French Embassy in Malaysia Review

Poor service. Don't know how to reply questions in an email.
Change rules for document legalization from one month to another. Not aligned with their counterpart instructions in Singapore.
Don't remember what they told you 10 mins earlier, ends up making you pay more than you are supposed to to avoid waste another 20min time.
Classic poor level of French administration exported abroad : the less I do the better I feel.
Not sure if french understands what service means...
Overall disappointing experience. Ashamed of my own country...

I had to get a new passport and it was a good experience. They answered quickly to my emails and the staff inside the embassy was friendly and efficient.

Very good experience. Staffs are really helpful and courteous. Even in my home country's embassy I don't get this much respect :) I was running late for visa appointment, even then the staff at visa counter was so polite and helping me with smiling face.

Rapid passport renewal, unfortunately they did not explain to me that I had to make a visa transfer. I was stuck at immigration at the airport and then started a mission to make this visa transfer. I expect my embassy to give me all the ins and outs of a procedure, thanks to them I lost all the money from my flight ...

My only black spot during my stay in this beautiful country that is Malaysia .... a cold welcome unable to give me a correct answer ... the image of French public service incompetent haughty and useless ....

Not easy to reach, to park...and you have to wait in the corridor with no chairs....

Very poor service, disrespectful staff, a real shame for French people. Paying taxes to give salary to useless civilian servants... More than 4 weeks to reply an email, they refuse to help... PS I required their help as a french citizen and still they treated me like garbage!

One of the most transparent embassies I've dealt with, I have dealt with over 30 different embassies and the French Embassy in KL is one of the best, they are understanding and strictly follow the timeline provided at the same time, the balance between these two is perfectly followed

Located in a building easy to find, however, the embassy cannot be found on the GPS since it must be located inside the building
It is better to search for the building by its name INTERMARK MALL and then go to the 31st floor.
The embassy is obviously closed every afternoon.
On the other hand, a big thank you to the civil status personnel who agreed to give me an important document anyway.
You will also find on the ground floor a hyper prestigious Mall with many luxury shops and good restaurants
But the atmosphere is impersonal and cold in these immense galleries where you risk feeling very lonely.
In any case if the security staff of the embassy are uncomfortable and unpleasant the few people I met for my request were really understanding, especially speaking in perfect French.

Never open: I need to make a consular registration, I came two at the correct opening hours ... It's not serious

A lot of disappointment. Walls impassable to the one who is in distress.
A little hostile, hostile and distant attitude.

You can die in the street, behind these infamous high muses. It's not their problem. An image that we do not want to preserve. What is it for ? Some administrative formalities certainly but on the human level a total absence. It's cold !!!! Very frank !!!
