Neither the termination was responded to, nor any other communication attempt. The hotline always throws you out after 8.5 minutes. I went through these 8.5 minutes over 20 times today alone and nobody can be reached. Unfortunately on Facebook the same thing. "Catastrophic" describes this service provider best. I'll run everything else through a lawyer.
Even with a rudimentary review of your own insurance you have to accept powers that enable Alecto GmbH to terminate the contracts on its own initiative and to cancel all consultancy rights of your previous consultant. This happens without consultation with the policyholder, so it will decide beyond your head. Incomprehensible!

The worst cell phone insurance I've ever had! If your device is broken you have to send it in somewhere abroad. Then you wait 3 weeks and then you get a device that is supposedly repaired but 1. looks worse than before and 2. still doesn't work. Then you contact friendsurance because you think that you are insured there and they tell you that they are not responsible. Then you get strange mails about Brexit. So everything has nothing to do with Friends and ensurance! I advise everyone against this insurance!
Ingenious principle and it works great. I never had to wait long for a reply via e-mail. I have not had a problem by phone. Last year, unfortunately, I had a legal protection case, even there was the claims settlement quickly and easily, the legal fees were refunded after sending the email to friendsurance within 14 days on my account. Best of all, despite the damage, I have been reimbursed for contributions! I have a full 5 stars.

- I insured my Samsung S10 + with Friendsurance - the day I ordered it online. From that day on I had protection. In theory at least.
- Unfortunately, even before my protective film and cover were delivered, I had an accident and the device fell 80cm from the heater onto the tile floor. Broken display! Super annoying. But: I had insured it! Or?
Now the sad thing: I had researched this beforehand. In the FAQ of Friendsurance (screenshots below) it is clearly different. On the rest of the website you try to attract customers with used equipment, because Friendsurance does not write (!) About "NEW equipment" but only speaks of "equipment" and the "date of purchase"!
Friendsurance thus ensures that premiums from unsuspecting used customers are first collected. In the event of damage, Friendsurance can simply reverse these contracts, because things are different in the AVB. Until then, the customers weigh themselves in safety.
Good business for insurance.
Conclusion:
Don't let the slim hippster design of the website blind you. In the end, the General Terms and Conditions apply. The information on the Friendsurance website may be incorrect or omitted. Better read it carefully.

I canceled my insurance on January 31, 2020, after several emails the cancellation was accepted. I had asked in all emails that my contribution should be transferred to my bank account (I also specified this several times). I received an email two weeks ago with a credit note for the amount mentioned, with the reference that the sum will be posted to the credit card. But I have not had this for a long time ... hence the reference to my bank account.
Now I have not had an answer to my email for days about what is wrong with my money. You don't need to call this Saulladen because nobody answers the phone and you are thrown out of the line after about 5-6 minutes, with the statement you should try it by email.

I've been more intensively concerned with the terms and conditions and find that everything is clear, what some complain about (but that's typical on the Internet .....).
