Wish they would bring Swamp Romp back. Was not impressed with The Taco Festival. Was expensive, and small portions! Loved the Latina music, though. So festive! The Fraze is a fun place, depending on what the activity is.

We were at a concert this past summer and the guy running the stage lights got mad when I whistled. I was dumbfounded when he told me I couldn't whistle. At a concert. Outdoors. I have seen several great bands here but the people in general are rude and not very friendly. I had my Michael Kors purse with me and lady at the gate said I couldn't bring it in. We were not parked close at all. The lady said to walk back and put it in my vehicle or I could "stuff it under a bush." Needless to say, I will not go back. Ever.
Nice outdoor venue. Prices have crept up lately but always good bands, good sound. Beer and wine is available, idk what's up with all the reserved seats for general admission shows fun atmosphere!
Visiting from Nashville to see family and attend a concert of a friend of mine. Apparently my purse, which is small and worn on the back, counts as a "bookbag" and I was rudely told to either leave or take it back to the car. Living in Nashville, I go to concerts weekly in some of the most famous venues in America, so I know security rules pretty well. My bag is called a "fashion purse" at every venue, and I was just explaining that venues like Bridgestone Arena, Grand Ole Opry and Ryman Auditorium must have different definitions of bags. Apparently that counted as "talking back" so she radioed a security manager who followed me and my mom at a distance back to the car. I got mad and walked down the road to wait on my mom, and that security manager approached my mom and asked why she was not walking back to enter through the same gate again (because I had walked down the street to another gate). This security guard then followed us both to the other gate and inside. So apparently saying anything to the security besides "yes ma'am" "yes sir" counts as a disruption and warrants a security guard following you around? I was upset, disrespected and felt targeted. They took it too far. Will not be back.
Outdoor theatre, beautiful place for an open air concert. Seats 4500, with assigned seating, and lawn seating. Really not a bad seat in the place. You can't bring many things inside, but we were able to "sneak " some bottled water in. Beer, cocktails, food, whatever, sold inside. Real nice place!
I'm from out of town but this park is very similar to one in my town. Went for the Bacon fest. Great time and nice people. Just needed more venders selling just bacon.
Went here 8-4-18 "REBA" . Very nice venue, friendly staff. Easy to get in and out of. Food and drink prices are fair. The seating is a bit tight, always bumping the people beside you. Overall a great experience, we look foward to future visits.
Unless you get seats up front then you'll be exposed to the elements especially the sun until sunset. There's no parking lot other than area businesses and a church lot. The sound system is great.
Well-maintained outdoor venue with a seating area near the stage, lawn seating behind that, and grandstands in the back. Concert sound quality was great and the venue provided a large but intimate concert experience.
Food was fair I noticed they pick and choose who can come in with big purses and bags other vendors couldn't sell drinks because the venue wanted to sell their high price pop and water for $4
This was a really cool little venue. Not a bad seat in the house and even thought the concert was pretty packed I never waiting in line for a drink or the bathroom. Great setup and great staff!
The only reason I would consider giving the venue more stars is because it truly is a cute place, and it's kept very clean. Other than that I have a HUGE complaint:
The security policies are absolutely ridiculous and the workers take themselves way too seriously. I travel all over the country and visit LARGE amphitheaters and stadiums for different concerts, and I have never seen people so strict or rude. I completely understand policies like "no backpacks" and what not, and I understand that these people are just trying to do their job, but come on. My purse with all of it's contents in it WERE within the size constraints, but when the security person made me take my poncho out my purse flattened out and went over the 12" constraint by a half inch. So I purchased one of their clear plastic bags for $5 and put my purse into it, and IT FIT! They wouldn't allow it. No matter how much I pleaded they wouldn't let it in, and they made me walk all the way back to my car. Who says you can police what I put in my 12x12x6 clear plastic bag? I wasn't breaking any other policies and I wasn't taking in anything on the prohibited list. Seriously - what am I going to do with a 12.5 inch purse that would cause a security threat?! Please use common sense and be cool.
Not to mention - I saw people with zip-up blankets that were WAAAY over 12 inches. Couldn't you call that a purse? How is that even fair???
It makes me so sad to give this place a bad review. I love that it's so close to home, and I like I mentioned it really is a cute venue. Please consider easing up on your policies and teach your employees to use reasonable judgement.
This was one of the best outdoor venues I have been to. Dayton has a great thing in Fraze Pavilion. We went to see the band OAR on a Tuesday night we drive up from Cincinnati and were pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and appearance of Fraze. Food and beer tents, a beautiful fountain, and best of all, not a bad seat anywhere to watch the show.
The Fraze Pavilion is a nice place to visit it's outside. The lines go quick, even bathroom lines for women go quicker than the men's line. It's set up really nice. I give it a 10
I had an absolute blast on Tuesday seeing I Love the 90's here! I loved that there were plenty of restroom stalls so I was able to run to the bathroom quickly and get back before I missed a whole song. It's open and comfortable. Drinks were quite high but I guess that's to be expected at all venues these days. I spent $22 on 3 margaritas and a bottle of water. I didn't mind spending a bit more since it was such an awesome place. I definitely plan to return.
NEVER GO HERE IF YOU ARE HANDICAP. YOU WILL PAY FULL PRICE TO SEE 100% OF NOTHING. 186$ FOR NOTHING. TO GET STUCK IN A CROWD AND SEE NOTHING. IF YOU ARE HANDICAP DONT SET WHEEL OR FOOT IN HERE, SAVE YOUR MONEY. on a good note the staff if very sweet.
Drinks and prices were great, but for a table of 15, or food was served randomly to our guests, and over the course of an hour instead of all at one time
This place sucks Will never go again. Hopefully the new person running the place is intelligent the last was only interested in money. Not good management at all.
Always have enjoyed the shows here. Lawns seats are pretty decent if you are there early. Pretty venue... sometimes the line to get in can be frustrating... could be more efficient.
The City of Kettering, Ohio has an amazing concert venue, The Fraze, which hosts a wonderful variety of music throughout each summer, but also hosts numerous non-music related events. One which happens late August annually is "A Taste of Kettering". A not-to-be-missed culinary event that brings numerous local eateries to The Fraze, each has a booth- all spread along a picturesque path in the park area just outside the concert area. Thoroughly enjoyed our evening strolling & savoring each bite!
Best venue ever! The worst seats in the house are still fantastic and the quality and variety of artists coming through are superior. Try it. You'll be hooked!
Nice park like area. It is an outdoor event place for concerts. They have a lawn area as well as bleachers I. The back and regular stadium seating towards the front. They also have a concession area for your typical drinks and food. Overall had a great time!
