checks and audio guy needed to be fired for not doing these earlier. The sound in the small space was very good quality. So I guess the audio guy has nine lives. It could improve by being more organized then again I agree this is a micro venue so the experience level of a worker might not have followed Aerosmith

Great little venue for local bands. Decent beer list for a place it's size and mixed drinks as well. My only complaint is about the restrooms: there's only two of them and they're unisex so there's always a line. Nothing significant and you shouldn't let that stop you from visiting. Just be aware. They took over a firehouse (which is kinda cool in and of itself) and turned it into what it is today

The venue is an amazing spots for live music. The drinks are plentiful and the people are nice. The upstairs has an Art Exhibit that rotates pretty regularly. The only reason I did not give it 5 Stars was that's the night of my most recent visit, the band was way too loud and not good. They normally do have talented acts.

It's a smaller venue but has a ton of character and a decent beer selection most the time. They also tend to host more obscure artists and performers so keep up with their events. Also, they usually have great art and put on a cool show for first fridays.

Hands down one of Richmond's top 5 venues for diverse, and unique show offerings. The burlesque shows are great, and the biannual outdoor festival setting of the fire performances at the carnival of five fires, and pyro circus make this establishment one of RVA's most important.

This venue is nothing like any other in the city. Local art are constantly showcased each week. Come and enjoy the creative arts while listening to the live band and adult beverages. There's always something fun and new to see every week. Come support the locals

Some of the best alternative and creative shows in Richmond are here. It's great for that. Two stars removed for two seperate occasions not letting me bring tea in. I am struggling to kick alcohol consumption and decaf tea is a good alternative. You don't have to lie to me and tell me tea is against ABC laws, come on buddy... It would be better to just sell me tea or present an alternative rather than a bad excuse, quit your rabble rousing for alcohol sales.

Depending on the event, it can be amazing with a great atmosphere, or very awkward. Everytime I've been, there's been at least two events going on, like an art exhibit and a musical performance that nnever really seem to work well together. Like a clown showing up at a playground unannounced. Yes, they're technically intended for the same demographic... But it's still a little off putting.

Very eclectic space. I was here for the Pyro Circus this year and had an amazing time. There were vendors and artists with booths upstairs and a concert with a full on bar downstairs. I sipped on ginger drinks and danced all night.

I have been coming to Gallery 5 for over 6 years. It is a great little venue that's has multiple uses. While it's focus is music it also host one of the the more prominent local galleries. First Friday at Gallery 5 is one of those Summer things to put on your To Do List.

As Richmond's leading gallery in alternative creativity, Gallery5 carries their mission with tact and an embrace of the community. I am grateful to be able to experience the clever use of an outdated public service facility.

Good art space, but also perhaps more notably an important up and coming music venue in the city with decent sound but a great atmosphere. Just wish it was a little bigger to accommodate more of a crowd comfortably for larger shows, but that's no fault of the venue itself.
