I love this market! It offers nostalgia, a great community feel and most times I'm able to find everything I need here. The farmers, butchers & vendors are great and on wknds, the outdoor element brings in artisans of all walks. How could you not enjoy taking part in a washington, DC historical tradition?

If you don't need to get groceries, grab a bite to eat while you decide which flowers to bring home! You'll find it ALL here at Eastern Market!

It was a beautiful day. Many vendors, with nice varieties of leathers, silver jewelry, dresses, scarfs, hats, soaps, veggies, fresh flowers.....everything. The Food Market was closed, which was a big, big bummer.

Lots of food, craft and art stalls. LOTS of variety! Things are pricey, but this is Washington DC! We had some tasty donuts and bought perfect fresh vegetables. A lovely activity for an early fall Saturday!

This weekly Saturday & Sunday pop-up, local and charming arket is nearly half of the reason why I moved to this neighborhood. There's also an indoor hall open every day of the week that has fresh pasta, cuts of meat and seafood, flowers, desserts, or any other fresh food/home goods you could think of. Offerings at the weekend market include: fresh, cooked food like crepes and doughnuts, goods like mirrors, sunglasses, candles, artwork, vintage maps and posters, and tons of other unique, crafty, handmade items. Neat clothes too! Worth a visit for anyone living in the District, and a fun place to go as a tourist/visitor. Something to like for everyone! And even more on Barracks Row around the corner, especially on weekdays.

New merchants have joined the market firing the 50 years I've been shopping at Eastern Market, but the high quality remains. Today, I always have, I purchased my New Year's greens from Calomiris. I miss the founders who have both passed away in recent years, but, as always, was greeted by their son with the same warmth and affection. Great produce, great prices, and wonderful, friendly service. What's not to like.

Great selection of meats, seafood, baked goods, pasta, fruit and cheese, poultry, dog bones, veggies and a sit down hot food serving area. Lots of vendors selling artwork, jewelry, clothing and asessories, outdoor seating with limited parking. Bring your own bag. Pricey but worth it.

I had never taken the time to really see what they had to offer, and they truly offer a variety of products. From food to clothing, jewelry to artwork, there is something for just about everyone.

Love this place, less crowded than grocery stores and I get to support small business. I pay a little more for meat you find cheaper in normal stores but the quality is outstanding. I
must go at least once a month.

Farmers market on Saturdays on the exterior of the market plus dozens of permanent stalls featuring fresh flowers, cut to order meat and fish, and farm fresh veggies. The lunch counter on the North end of the market building is not to be missed. Try the buckwheat pancakes.

Great little market open seven days a week. Hornet, they have their weekly farmers market on Saturdays.

Yoy can find art, food and jewelry and different items you might not find somewhere else.

The Amish cheeses and meat in so yummy.

Go inside the building, they have a great variety of international foods, flowers and fresh sea food. On the end of the market they have pastries that make you mouth melt.
