Frasca Food and Wine Review

Everything was spectacular. The food, the drink, the service, the venue, it was all great. They even answered our strange questions about alcohol terms and descriptions. Nothing but good things to say.

I have eaten at many big name restaurants with awards that they flaunt and celebrity chefs that rarely step foot in the kitchen. Frasca is not that place. Don't get me wrong. Frasca has a long list of awards for its staff, service and food. They however are amazingly humble about what they do. The experience of dining here should not be missed.

Frasca is amazing. Authentic Italian cooking -- they use amazing ingredients and let the flavors of the ingredients speak for themselves. Wine pairings are always fantastic as well.

We really love the food here it was so good and it was always be. Outstanding food with top notch service! You will not have a bad meal at Frasca, and on the off chance that something isn't quite right, talk to you server and they'll have you taken care of before you can snap your fingers.a

Fantastic food and dining experience. Our group did the four-course menu and everyone loved their meal. The gnocchi and bass were my favorites. The wine list is very extensive, offering options from all over the world. Italian wines are featured, and they have a great sommelier to assist with unfamiliar options. The staff and service are great. They were attentive and informative, and kept the evening moving along flawlessly.

From the first moment you step in that restaurant the waiters give you a comfortable feeling. Very friendly hosts, it is a happy restaurant to hang out with friends or with your date. delicious food, experienced chef, modest cost and professional service. Highly recommended.

This restaurant is simply amazing. It s the best restaurant I ve been to in Colorado. It s also a great place for a special occasion dinner. My wife and I went here for our second anniversary and enjoyed every course and the wine pairings. The presentation was also incredible as you can see by the pictures.

The service is also exceptional. We will definitely be coming back soon.

The absolute best dinning experience I have ever had. I've been twice and both times requested to sit in the kitchen. It's great being able to talk to some of the cooks and sample other creations. Every course I've had has been exquisite. You will not be disappointed with anything!

My wife and I went for an anniversary dinner, and we both really enjoyed it. Top notch service, great -- and very interesting -- food, in a very pleasant atmosphere. It's worth the price if you're interested in paying for perfection. We haven't been back, and I doubt we'll go more than once every few years, given that we can accept slightly less than perfection and eat elsewhere 3-4 times as often for the same money, but we don't regret the visit in the slightest.

We live in Denver and are huge Tavernetta fans. We were excited to head north and try Frasca (the mother ship). The setting was great and the service was attentive without being fussy or overbearing. Jeremy did a great job on helping us with our wine pics and the food was outstanding (big shout out in the venison and quail and I could have eaten five loaves of the sourdough focaccia). We loved. Every course and had a tough time deciding what to order. Bobby Stuckey s wife Danette was helping out last night and you could tell she wanted to make sure each guest had a great experience. Well definitely be back.

Food is truly top notch taste, presentation and creativity. The ravioli was out of control delicious. However the food portions were far too small for a $250 meal for two. We had a snack after we got home. I would recommend this place for people to check out for a special occasion but will likely not repeat for the value.

Frasca is by far the best fine dining experience I've ever had. The food, wine and staff provided a fantastic experience that will definitely be coming back to enjoy in the future.

Pricey, but worth every penny if you're looking to immerse yourself in delightful dishes. The wait staff are all incredibly knowledgeable and accommodating as well!

From the food to the wine pairings to the staff, no detail is overlooked. True perfection. Each server is kind and knowledgeable. Our glasses were never empty and our plates - delicious. Lots of vegetarian / pescatarian options and the chef was very accommodating. Wine list was extensive, thorough.

Had a phenomenal first-time experience here this evening. Enjoyed a special prix fixe menu arranged for Valentines Day weekend complete with wine pairings. Each course was thoughtful, unique and exquisitely delicious. The table service was some of the best I have had the pleasure to experience. We were fortunate enough to get a tour of the kitchen. I was astounded at how emaculately clean and organized the heart of the house was. Despite being the peak of the dinner rush the staff was cordial and inviting and proud to show off the kitchen and their work. A world class experience all around, looking forward to my next opportunity to dine at Frasca.

My wife and me had been wanting to go to Frasca for quite sometime, where we finally decided to make reservations for our anniversary. When we arrived we were seated quickly and immediately met by one of the wait staff. We decided to go with the seven course chefs menu, with the wine pairings which turned out to be an excellent choice. Every dish was well cooked, seasoned and presentation was great. In fact their concern for the quality of the food was so high, when we didn't completely finish one of the plates they made as fuss, actually comping us for the plate. We actually thought the dish was cooked well, just a large proportion, but they were insistent that every part of the meal be perfect for us. The wine pairings were perfect and it was obvious their staff spent a great amount of time to find the best wine to compliment each dish. The staff was superb and highly attentive, and very knowledgable of the menu and wines. The attention to detail was amazing, even the coffee had an added touch. Their concern for a perfect experience was seen through everything. Overall this was one of the best dining experiences ever for both me and my wife.

Fantastic overall experience, exceptional service, exquisite food. We just moved here from NYC and I d say this rivals some of the best Italian places in the Big Apple. Personally, this is by far the best we ve come across in Denver.

Pleasantly surprised at the exquisite atmosphere and food!

Where to begin with our outstanding experience at Frasca Food and Wine in Boulder, Colorado. In our opinion this could easily be one of the top fine dining spots in all of Colorado. Huge, huge, huge shout out and thank you to: Bobby and Brent for taking such good care of us. We were sat slightly after our reservation time (because they are so busy/amazing/awesome) and they went above and beyond to show us extraordinary time. The food is off the charts, amazing flavors, we had some extras sent our way that were out of this world! We did the four course meal and were tempted to lick each plate clean. Nothing but fantastic things to say about the food and service at Frasca in Boulder - the excellent level of cuisine is paired perfectly with high-end, fine dining service (coming from a couple who lived in Vail, Colorado for 5 year and worked in service industry).

Great service. Food not so good. Funky food combinations that just didn't work. Fish was chewy. Waited years to eat here and was truly disappointed.

Ambiance was ok, staff was incredibly attentive, but for $400 for 2 people and a bottle of wine the food just wasn't anywhere near that caliber. We had high expectations for this restaurant, but was just too average for the premium pricing.

We tried the tasting menu with the wine pairing. Extremely disappointed in the flavors of each taste. The food was not creative. Bland and safe. The service was very robotic. The speech of each course along with the wine pairing speeches were spoken as fast as possible, no interaction with our table. It was hard to swallow the $1500 tab for our table of 6. I would not recommend this restaurant.

Best dinning experience I have ever had. The lamb ragu, gnocchi, and quail were done to perfection. We let the Som do the wine pairings for each course and she couldn't have done a better job. I will be back and soon.

This is one of the few fine dining experiences I have had, but can easily say it is the finest, by levels and levels. My Bay Area dining companion who is much more finely find than I agreed whole heartedly! The service is friendly and personal and perfectly timed, present and knowledgeable but hardly overbearing. Of course, the food and wine are both of our of th this world. Please save up your dining out moneys and treat yourself and a special someone on a special occasion to this experience, you will not regret a single penny! And you must do at least half-glass wine pairings, you won't regret that either!

Everything you want in a dining experience: great food, excellent service, knowledgeable staff, good decor. They started my group off with a complimentary wine taste as we waited for our table. The menu had a cool personalization for an occasion we were celebrating. The sommelier really knew his stuff

The owner even came out and saw us out after our meal! I thought that only happened at high end Japanese restaurants. (Side note: onodera restaurant employees and chef all come outside of the restaurant to see you out and bow, literally makes you feel like royalty)

Bobby Stuckey has put together one hell of a show in the best Restaurant in the United States. I love eating there. The Sommelier is really good and will find you a wine that fits your palate. He is humble too. They always bring you a complimentary wine when you arrive. They wait on you with the greatest care.

You will not be disappointed. Bobby and the team are fantastic.

Great service and delicious food. We went on Monday and tried the Monday tasting menu. It was a great option for us since everything looked so good on the regular menu that we hard a hard time selecting what to order! Having the tasting menu allowed us to try a good variety of dishes.

Best restaurant in Colorado. These guys REALLY care about food and about the experience. They are all about the little details which sets them apart from the rest of the high end restaurants in Colorado. The chef is a true talent. He makes even the simplest things out of this world. If you haven't been - go.

I eat a lot. I'm in culinary school. I didn't know food could taste like this. Staggeringly beautiful restaurant with unbelievable food and precice, wonderfully kind and knowledgeable staff.

Wonderful experience! Went here via recommendation from my boss for our anniversary. The service, food, attention to detail, and overall experience is nothing short of perfection. Expectations are met and exceeded for the price. The entire staff from owner to bartender are extremely friendly and professional and they make you feel right at home. Definitely recommend for any special occasion. Will be back soon!

I'll start off by saying the service was absolutely incredible. The host, server, and various other employees we interacted with were incredibly welcoming, helpful, and had awesome attention to detail.

That being said, the food was really quite bad, especially at this price point. While the presentation was quite nice, the taste of the food was often quite bland with textures that missed the mark. Our salmon entree didn't taste like anything at all and the risotto was way undercooked. It was honestly really disappointing as we've heard great things about Frasca.

Perhaps we just came on a bad night but the food was bad enough that we probably won't come back again.

Beware. They do not honor gift cards except for in person dining. As of late June 2020, they did not mention this. When I tried to use the card for take out, they said they would not honor it. They followed up with a "Don't worry. It is valid forever." In these days of widespread restaurant closures, that was cold comfort. They were very polite while grabbing the money.

From start to finish the team at Frasca did everything to make our meal special and memorable.

Frasca offers a special dining experience with interesting cuisine from the Friuli region of Italy. We had the Quattro Piati menu and everything we had was very good with the exception of a somewhat pedestrian salad.

Every entree I got to taste at Frasca Restaurant was perfectly prepared and unbelievably delicious !

We only had wine here, at the end of the night. The place is upscale, the ambiance is elegant. The wine menu is 70 pages long with superb choices. Friendly and well trained staff. I ll definitely come back here for dinner. Be ready to spend $150 (wine included)

By far one of the best restaurants I've visited in 2019. The four course tasting menu is a must; don't pass on the bone marrow; it was divine. From the moment we walked in, the staff was attentive and friendly; they provided us a glass of wine as we waited for our table to clear. They also provided snacks. The restaurant is worth the visit to Boulder.

Warm, inviting and tranquil atmosphere. Excellent and authentic Italian food. Food and service are superb. Worth a side trip to Boulder to eat here, if you fly through Denver on your way to Vail or Aspen.

The premier fining dining restaurant of the Front Range delivers in all respects. Intimate atmosphere, knowledgeable servers/sommeliers, and of course fantastic food and wine. Their vegetarian accommodations were just as generous and delicious as the non-vegetarian. Worth every penny.

Came here for a birthday and was pleasantly surprised. One of the few fine dining establishments that doesnt come off as overly pretentious.

we sat at the bar. The bartender was condescending. We were charged $28 for two small side salads ( about $1.15 per leaf!) The wine was great, but I was charged for a full glass when given only half a glass. We noticed that others were offered a choice between butter and olive oil, but that choice was not given to us.

Everything was outstanding, the whole experience from the moment we walked in the door. The service was great, the food was world class. This restaurant truly deserves a Michelin rating.

Excellent service; wines were top notch, and apart from some undercooked tonnarelli, so was the food. The tiramisu was particularly noteworthy. Prices aren't for the faint of heart, but a lovely evening highly recommended.

The Good: Frasca is undeniably GREAT! I mean, the James Beard is on the wall, hello! The services is wonderful and I appreciated the attention to my reservation. Frasca was running a little behind on having our table ready, which I was completely okay with, however, they went above and beyond by offering us complementary wine and snacks while we waited. We fell in love with the wine they offered and was given a detailed description of its origin. All of the food was FANTASTIC, but the mushroom fettuccine was INCREDIBLE! A simple dish that immediately transported me back to Italy.

The Not So Good: The ONLY reason Frasca isnt getting 5 stars from me is because after our dinner, we felt a little rushed. I know our reservation was at 8:15, however, we should have been able to really enjoy our final thoughts and not felt rushed out. After we received our final dish, we were given our check right away. I noticed other tables were offered post dinner chocolates (maybe this was with the pre fixe menu) and post dinner cocktails and coffee options. We were offered nothing, just the check. To make it even worse, once I paid, the waitress came and picked up the check in a hurry. HUGE, HUGE, HUGE pet peeve of mine and not what you would expect from a James Beard awarded restaurant. It started off great and ended on a dud, unfortunately.

Overall, great restaurant, great food, great front of the house and management, lackluster wait staff (for our experience). I would 100% give Fresca Food and Wine a second go.
