This is the second vehicle we have purchased from Gale Toyota in the last 7 months and Shaun was our saleman both times. After buying our new 2012 Camry, he is the reason we went back to this dealership when looking for a pre-certified Toyota pick-up. He is very knowledgable, personable and he goes out of his way to make sure you are comfortable and satisifed with the sale.

Worst place ever to buy a car ! Sleazy, crreepy sales people ! Not welcoming at all, and are only focused on making their sales happen. Took them (esp. Shawn) forever to get my car registered and for license plates. Hoping they take some steps to improve their customer service and response time. Bad experience !

Great experience starts to finish (and in such a short time too!) Scott Bracci was great to work with and helped make leasing my 2014 Camry a breeze at a reasonable price within my budget. Dominic closed the deal with speed, accuracy and courtesy. All the other staff members and service team were friendly as well as helpful. Stars Don't even apply to this dealership ( I would have made it 0 Stars if that was an option) - new car not prepared, not washed and waxed - no gas in the tank (had to wait for them to run out and fill it up) salesman spent (ZERO) time explaining how the car worked - heavy duty emphasis on trying to sell more warranty in addition to the astronomical price. It's over a week now and they still haven't even registered the car. - Totally disappointed and dissatisfied with the entire experience -buy your vehicle somewhere else.

Damaged wheel spacers, dented my truck, didn't fix...

Damaged wheel spacers, dented my truck, didn't fix my break pedal going to the floor, changed rear wheel bearing due to leaking fluid which they replaced with a new 1 which means more fluid leaked out and they never bothered to check the rear diff fluid after.
So I basically paid almost 2000$ for them to trash my truck.

I would suggest taking your business elsewhere if you like your vehicle and don't want to deal with headaches.

Best buying experience I've ever had! Sales woman was amazing! Since buying I've gone in for my first service appt and the service department was so great too! They explained everything in depth and finished my car faster than expected. Best dealership I have ever been to, real friendly atmosphere and knowledgeable employees. I am new to this dealership but so far so good.
Went in for basic maintenance and got what I expected. I always expect a huge repair cost bill. But my family and I maintain each others cars as needed and we know the sales pitch for dealership maintenance. Told me everything I already knew and confirmed it. Went home and did the repairs as needed. Great to find a coupon on their website for the work I didn't feel like doing this time around. (oil, tires, maintenance check, etc.) While waiting we toured the sales area and talked a few salesmen. They were very kind, not pushy, and professional. Highly recommend a salesmen that just moved from Florida to be with his family in CT. A very kind and honest salesman. All about family and happiness. You don't see quality salesmen anymore but he was great. Our family will be working with him when we want to purchase new.
My only suggestion would be a full renovation of the building. Smelling mold and staring at outdated interiors is really off putting if your buying new. Waiting area should also be state of the art to draw in more customers. I don't mind a shop type of environment so I could deal with it but I got the vibe that other paying customers weren't feeling it.
Please keep up the great service work and think about a renovation.

I flew in from Cleveland Ohio to purchase a beautiful Toyota certified FJ Cruiser. My salesman Craig was probably the single most factor in this purchase. To trust someone from so far and then to have the follow up that he has been displaying (such as assisting with helping me understand the vehicle features, questions for the business department and even mailing me a key and strap the former owner returned after the fact!) definitely has me as a future repeat customer. The dealership was wonderful as well, very promptly and attentive to my very specific needs. Craig even picked my friend and I from the airport and made some great recommendation's regarding the areas restaurant's and attractions. Supremely happy about my purchase. I have purchased many new cars and this experience was far superior to all the rest. Thanks Craig and Gale Toyota, new trusted friends! Todd

Worst experience. The owner/store manager was so resist. We asked some time to think to buy car as we have to think about our finances. He started forcing us. When we questioned about high price than other dealers, he started talking very rudely with my husband. Very LOUDLY. He didn t know how to talk to customer. I am wondering that s the he would talk to his white customers???? Very very very disappointed. I wish I would give home lower than one. I went there doesn t mean I have to buy it. Specially when you are selling with high price with high interest. I work 14 hours/day to bring food on the table.

I am not quick to give bad reviews but they truly earned 1 star from us.
My wife and I was ready to purchase Brand new 2019 Highlander SE MODEL.(we visited 2 other dealerships the day before and was very ready to make a purchase)
When I called this dealership to get their price on the Highlander SE, sales person Dave was professional, down to the point and offered me a price that was very good.(he told me he had 30years in sales experience)
I went down to the dealership with bank check in hand, ready to make the purchase.
After test driving the vehicle, Dave and I, shook hands to agree on price, I even added the vin number to my insurance policy to register the vehicle .
after about 30 minutes into purchasing process, Dave came back to the table and started explaining there was a terrible mistake on the price he offered. Due to mistake of internet company they hired(the sales manager insisted it was not their mistake) they could not sell the car at the price they agreed already. Price of the car jumped $2000(later manager offer $500 discount)
I and my wife ended up not buying the vehicle, spending almost 2.5 hours at the dealership all because of their mistake.
They knew we were very upset and disappointed with the situation but "sorry" was all we were offered.
I even sent an email to the owner of the business, since they claimed it was a family owned business, I thought the owner had some respect for our lost time......
WAS I WRONG ABOUT THEM. The owner did not reply till this day.
Please be aware that what happen to us can happen to you.
I DO NOT RECOMMAND THIS PLACE.
(we did make the purchase at Hartford location next day)

My husband and I recently went to Gale Toyota to look at SUVs. We worked with Scott Bracci and his team. Scott was very professional and knowledgeable. He took his time to answer all of our questions, explain and explore all details (from vehicle to finance). We also had a pleasant experience when dealing with other members of the Gale Toyota team. Each went above and beyond to get us our desired vehicle at a very reasonable price. It's been many years since I've had an even "decent" experience at a car dealership...but this experience was undoubtedly exceptional. I would not hesitate with a referral, or a future return.

Take us as a serious buyer, upon finding out that we have one more appointment in Springfield he said OH now the truth comes out like almost calling us a liar in addition he never told us how much they would pay for my trade because he wanted me to go to the other appointment and come back from there first Plus he told me that since they don t sell dodge trucks here he will have to call Dodge wholesaler and get them down here for an estimate of my trade and that can t be done today I knew right away that he s lying and trying to get rid of me in short as Soon he found out that I am going to visit another dealership his attitude was like he doesn t want to deal with this anymore it was also very clear that he was being prejudiced with us since he noticed my wife s MUSLIM outfit. ln short he underestimated me as a potential customer but he was wrong because just few miles from there in W. Springfield I was able to purchase 2018 XL I at a very good price where they were able to figure out the value of my trade and did all the paperwork In a matter of two hours........ The bosses of that dealership should make sure that their crew acts professional and legal and doesn t mix business and Prejudiced together .................thx for reading..

Let the buyer beware! I was sold a 2015 Prius complete with the use of Entune apps (which was was a big selling point). As it turns out, the Entune system In Toyotas earlier than 2016 no longer works as it is supposed to. You have to plug your phone into the car to access it. This would be ok had I been told this- instead the sales person argued with me, treated me as though I was ignorant, and when I spoke with the manager, I was not treated with respect. At any point, had someone said I m sorry, I wouldn t have been so angry. Bottom line, I was sold a car that didn t have what I was told- and the small print says one is supposed to check out the system before one buys the car, which I wasn t allowed to do. I will NEVER return to them. Caveat emptor!

I just purchased a certified preowned Toyota Plug-...

I just purchased a certified preowned Toyota Plug-in Prius from Ted Laraway. Everything went OK with the sale but post sale has been poor at best.

This is a plug-in Prius, it certainly would have been nice if the car was charged when I picked it up.

Since this was a preowned car, the Entune was registered to someone else and Toyota wouldn't register it to me. This was on a weekend so I sent Ted an e-mail using the address on his business card and it bounced. So sent the Gale Toyota Facebook account a message - never got a reply.

I called on Monday and spoke to Ted who had no idea what I needed to do. I told him his e-mail bounced and he kind of giggled and said he needs to set that up. Don't put your e-mail on your business card if it doesn't work.

I spent a lot of my personal time going back and forth with Toyota sending my sales receipt to them to finally register it to me.

It turned out someone from the dealership was driving the car; he should have known to delete the registration from his account. This is another example of poor customer service.

I didn't notice this until later as I was removing the Gale Toyota license place frames; but it appears that Ted had a problem getting the plates off my old car as they were damaged. The corner where the screw is was ripped. Thanks for that Ted.

The first rain I drove in I had to replace the windshield wipers. They were clearly very worn out and didn't work.

This is not what I expect from a Toyota Certified Preowned car purchase.

But wait it gets better. When I purchased the car it came with a year of service free. I was clear to explain that I didn't live local and was assured that I could bring it to any dealer. They gave me the special form to give to the dealer. The first time I took my car to get service, they wouldn't accept it. They sold me the wrong service plan.

I had to call Gale Toyota and they had to call the dealer and agreed to pay the difference. This is just SOP for this place.

With the Certified Pre-Owned, I received a year of road side assistance. I also had purchased Entune and that comes with roadside assistance. I locked my keys in my car and needed a locksmith. I called Toyota and gave them the VIN number and they told me I didn't have roadside assistance. I explained that I had it 2x but she wouldn't help.

I had to call a local lock smith to unlock my car and when I called Toyota back to get reimbursed, they couldn't explain what happened to the account. I'm certain that it was how Gale Toyota screwed up the account from the beginning.

Great experience dealing with Jason Huges at Gale Toyota in Enfiled, I was pleased with my Tundra SR lease but when it came toward the end, I decided to upgrade to the SR5 with TRD upgrade in a color I really liked and buy the 2015 since they are offering great interest rates. I love the truck, and my father liked it so much he got himself one too. If you are looking for a Toyota, I highly recommend you talk to Jason. He was very easy to deal with, and went out of his way to make sure I got just what I wanted.

I ended up driving a little over an hour to acton toyota in littleton ma and dealt with professionals and am super happy with everything. If you go to gale toyota you deserve everything you get.

Scott worked hard on numbers to make sure I got what I wanted and the price I wanted. I will be back for another when my lease is up! :)

I was car shopping for a while. Tried one dealer, who told me I needed a co-signer. Decided to try my luck elsewhere as I did not have a co-signer. Went online and found a few cars that were not only reasonable but had low mileage. Within minutes I received a call from Gale Toyota to make an appointment. Met with Chelsea who is great and straightforward. She got me into the car that had everything I wanted. Thank you Chelsea for all of your help not to mention making the process easy and painless.

Gale Toyota and salesperson, Barbara, provided stellar service. This small dealership embodies the Americal small business model. Every customer seems to count as the most important one. Barbara sold me a new 4Runner. She was delightful to deal with. I feel she was a good and fair negotiator. I've had experience with Gale in the past. We bought a Rav4 for my wife in 2010. I recall the ease and warmth of their operation, and know the quality and efficiency of their service department. If I'm going to buy a Toyota, I'm going to buy it from Gale. Cudos to the management for obtaining and retaining such an excellent team!

I showed up to my appointment not only was the person I was supposed to see not available they didn t have the car I wanted even after I was told they did. They said they d call back when they got the car in. Still haven t heard from someone. I m very glad I was talked into going to another dealer.

I don't typically write reviews, but after a 4 month long search for a new-to-us car, I feel like these reviews serve as a great starting point for someone in the market...

We had been looking for a van for the past 4-5 months and had two experiences with Gale Toyota during this search. We live about 1.5 hours away, so we were genuinely interested in seeing what they had to offer and making a purchase when we drove there.

During our first trip, we were paired with Craig. He was nice, but a tad pushy and we are not huge fans of the used-car-salesman pitch. In short, we saw a van, made an offer and we were pretty blatantly given numbers no where near our comfort level. We were told there was nothing they could do. We left and never heard from them again.

Our search resumed and 4 months later we were brought back to Gale Toyota to look at another van. We were paired with Ted, but this is semi-irrelevant as we had minimal interaction with him beyond Day 1.

On the day we showed, it was pouring out and a close, accurate inspection on the van's exterior was nearly impossible. The interior was pretty rough and for $21,000, it made me feel a bit uncomfortable. I asked about fixing up all of the tears in the interior and was told that a shoddy patch job was the best they could offer. Nevertheless, I expressed an interest in the van and we did work to try to get the numbers right. A lot of things were promised about the van--marks would be touched up, the interior would be heavily detailed, the tears on the inside would be fixed to the best of their ability, without actually replacing them, etc.

I will say that during the week ahead, I shared about 5 dozen emails with Samantha, who was WONDERFUL. She was incredibly patient, thoughtful and efficient. She responded to all of my emails and questions immediately and took pictures of the "repairs" throughout the week, to keep me in the loop. She was VERY helpful!

Sadly, when we showed up the following weekend, thinking we'd be getting the van, despite my expectations not being where I'd hoped, the van had not been touched. It was covered in deep scratches, dents, dings and junky interior repairs. Trim was falling off, bumper stickers hadn't been removed and nasty stains still tainted the interior of the vehicle. We literally said that if we bought it, we'd be taking it home to clean it. We drove 1.5 hours to look at this vehicle again, with good intentions of purchasing it and they couldn't even bother to pretend to care about its appearance. The rips in the interior looked like my toddler had tried to fix them. I was floored. Someone in the repair shop actually told us he'd never pay so much for said car.

I had my heart set on getting the car that day. I was told that $10,300 was the absolute highest they could give me for my vehicle and $21,000 was the absolute lowest they could go on the dingy van. They showed little interest in working with us or acknowledging just how bad the van was...

We mostly worked with Justin (manager) and by the end, we truly felt like our sale didn't matter. The dealership did very little, including cleaning up the car and removing stickers, to capture our interest. I was entirely unsatisfied and we decided to walk.

The next weekend, we went to a dealership in Albany, NY and learned how a car buying experience is SUPPOSED to feel. No one was pushy or pitchy and the car we drove over to see was meticulous. They stopped at nothing to meet our budget and meet our other expectations. This weekend, we purchased a Toyota Sienna from them--it was a year newer, a better model, with comparable mileage and it is FLAWLESS. The best part? They gave us way more for our trade in and charged us LESS for the van than the one at Gale! I'm so grateful that we decided to pass after getting a bad vibe at Gale Toyota. Ironically, the beat up van we almost bought is still on their website (magically $500 cheaper than the "best" they could offer us) and I am in a vehicle that looks and feels brand new!

Salesman trying to distract you so they can nail you with a high interest rate bank, when I try to help my relative and question about it, salesman and their team reacted very nasty way! Please don't waste your hard working money on this dealer very dishonest.

At first they were uninformed about the rebate from Connecticut but when I complained that I wasn't going to get my rebate they went out of their way to contact the state and now I am getting my $750 rebate. I appreciate the help, and their service department is top notch.

I want to thank Jason in the service dept. at Gale Toyota! My tire kept loosing presure. I kind of thought there was a nail in it. Sure enough there was. He told me that unfortunately they can't repair it due to the nail was near the side wall and that's a safety concern. Ordered tire and fixed with in no time at all. Very easy to make appointments. Everyone is friendly and willing to help resolve your concern. I didn't get charged a leg and an arm. I will be back to purchase a car and use the service dept. Thank you Gale Toyota :)

Excellent car and excellent service It was a very busy day there when I stopped in without an appointment and Mike fit me in and got me behind the wheel and driving the Camry home that day!!
I was originally going to buy a Subaru but, after my former Toyota Matrix hitting
216, 000+ miles without ever needing any major repairs, I decided to go back to Toyota and give their 2015 Camry a test drive. My Matrix has definitely earned Toyota that chance. I drove the Camry XSE 2015 and was very impressed with its handling, comfort, style, looks, both inside and out. The XSE has the most sporty look a Camry has ever had in my opinion. 28in hot looking aluminum wheels with low profile tires, mean looking front grill and rear spoiler. The car has some get up and go for a 2.5L 4cylinder. Really sharp two tone black and grey leather and suede interior and electric front seats with adjustable lumbar support. Lots of cool electronics to satisfy my geek side too. Highly recommend this dealership and vehicle.

The vehicle was offered at a price lower than the Blue Book fair price, it was precisely the truck I wanted (except for the color, which doesn't matter that much), there was no bait and switch or last minute pressure to buy things I did not need or want; everything went smoothly.

I was impressed by all of the humans that I met there; the owner's son who is the grandson of the founder of the dealership, the financial manager, and most important to me, Michael Mercier, my sales representative. He took time to show me the capacities of the vehicle even after my check was in their hand and they did not need to do anything more to seal the deal. He showed genuine pride in the quality of Toyota vehicles.

So I highly recommend this dealership in general and Michael Mercier as a sales representative in particular. And I am very happy with my new truck.

I shopped around for a good deal on a Used Toyota Tacoma and found Gale Toyota. I left what I thought was a deposit on the truck over the phone so I could travel the 2 1/2hrs. 3 days later. After arriving and being greeted by our great salesperson Chelsea we found out they couldn t do our deposit over the phone but held the truck for me anyway. I fell in love with the truck and had to have it. And even though It was the best price within a 250 mile radius they were still willing to work with me on the price. The only issue I have had is getting my truck registered because it is out of state but I can t blame that on the dealership. They have been more then eager to answer all of my phone calls and questions. Because of all this I may make the same trip the next time I need a new vehicle. Thank you again Chelsea.

well this review took me a long time to write and it's because i don't usually like to talk bad about anyone but... I purchased a car from them on august 31 2017 and it's January 1 of 2018 and the car needs a lot of work done to it.. only 4 months ?? i spent 13,000 on a car and have to put in a few thousand dollars 4 months later ?? when i got it i had to go back and get an axle fixed and guess what they didn't fix it and managed to avoid the noise it makes when it's bad and you take a sharp turn.. They supposedly took it to the Subaru dealer and fixed it but now both axles are broken and i have to come out of my pocket to fix it on top of the 13,000 i payed for the car.. Another thing is the rubber that goes around the inside of the door. came a month after i had the car and that's after the 2-3 weeks they had my car for repairs after i purchased it... Last thing is my wheel bearing sounds like i'm in an airplane it's so loud.. when i asked why the car sounds like that when i first bought it the salesman said that's how Subarus sound and me not knowing much about car thought it was fine until i took it to a Subaru dealer near me and they told me everything that was wrong with my car and let me test drive the same car from their dealership... I'm super pissed about all of this and just want to prevent anyone going there and getting ripped off.... oh and i had a few free oil changes and haven't gone back to get them I've paid for the oil changes I've gotten just to avoid any more problems with this dealership... super unprofessional

We bought our 2011 Toyota Corolla from Gale Toyota. We made the mistake of bringing it to a local garage closer to our house for routine maintenance on a Friday. Sadly, in performing an oil change the service technician at that garage made multiple errors which resulted in oil leaking from the car. We brought the car to Gale, and Scott Cofield was awesome - the car was fixed and back on the road on Saturday morning! THANK YOU GALE TOYOTA - we have learned our lesson!!

What a great experience from start to finish working with Gale Toyota! Matthew Bogden and Bob Green were so easy to work with. I never felt pressured by them and they were so responsive to all of the questions I had in regards to buying a plug-in hybrid vehicle. Matthew was particularly patient in going over the vehicle details and functioning with me. Both he and Bob were instrumental in ensuring I got my Rav4 Prime delivered ahead of schedule at a time when they were really hard to come by. Every time I reached out they responded immediately-even after the sale was finalized. Service was definitely above and beyond!

I bought a 2014 Camry from this dealer. Cancelled ...

I bought a 2014 Camry from this dealer. Cancelled the extended warranty and these people refunded me only after complaining to Toyota several times. It took around four months. There is no receptionist at their office and most of the staffs are very rude. I will never go back to this dealer. I took the car to another Toyota dealer in Hartford for the scheduled maintenance. Stay away from these guys..

Wish we could leave ZERO or negative stars. This place is SUPER SHIFTY! We called about a vehicle, left a deposit over the phone, drove up the same morning to test drive the car. We negotiated a price and needed to register it out of state. The sales manager, Justin, was working on the process for us while we went to have some lunch. Our salesman, Jon, contacted us that they couldn't register it out of state for us but would help us by discounting us a portion of the tax. We said we would think about it because we still had the deposit down on the vehicle. That evening, we chatted with customer service and they came down on the price a bit more. She was going to check on getting the tires balanced and assured us we would get a text back when we could pick it up. We never heard back that night. We contacted them in the morning and they ended up selling the car out from underneath us to someone else. NEVER DO BUSINESS HERE!
