Fresno Chaffee Zoo Reviews

I've been all over the country and this is one of the best zoos I've ever been to. The park is clean, the animals are happy and cared for, and there are always helpful employees and volunteers nearby. This place is a good way to use up two to three hours, even if your family is familiar with the zoo. Just be prepared for the lion exhibit if you're bringing small children; there is a retired range rover there, and they will fight you to the death to stay with that truck.

Let's be real who doesn't love the zoo. Lots to see in a good way to enjoy a few hours during some good weather

I love taking my daughter and grand kids where they can learn a lot about animals and how to be aware of danger , and the most importent part is the respect they teach our children to keep their hands to themself

We were planning to go today but everything was over filled. No parking at all and we waiting a good while to go in just to be told parking is full maybe next time will be better

Had such a great time!! The new Safari exhibit with the Elephants, Wildebeest and Giraffes is so awesome! And there is a awesome space to eat and watch the whole exhibit while the kids play on some rocks and the adults can relax! There is a really nice firepit too for when it's cold. And there are multiple stand up heaters to keep you warm too. Really nice job they are doing to the zoo!

Love bringing my grandson here! He has so much fun at the zoorassic exhibit and the splash park. Cant say enough nice things about the staff. Will definitely be returning.

We love going to the Zoo my son gets so excited to see the Animals and feed the giraffes!!

Great place to be! The cost is very low, so it s perfect outing with the family. Best part is being able to feed giraffes! Amazing zoo!

Its pretty nice but paying for attractions after already paying at the gate is a little much but its a nice experience

It doesn't help that the zoo is next to it, it smells bad but it's a cool park

I have gone to the Fresno Chaffee Zoo since I started college in the early seventies and seen how it has grown and improved into one of the best Zoos to visit. Our family has been members since my children were born and now it is a favorite family event with my grandchildren. When I was young, the San Diego Zoo was a frequent event so I grew up loving the experience. The Fresno Chaffee Zoo is easier to experience in a day and an extremely memorable experience with special events and exhibits throughout the year. It's well worth visiting.

Visiting Zoos elsewhere in the Nation is something we have done over the years so I have seen some wonderful ones elsewhere, like Atlanta, Georgia and Portland. Each one has unique things and this Zoo does as well.

I like that it's affordable to go to. It's a small zoo but nice to take the kids out for a day.

This place is getting bigger and better every year. Prices aren't horrible to get in but the restaurants inside are in the high side for large families. We usually pack a lunch.

My kid loves seeing all the animals especially the reptiles in the reptile room, the tiger, and the lions

We love all the improvements to our zoo. Kids really enjoy feeding the giraffes and eating lunch overlooking the African savanna. It's a great place to meet friends and walk around.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Weather was great and children were free today. A savings and great learning experience for the children too.

Sea lion cove is amazing. The newest Jurassic exhibit is super cool. Can't wait for the Asian exhibit, it's going to solve the problem of hardly being able to see the tigers. Oh, and feeding stingrays is something you gotta try, feels like a slimy, kinda prickly vacuum sliding over your hand very gently... It's weird for sure, but so fun to have them glide through the water, slurp up the food and keep on it's way.

This zoo is very well designed with a nice variety of animals. The staff in the gift shop was friendly and helpful. Had a great day at the zoo. It doesnt disappoint.

Very cool animalsl, kinda hot may be better in the winter.

Nice little zoo however alot of animals were missing or "on paws" meaning they were being moved to a different location.

Had fun looking at all the animals and then the dinosaur exhibit. Food was good and people helpful

A very fun zoo. Wasn't very expensive. Wasn't very busy. And they have some new attractions like their Safari. It was exhilarating.

My first visit to the zoo was wonderful! Couldn't brag enough to everyone about it. I was very disappointed on my visit this year seems like all the animals were missing no tortoise no bears only one elephant one ant eater seemed halp of what it was. Entry went from 10 bucks to 12.95 and only halp the animals.

I was very impressed with how organized and clean the zoo is! The prices were very reasonable too! Everyone was friendly and answered questions with knowledgeable answers! My granddaughter was very satisfied!

Love the Fresno zoo, the staff is always amazing and with all the Covid-19 stuff going on right now they are still finding ways to entertain and engage my kids, like with the virtual zoo camp. Definitely recommend supporting the zoo in any way you can.

The zoo has really expanded and is growing rapidly. It's a fun interactive place for all ages.

What a cool place had so much fun. Went for a 2 year olds birthday party. The staff were awsome the facilty is so neat the animals were so close you can almost touch them the lion enclosure is awsome the rhinos we very cool

There's quite a bit to do at roeding Park. You can visit the zoo, go to storyland, ride the rides at Playland, and/or play in the water at Playland. You can have the kids play at one of the parks within roeding park, or you could just relax with family and bbq!

Had the best time ever with my two girls my mother & family

We loved every minute of this zoo. Staff was very friendly and offered help. The zoo is beautiful and we loved all the animals. Dinosaurs exhibit was a huge hit as well.

The park has really done a tremendous job of expanding, the staff is usually very friendly and knowledgeable! We almost always have the best time here and the animals are always fun to watch

I always have a delightful time when I visit. If I have a question, most likely all I have to do is turn around and there is someone who can answer.

Being born and raised in Fresno I have been going to the Fresno Chaffee Zoo for years. It is so nice to see how it has evolved. There are so many wonderful attractions. Stingray Bay where you can actually pet a stingray. The seal exhibit that allows you to not only watch the seals and sea lions frolic and jump out of the water you can walk down to the underwater level and watch them swimming. The African Adventure was so well done. It is expansive with lots of room for the animals to roam.

Zoo Lights was super fun and made for a lovely evening stroll!
