Friends hospital Review

Don't get me wrong, there is some room for improvement. But, I'm giving 5 stars anyhow to balance out all the 1/5's. In my very honest opinion, I'd rate Friends a solid 4/5

Overall, the techs and nurses were very attentive and generally helpful. Some went above & beyond. And I rly wish I were better at remembering names, bc they do deserve some recognition. It's a tough job; they are helping patients who, often, don't realize they're in need.
The therapy groups are great, especially art & music. Staff strongly encouraged each patient to participate, but didn't force them. They had a daily schedule and rotated different groups & activities throughout the week; so while it was structured, it didn't become monotonous.
Personally, I enjoyed most of the food lol.

I do think the intake process could use some improvement. Waiting hours to be placed on a floor isn't ideal, especially when a patient's in need of meds.
Also, in my opinion, the 72-hr thing should be more thoroughly explained ahead of time. Bc after having been admitted, nearly [if not] every patient was initially angry, upset, anxious, confused, or aggravated as they entered the floor - each one with the exact same / similar complaint.

Generally I rate the hospital a solid 7/10, lots of improvements could be made

Technology updates are important. Doctor Matt Parker needs to be more open to traumatic subject matter. None of the staff were capable of responding to my specific subject matter. So I was largely ignored and medicated psychiatrically, without proper conversational therapy sessions (psychology).

This hospital didn't give my daughter her meds the morning of her release, they didn't call the insurance to have my daughters meds approved when released and my daughter still don't have meds it's been 24+ hours. I called this hospital, the pharmacy called, the outpatient clinic my daughter was sent to called, my daughters insurance called and all we got was a run around and I'm sitting here with a teenager not on her schizophrenia medication because this place could care less.

I was hired back during the beginning of February of this year for the inpatient social work position, and then terminated a month in a half later. My fellow colleague who I was training under set me up to be terminated from this position. She reduced my caseload to seem like it was too much for me to handle. During my time there this colleague was rude to me because according to her I asked too many questions. For what I thought was a routine check to see how everything is coming along it turn out to be my termination. The director of the program never gave me a warning. Just stated that I was being terminated because she thought that I couldn t handle the caseload due to former my colleague purposely sabotaging it. I thought that the director of the program could have given me a warning or ask me more questions in regards to how everything is coming along. I looked forward my whole career working a position like this. And for it to be literally snatched from beneath me was disheartening. For any new incoming employees especially hired for a social worker please keep a list of the clients that you work with and make copies of paper work to be on the safe side. That s what I should have done.

From the moment we arrived at Friends CRC. My family and I were greeted warmly and given a detailed explanation regarding next steps, what to expect and who we would speak with during our loved ones care. Our family member was treated respectfully, our questions were answered and we were immediately put at ease by the calm demeanor and empathetic disposition of Mike, the Director. While this was an emotional time for my entire family, we were relieved to know that our loved one was receiving good care. It was a team approach: administration, medical staff, social worker and chaplain (who prayed and provided our loved one with a bible) all played a role in our loved ones healing. It s a well run program with a plethora of resources for individuals to access. We are on a better path thanks to Friends.

My time at friends hospital was surprisingly phenomenal. I had worries about the places when i first arrived, but when i adapted everything was good. Staff are doing their job right, the place is clean and everyone is treated with proper treatment. I really was able to work on myself mentally and physically within my time being there. Its a great 10/10 place to go to if your having mental problems or just problems in general. I first got there and it only took a few hours to settle in and then i was comfortable. Ive always had a problem opening up and saying whats on my mind and now i cant even imagine that being a problem for me. I wanna say thank u to all of the staff and workers there. Some might remember me but seriously yall are doing good and keep it up because i might apply there soon. You wasnt too hard on us, environment is eye catching, I felt more safe then i did in my entire life honestly. I didn't know anything about friends hospital, i didn t even know friends hospital was a thing but now I m recommending and telling EVERYONE about it. Friends hospital is legit and they definitely helped me to become a bigger and better person overall. Keep it up yall, your doin good. ~Issac Walker

It was horrible I sat in the crisis area for 26 hours waiting for a bed. I went there for grief counseling due to a sudden death of my brother. I didn t receive any therapy they just give you meds to put you to sleep. Then when I woke up I was dizzy and I ended up falling 3 times. I hit my head and knee. After this they told me the doctor will be here tomorrow. This was on the 11th of July. I am home now and to date I have never seen a doctor. I wouldn t send an animal to this place. I would rather go to the spca and be treated before I ever go back there.

This place is the worst hospital ive ever been to. They do not care about none of us they only care about their paycheck. When someone makes fun of your pronouns they dont do NOTHING nothing at all. They dont care. If you forget your meds they get mad at you and be disrespectful for no reason. If YOURE THE NURSE its YOUR job to remember our meds. Not OUR JOB do better. The staff are rude and say whatever they want to say. They never treat our issues seriously. Horrible place do not go here.

I was here back in 2020 , this place has no structure the staff did not take their job seriously ! I was bullied the whole time i was here and the only reason i had gotten discharged was because the girl who was
Bullying me was bullying everyone else mind you she was 10x my size , there was no therapy they threw you meds and that was it , some girl had multiple seizures because they couldnt find the right medications for her , i would no recommend especially because i am not from the area or dont live near by
