Visiting from Nashville to see family and attend a concert of a friend of mine. Apparently my purse, which is small and worn on the back, counts as a "bookbag" and I was rudely told to either leave or take it back to the car. Living in Nashville, I go to concerts weekly in some of the most famous venues in America, so I know security rules pretty well. My bag is called a "fashion purse" at every venue, and I was just explaining that venues like Bridgestone Arena, Grand Ole Opry and Ryman Auditorium must have different definitions of bags. Apparently that counted as "talking back" so she radioed a security manager who followed me and my mom at a distance back to the car. I got mad and walked down the road to wait on my mom, and that security manager approached my mom and asked why she was not walking back to enter through the same gate again (because I had walked down the street to another gate). This security guard then followed us both to the other gate and inside. So apparently saying anything to the security besides "yes ma'am" "yes sir" counts as a disruption and warrants a security guard following you around? I was upset, disrespected and felt targeted. They took it too far. Will not be back.
