Great place for food. Beer selection was varied which allowed for everyone to be happy. The hummus is amazing, and their sandwich options are hard to choose between. I suggest the onion rings!

I've been here at least 10 times. Great beer selection and an amazing seasonal/specials food menu.
Diverse selection of beer and food. Good environment with helpful staff
This place adds a beer lovers fix and good creative dishes. You can get half-pours so you can try multiple drinks without committing to a full size. There are spirits and wine for those aren t fans of brew. Multiple areas to have a large group gathering as well as trivia nights. The TVs give you multiple options and the new Chive TV channel gives content for just about anyone to get into and spark a conversation and have a good laugh. The Lamb Naan sandwich bites were flavor packed and the pizza is promising. I am glad I live close by so this can always be an option to catch a game here or just a chill night out. Oh and they also have Manko Shark on the menu, I am a fan of that!
Frisco is a solid choice if you're looking for a brew pub with good food in the Columbia area. The atmosphere is squarely in the realm of "rustic industrial", which is a term I may have just coined to refer to someplace with high ceilings, exposed HVAC, and wood/metal furnishings. They have a great selection of rotational beer, an extensive (and tasty) menu, and great unusual weekly specials. This week, my lunch partner ordered the "Yak Meatball Pizza". Who doesn't want Yak balls on their pie? I have been here quite a few times, and I will say that the service is occasionally spotty. My main grievance is with the beer menu. It's on a television above the bar... which is really far away if your vision isn't great anymore (like me) and sitting in certain sections of the restaurant. It's available online, but I always click on the wrong link and end up in the beer menu for the Crofton location... and invariably I order something that's not on the menu in Columbia and the server looks at me like I'm crazy. Give me a good old paper menu.
From a modest burrito joint to the best beer bar on the area by a landslide Adam has created an amazing business. A great staff, innovative and creative brewing, and a constantly changing menu keeps this place relevant. Always a favorite and proud to be a regular.
Nice place to drink, but not to eat. The food was bad, probably the worst French fries I ve had in years-dry and tasteless. If I came back I would sit at the bar and not order food. At least it is family friendly. Service was so-so.
It's got a sports bar feel to it, but it makes up for it with a large beer selection and pretty good food. It's not standard bar food, so try out the menu. There are several vegetarian options too.
Just went there for an unprecedented beer-less lunch. The food definitely stands on it owns, and from healthy salads to meaty sandwiches, everyone was very happy. I had their Vietnamese bahn mi - inspired sandwich, and it was very nicely done.
And in case you didn't know, they also have a few beers on tap.
My favorite local brewer. The steak and onion sandwich is juicy and full of flavor. The house nachos are a perfect bite of chorizo, cheese, black beans, guacamole, sour cream and jalapenos. I've never had dessert there but plan to go just for the whiskey bread pudding.
I have been here countless times and it s always been amazing. I am a big burger guy and I was in tonight for just that reason. Brian was our bartender and he acknowledged us within 30 seconds of us sitting down. He was friendly and asked us what we wanted to drink or if we needed a minute. When it can time to order our food Brian didn t write anything down but our order came out perfect to the point we had nothing to ask for. No dipping sauce or anything cause it was all there. The chefs need a shout out cause I order my burger medium rare everywhere but Frisco is the only place I know will deliver every single time cause they have 5/5 times I have ordered it!! Love this place and would recommend it to any and everyone!!
Great list of beers that are always changing and a fantastic menu to go with it!
Excellent beer selection. Get the steak and onion sandwich, you won't be disappointed.
Good beer selection, clean environment, friendly staff
Great beer. Wednesday pint night is great. Good was delicious. PrIces were ok. Service was wonderful. Parking was limited.
One of our favorite spots. Great food, huge selection of beers. It can be loud. It's a big place too, with lots of tables, so even on busy nights we've never had to wait for a table. Good spot for groups. Good vegetarian options.
After work place. Now that they added the parking lot out back, there is plenty of parking. Extensive beer menu, but limited food menu. Can be noisy.
Too notch service, knowledgeable staff, and beer 2 arrives before beer 1 is done. Fifty+ taps, usually something new.
We've always enjoyed going here for the beer, food, and atmosphere!
Good brewery. Loved the beerimisu. Not much here beyond sandwiches though.
Nice craft beer selection, but prices are way too high. They give you a big, heavy glass which makes you think you're getting more than what you really are. Over $40 for 24 oz. of beer and a sandwich. I take my business to the other brewpub (not K9) on Dobbin, their prices are much more reasonable and the food is excellent.
We USED to eat there at least once a week for years. Great food. We even affectionately nicknamed it "Frisco Wednesday". Food and service went seriously downhill at the new location. We get sentimental every couple months and try again only to be disappointed again. They can't consistently season the chicken or steak burritos. Its a crap shoot as to the flavor of the month (plain, bbq, teriyaki(! yuck), etc.)
Huge selection of beer on tap. Food is pretty good, a cross between American and Mexican. Parking is tough in the evenings, probably the biggest reason why we don't got there much.
Always a deliciously solid experience! A go-to for my family and friends.
You're going for the beer selection... not exactly the food
Overall, a good place for a beer with some friends. The best part is the huge selection of craft beers. Clean facility, friendly staff. Food if good, but not the reason to should go. Buffalo burger was good, and a lot of food. Pretzel was tasty, but over priced for two medium pretzels.
We had our work holiday luncheon here on December 18th, with around 30 people. The manager, Audra, was great to work with and was very accommodating. We sat in the semi-private side room, which worked great for our group. I had the mushroom flatbread, which was tasty and the right size for lunch. The waiter told us it was his first time serving a group, and he did a great job.
TONS of craft beers on draft and the food is very good too, I recommend the Buffalo burger.
Loud, very basic fare (lots of fried food) but very good service and great beer selection
It s cool how they offered nile perch when I ate there.
Everything I've tried has been amazing. Staff are always great and the draft selection is awesome
Better than average food, great selection of beer, plenty of room inside. Parking is bad!
Nice local brewpub with an amazing excellent variety of craft brews. The food is also surprisingly good. The staff have always been terrific and knowledgeable.
Great place and the bartender laughs alot. To much fun. Thank you
Waitress was great, food was good, and wonderful atmosphere.
Friendly server, nice atmosphere, and delicious food. Loved the Old Brown Dog beer and pastrami sandwich!
Good atmosphere. Wait staff very pleasant and helpful. Beer and food was great.
So there I was with my homies. Riding up and down 175 mad max style along the once vibrant city of Columbia, Maryland. Darkened buildings and boarded up windows whizzed past us on either side as our twin engine bikes roared down the road.
In past America, before the shut down, it was common to stop and have a beer from time to time.
So we searched.
Oh yes we searched every corner of Columbia Maryland. Surely there was some persistent soul amongst this desolate wasteland that could quench our thirst, but it was futile. Everything was closed.
We collapsed onto the pavement. Our bikes toppling to the side. Throats dry and lips parched. This was the end. The darkness was coming..
Until a figure appeared on the horizon, her light flooding the bleak gray that had overcome the city. Her great angelic wings extended on either side as she descended to where we lay. "Who....Are..You?" I rasped.
"I am Aleesah" she replied. "And I have the beer you seek"
Cradling each of us in her arms she flew us to a magical well, beaming with light. "Drink deeply from the well of the Flying Dog Irish Coffee" she commanded. "And you will be quenched."
After we finished our beer we looked upon her as she ascended to the sky. "Will I ever see you again!? Also will you marry me?" I called out.
As she faded from view she responded, "Frisco Taphouse will soon open at 5pm, you may find me there, and no. I don't date mortals."
True story. All of it. Aleesah is awesome. Take your business here
Great local spot to try breweries in area, great food, great specials
Great food, not your avg bar fare. From a beer geek perspective you would be slightly impressed. Good selection and some good in house brews with some interesting collaborations.
The beer is the real reason to go, but the chefs seem to be pepper heads like me and when asked can really spice up your food. If you ask, be prepared to fry your tongue.
First time here tonight. Pretty cool spot. They have a pretty large tap list and some hard alcohols. Not all beers are available in a 5oz pour but I would say half are. Saltaff was friendly, fun and accommodating. We also had the wings which were awesome! The fish tacos and pretzels looked pretty good too. Would go back if we were in the area.
This place has a fantastic beer list. They rotate it often so it there's always something new to try.
Went to check out there diverse beer selection but left being impressed with both the beer and the food. Chorizo Queso dip as an appetizer was amazing. I love the chorizo burrito. Friends had crab cake sandwich with onion rings and said it was one of the best she's had in awhile. My other friend had a bison burger and had equally fantastic things to say.
Beer menu was displayed electronically over the bar. Bartender said it was linked directly to the menu on their website and that included descriptions. Great concept but took us awhole to get to the beer menu. Would have been greay if they had a qrcode at the tables or tablets we could use. Will probably take a look ahead of time to prepare my beer selection.
Waiter was funny and knowledgable. Gave great beer suggestions.
Also kid friendly. Will definitely be returning soon.
Decent food and the staff is pretty knowledgeable about what they have on tap. If you aren't a drinker, there are better places for food, but their beer list is great.
Great variety of house brews and local and national beers. The food was also good and the prices were just slightly above other brewpubs I've been to. I've gone several times and will go again.
Just been here once, so bare in mind most people have off-days, but the food wasn't the too impressive (particularly for the price).
The selection of beer more than makes up for it though. Although $7 a relatively cheap beer to make, has me cringing some (maybe it's a Maryland tax/rent thing, but I'm use to $4-5 craft beers at a bar/brewery).
I shall return for more 'research' soon...
This is a quintessential neighborhood pub. Great bartenders, everyone knows everyone else. Football on the multiple TVs. Serviceable food. I'll definitely go back
The corn dog dish is good. That earns it's own star. Unfortunately, after waiting 20 minutes, the server brought out a chicken sandwich. Then I waited longer until the corn dog came out.
The server tonight wasn't familiar with a single beer on the menu. I asked about four: all four, he pulled out his phone a googled them. He'd not tried any of them.
The menu is color coated. He didn't know what the color coating legend was. He thought maybe the yellow meant the beer was more expensive. Lucky, I found the legend on their website.
I asked when happy hour ends. He said there wasn't a happy hour, just game day specials on game days. We asked him to double check. After talking with his manager, he confirmed that yes, there is a happy hour.
I asked about two dishes. He said he'd have both, but they weren't good. He didn't like them. So I stopped asking.
This is not normal.
Convenient outdoor seating with covering. Good food good prices good beer good service
The diverse beer selection keeps me coming back...for 6 years. The previous location, w/only 19 taps, was awesome too! A very friendly vibe at both places, everyone is treated equally, no matter what you prefer to drink. Food is far beyond simple bar food.
Excellent food, lively place. Friendly and helpful staff. Great Pastrami sandwich! Excellent beer.
My husband and I love this place. Wonderful beer selection and good food. If you don't love craft beer, this place is probably not your jam.
This place does not have much in the way of food. But it does have an unusually large selection of beers. If you are looking to try a new beer, then this is the place to go.
Love this place. Feels like a local pub with a restaurant menu. Food is stellar, ever-changing beer list has something for everyone, and the staff has never been anything short of sincerely friendly.
Great selection of beer. Great food. Service got slow during visit.
Great service, wonderful selection of beers and food. Loved it!!!
It was ok. Wish they had a paper menu for beer and that the server was more interactive ie: made recommendations and talked about the different types of beers they had. I got the flourless cake, which was pretty hard. I also got the fish More
Great location for the game night we had. Good employees, good beer, good food, and good company!
One of my top two spots in the Columbia area. Food is great and the beer is AMAZING.
Was always overpriced but used to come pretty often for the burritos, which seem pretty shoddy now. Service is hit or miss - mostly nice folks, but a few of the guys have a snobby machismo that wouldn't fly in a less pretentious joint.
One waiter got downright aggressive with a friend who didn't care for IPAs; we thought it was a joke until he refused to serve us for the rest of the night. Another waiter noticed, failed to get him to come over, and offered to cash us out. Saw him a long while later, luckily didn't get his section.
We suggested it to some friends a while ago and I was downright apologetic when the inflated bill came. I doubt we'll be back.
Great recommendation, chicken chowder and beer were delicious!
Very good beer selection food is giod staff is very friendly
We were visiting breweries in the Baltimore area, so am rating this as a brewery stop. We learned of Push Brewery and wanted to stop in. Imagine our confusion when the location was called Frisco Taphouse. To add to the confusion, the brewery is changing names to Reckless Brewing....
They have an extensive micro brew list here, but their own beer is poorly represented. Likewise, the brew art on the walls is impressive, but saw nothing if their own brand. Definitely not a brewery taphouse feel, but more so a sports bar.
One star for our server - he was awesome. One star for cold beer. The missing stars are for the disappointing experience. Settle on a name, represent your brand at least. Make sure your brewery name is searchable on Google maps. We also had to wait quite awhile for our check, but with the standing room only, loud crowd... we understand.
Overall, pass this on your brewery list, but visit for a multi-brewery sports bar.
The beer and staff are excellent, but that's about as far as it goes. The food just leaves so much to be desired. It's bland, portions are meh. Just not a huge fan, which is disappointing considering how great the rest of the experience is.
Unassuming from the outside but nice beer selection and very nice food inside.
My go to place when I stay in Columbia. Staff and patrons are always welcoming. Food is my favorite around the Baltimore area as well. Always an extremely amazing beer selection.
Our server was friendly, their beer list was huge, the food was delicious. I'm not really a beer drinker but I tried a passion fruit beer that wasn't too bad, however, I ended up just getting cider. Their brisket slider, calamari, and risotto rice cake appetizers were good. I got a steak sandwich for the entree and it tasted good, while also being tender meat and not chewy. The burrito was huge and the rib entree looked really delicious. I would go back if I was on the Columbia area.
Overall, it was great. Nice variety for the food and a greater variety of drinks.
Awesome servers, enough taps to satisfy any taste, get the chorizo burrito and say yes to all the additions. Maybe $3 extra...so worth it.
Extensive beer listing, good sandwiches, attentive waitstaff.
Had the Vietnamese ciabatta and fries which were delicious. Date had the bison burger which was juicy and flavorful. Beer selection is copious and the wait staff was knowledgeable and pleasant.
