I love Freddy Hill! I'm 19 and I have been going there since I was a little kid.
Love that they have actual grass that you can hit off.
Freddy hill farms is right down the road from my house , not only convenient it's employees have always been extremely helpful and friendly. Whether you're going for ice cream , eggs , or for fun it's an extremely well run and clean facility.
Driving range, mini golf, bating cage, and great ice cream. Been going here since i was a kid and still make a weekly visit here.
Nice place to take the kids for a round of miniature golf and some ice cream. There is also batting cages, driving range, and some animals for the little kids. You get fleeced for the ice cream, way too much for the little cone they give you. They have a nice fall festival in October too.
The batting cage cost have gone up 50% for 2015. From $1.00 a coin to $1.50. Why the need to gouge eyeballs from last season? If I ever go back it'll be just for a social event instead of watching the 12 year old bat. Some businesses are just pathetic with there hand in your pocket,
Just visited this place. Grandsons had a great time! First visit for all of us. However when we went to get a snack we were greeted with the utmost rudeness of the staff there. When my grandsons asked for a hot dog to purchase they were told they didn t have any. When asked for potato chips they were told they were not set up yet. Now this was at 1:15 - 1:30 today. The hours state that they opened at 11:00 am. Think the owners would have the staff full operational by opening. So next time we will just take our business elsewhere until the staff get some manners and know when to be ready for the crowds.
Everyone that works there was great only icecream for now cause of Caron's , but next week should be lifted t b d .
Freddy Hill is the absolute best in the area. The ice cream is freshly made and always delicious. The main reson I go is the batting cages which are usually ope and are real fun to use. I highly reccomend this place for all ages in the family.
My family and i love going to Freddy Hill Farms. There is always plenty to do, eat and see
Great place for family fun, practice batting in the batting cages, play mini golf, and just do some golfing. When I saw the mini zoo, I was alarmed because the animals were so skinny. The animals deserve better care. But everything else is fine, except for the poor animals.
Love freddie hill. I drive the kids 30 min to hang here. They are 9 and 7. Love the mini golf, batting cages, driving range and ice cream!! Always nice staff here. Clean establishment.
Great place to take the kids and grandkids for Mini golf and ice cream.
A decent ice cream place with good selection through remember it's cash only. The rest of the place is pretty sad, wouldn't stop by for much else.
My boyfriend and I recently moved into an apartment just down the road from Freddys and it has definitely been the place weve visited the most. Its perfect for a summer night homemade ice cream treat, a sunday afternoon game of miniature golf, sharpening your batting skills or driving golf balls, or even to bring kids of all ages to see the animals. I wanted to write an updated review because Im so happy to have Freddys Family Fun Center close to us. The prices are VERY fair and they cater to the seasons (ie: hayrides and pumpkins in the fall). In the summer, the parking lot is packed every single night with families and couples. My nieces absolutely LOVED Freddys and constantly ask when is the next time they can visit!
Great family friendly place. Ice cream parlor, mini golf, driving range and battling cages.
Ice cream and mini golf is wonderful! The only thing I didn't like is that the animals they have at the dairy are in small enclosures when they are pasture animals.
Fun spot with miniature golf, driving range, batting cages, and ice cream to top it off. Features two miniature golf courses which are kept in decent shape. Ice cream is sold by the ounce.
There was a man running the shop that was very rude and made the experience not enjoyable
Beautiful place for family or friends highly recommend the banana milk and the staff is super friendly!!!
I took my family Mini-golfing today. On hole #7 in the "Discovering America" course, there is a LARGE patch of water and mud that covers part of the green and flows over the sidewalk. My 12 year old slipped and fell flat on his face - no broken bones but plenty of abrasions and muddy clothes. The thing that bothered me the most was that the management seemed not to care at all. They would not even get my son antiseptic or a band-aid! Their liability attorney should be fired and a bit of Disney training wouldn't hurt.
Great mini golf course and awesome ice cream options. Will be back in the future to try the other course and driving range
An original experience to say the least! We cannot say enough good things about the fun we had at the mini golf, batting cages and the driving range. Not to mention the ice cream that followed was out of this world delicious.
We took a whole party of 12 year old boys who were thoroughly entertained.
Always awesome! The staff is always polite and attentive, and the ice cream is delicious!!
Everything there is so fun and amazing! When I go there with my family we always start off with mini golf the ice cream and before we leave we look at the animals! The ice cream is delicious! It s just a great time!
Only rating this 4 because of the SUPER awesome mini golf course and really delicious ice cream but apart from that, the animals are kept in WAY to small of pens, they are dirty and the poor donkeys feet were in desperate need of a farrier! Ridiculous...you have such a great family place with amazing mini golf and yet...the poor animals, you certainly make enough money from your ice cream prices to expand the poor things cages!
The animals in the zoo at this farm are incredibly unhealthy. Their enclosures are small and are made up entirely of concrete with no grass. Some of them have a single small square of fake golf course grass. They do not appear to be cleaned frequently. The miniature donkey and horse came over to the fence next to us, and both of their hooves are in horrible condition, severely cracked and overgrown. They appear to have no other food but hay. The horse actually laid the front half of its body down on the ground next to the fence, pushed its head under, and tried to reach the grass on the other side of the fence. It could not. It broke my heart. This cancels out literally every good thing about this place because it is running on animal cruelty.
I was just there with my child's preschool. Parents, teachers, and children followed their "guides" into the corn maze. Several kids got separated from groups, and we could not get them because of the wires in between the corn. The staff of the farm couldn't find them either, and said out loud in front of children and parents, "I don't know, we don't have a map to this maze yet." Well then, it's probably a bad idea to let preschoolers loose in it! This seems like a liability as well as an obvious common sense issue: staff should know the way or have a map, and one should be at the front and one at the back of the group. I'm really outraged and disappointed. The pumpkin patch was fine. Visit one of the numerous other farms on the area that might actually care if they lose your kid.
Had a wonderful time with the kuds. Went through the corn maze and on the hay ride. Saw tge animals. Then we went inside for ice cream. It was delicious. Get the coffee
So much fun! The golf course was the best I've been to and the ice cream was really good! Friendly staff as well!
This review is purely based off the way the animals are treated at this farm . We walked over and saw thin almost unfed looking animals in the absolute most disgusting small small small fenced in areas ever. I couldn t believe my eyes with what I saw, it broke my heart and angered me so much that we decided to not purchase a single thing from this farm . Instead we got in the car and drove 7 minutes down the road to MERRYMEAD FARMS where the animals are living in proper spaces in which a farm animal should be. How does this place have so many bad reviews about the way their animals are treated but yet nothing has changed about it ?
Their ice cream is okay. They have a good amount of flavors and I love to visit the animals during the spring and summer.
My favorite hard ice cream in the area and the best mini golf that we have been to in the area! Went on a week day this summer to avoid crowds. It felt safe and we were able to social distance during our visit.
Great family, fun place. Love playing mini golf and enjoy the delicious homemade ice cream.
One of the best homemade ice cream I had in Lansdale!!
Great place, ice cream, petting zoo, mini golf and more
Fun and cheap family fun. The minigolf courses are both great, if you want more of a challenge play on the left course it is harder in my opinion. The right course is also fun because of all the water features and the cave. Make sure to stop in for some ice cream after you are done playing because they have a lot of great choices to choose from. My two favorites are the cookie monster and cookie doy, both great tasting choices so I definitely recommend getting some. They also have a batting cage and a driving range if you are not into minigolf.
It was a great time, especially considering the circumstances!
Good prices on a bucket of balls. Very unique mini putt courses.
ice cream is delicious! nice family atmosphere. my kids love it
Delicious ice cream! Rich, creamy, and full bodied.
Very nice outdoor place to have ice cream and many seating seats around + Mini Golf and baseball aria.
So while we loved the atmosphere and customer service, the ice cream itself was not as rich or flavorful as other dairies we have visited on our Farm to Scoop challenge. Of course, the long lines do indicate that others love their ice cream. Inside seating is a definite plus, along with other baked goods and some produce. Ice Cream cakes also available. I can't speak to the rest of the center as we did not stay for anything beyond the actual ice cream, but I can say it smells like a farm.
I hit two hole in ones and had an amazing milkshake! Lots of fun, good for groups of friends or family, and perfect for day or night. Great place. I'd love to go again :)
One of my favorite places to practice golf and was shocked to learn of Greg Vida's passing. I spent many hours at Freddy Hill soaking up his instruction, advice, humor and stories about his professional and personal life. He was a devoted husband and father. He will be greatly missed.
Playing mini- golf with 2 of the 6 grand kids. Fun day now for some ice cream, oh yea!!! Lou won of course
There is nothing more abbhorent than mistreating animals that YOU trapped and force to live in small, dirty spaces while being poked at by visitors. I am reporting this business and I hope they lose their animals. I hope that this review finds potential vistors before they have to witness the abuse they condone.
I came here for a date night and was having a great time... until I saw (smelled) the animals in the "zoo". The enclosures are so small, no shade in this 90 degree weather, and the animals were otherwise incredibly neglected. The Highlander has something wrong with his feet and was agitated and frustrated.
I will not come back other than to take photos of the conditions of these animals. I'll update my post then.
Love Freddy Hill. I've been taking my children there for years!!
Miniature golf, driving range, batting cages and the best ice cream anywhere.
The animals are gone though, maybe they will return in the future the children miss them
Wish I could give this place a better rating but my current one is pending on if they take any action to fix the disgrace that is the "animal area". We were so sad about the condition of the animals that my husband spoke to management. They actually appeared to be contrite and my hope it that by having this discussion with my husband they will begin to renovate that area or do away with it entirely and put the animals up in true healthy spaces. We had gone with the intent to get ice cream and hang around but left after realizing that we could not in good conscious give our money to this place unless they do something significant to improve the animal living conditions.
Their ice cream is the best you can get here. They have a nice variety in big family packs for a nice decent price. The golf area is pretty neat too.
We get our xmas tree there every year! Nice trees, good prices, and will secure to top of car.
It looks like a nice place but the animals are not taken care. It's smells really bad and the animals look sad. We didn't feel right here at all.
Plenty of outdoor space to encourage social distancing. Inside the store was a little tight.
"It was pretty good". Covid-19 precautions were fine. Workers weren't going to extreme lengths for safety but always felt safe where ever I was in the facilities.
Had fun, good ice cream. I hope they get gluten free cones in the future for my son
Great ice cream and mini golf. Don't do Waterfront Adventure, play discovering America. That's the best mini golf option.
Good ice cream and a fun te playing mini golf with the grandkids. Busy today due to the great weather. We'll be back!
Great Ice Cream!
But I'm unhappy with the way the Animals out back are penned. None of them have sufficient room to move about naturally! I'm not even sure the Peacock has enough room to spread his tail!! Please do the humane thing and expand the enclosure's or relocate to a proper facility.
Great ice cream, can get items from Lancaster such as September Farm Cheese and pot pies without driving all the way to Lancaster.
Always fun, playing mini golf, delicious ice cream, batting cages, ice cream, driving range, and did I mention they have ice cream??
Freddy Hill is a great local place to go for both homemade ice cream and family friendly mini golf! The courses are both full 18 hole mini golf courses complete with scenic landscapes and interesting features. The rest of the fun center is complete with both a full size driving range and seven batting cages. So whether you want to practice your swing, enjoy some delicious ice cream, or just have some quality fun, Freddy Hill is the place to go!
Literally the best ice cream on the planet!! I have been coming here for 30 years and it never gets old. 2 super fun mini golf course, batting cage and some free range golfing. There are no more animals to see sadly. But lots of benches outside to sit and enjoy your sweets. The workers inside with the ice cream are always so lovely and on point! It's always been a well oiled machine. Thanks for great ice cream and amazing family fun for all ages!
This place was not fun. The lines were long. The water was everyone. The place was crawling with bugs. The water was disgusting and the overall integrity of a lot of this place looked like it was about to collapse. The animals were kept in very small cages and some were hostile towards people. This place is bunk. Never. Again.
Great place to take the kids on a fall day. Amazingly delicious ice cream year-round!
The BEST ice-cream in the area! My kids like the bating cages, but I'm more for the mini golf personally
My husband and I just were there, got ice cream, sat down inside to eat. When we went outside we decided to go look at the farm animals. OMG!!! Every pen was a disgrace! Dirty! It was hot and hardly any shade for these poor creatures! The doe was shedding and her fur was all mangled and dirty! The buck was painting and drooling from being over heated! The ox was laying on his side from being over heated too! I will never go back there to purchase anything!
This is a fabulous place to take all your family members to play mini gulf and eat home made ice cream
