Not worth the price. Our waitress was very nice and friendly. The food, however was average at best. I had crab fettuccini which tasted like crab in noodles with butter and nothing else. My wife had the sizzling half crab plate which was legs only and closer to a quarter crab as well as being over cooked. Definitely don't bring the kids! Kids menu was extremely limited, four items total. You are basically paying for the view.

Got the crab pasta dish. It was very meh. It seemed like buttery pasta with a bunch of crap sprinkled on top. Literally no flavor. The crab was fine and there was a good amount on the dish, but that's why it's 2 stars. Overpriced average crab with some butter pasta

You are in fisherman's wharf, you have to visit this restaurant, with a lovely view it is the perfect combination with the food, it has a flavor that is delicious, the prices are very accessible and the attention of the staff is super friendly and quick.
Try the crab cream is a delicacy and the crab cakes are very tasty.
Enter you will not regret price and quality in harmony.
It is also a place where great characters have been, so it helps to be part of the story ...

We were initially told that the wait was 25 minutes. After about an hour we asked what was going and we were talked to in a dismissive way. A family of four commented that they were waiting for "only" 35 minutes when we notified them that we've been waiting for over an hour. When the family was chosen to dine ahead of us, we asked for the reason. The employee insisted that they were waiting for over an hour, when they clearly had told us that they haven't waited as long as we have. We waited for a total of 1 hour and 20 minutes until we got fed up and left because they informed us there was only 1 more group ahead but three groups have gone beforehand (including a couple of women who came after us). The wait would not have been that stressful, if the employees actually looked like they cared. When we returned the buzzer, the employee did not even look up or apologize. The wait sometimes cannot be controlled, which we would've tried to understand if they were at least respectful.

Poor service relative to the prices on the menu. We were initially seated in a very drafty location. The hostess very begrudgingly moved us to another table just as our meal came to the table. Rather than bring our food to the new table the hostess told us to carry our food ourselves. Really!?!? Once our meal was over I asked to have the leftovers boxed to go. The server brought the boxes to our table and just upended the plates into them.

Classic San Francisco Fisherman's Wharf restaurant. The place hasn't changed in decades. Cool art deco styling and big sweeping windows that have a panoramic view of the bay. As the name suggests they specialize in crab which is prepared in a wide variety of ways. There is also seafood and steak for people who aren't crab eaters. Full bar.

Simply amazing - truly outstanding seafood and fantastic service. Busting at the seams with customers yet they didnt miss a beat. A must do restaurant when in SF. The crab enchiladas are special, and I recommend the skillets - go for a combo!

I ordered garlic noodles and chicken, the food quality was horrible. My boyfriend ordered crab legs and it was disgusting. Very little meat and flavorless. Service was average at best. Asked for lemon for my water, never was brought, had to request a crab leg cracker, our server never asked how the meal was. Don t waste your time or $$$

It was an experience for sure, but an all good experience. The host, the food, the service, the speed, the temperature (hot foods on hot plates, cold foods on cool plates), the portions, the price to portion ratio. If your looking for much more than seafood you should eat somewhere else. Although they have alternatives available, it's a simple menu with amazing and well created recipes. It's not expensive but is pricy. 2 people will spend 75 to 80 total with no desert. You will be satisfied.

The food here is good, not as good as it's prices would lead you to believe, but good. It's a novelty though, great location. If you're not affraid of a huge bill, you'll have a great time. I left very full and happy, but a couple hundred bucks poorer.

We always come here to enjoy the view. Service here runs hot or cold obviously depending on your server. Overall we have had good experience. The three stars is for the food. Not so great this time around. We eat here several times a year. Again, we live the view. But may start looking for an alternative.

Great food and service. Did the prix fixe menu and was going to do the salad for my starter until my wife slapped that idea right out of my head. So I went with the chowder. Thank God. That chowder was amazing the consistency was perfect, then with a dash of Tabasco and the bread for dipping I realized that was all I needed, until they brought my main course out. I did the Basa in the cioppino sauce. It was flawless and melted in my mouth.

It's hard to give out a 5 but this place is dee lish. I had the slow cooked tenderloin and My God it was so tender. My wife had the seabass cioppino and loved it. We also had the calamari app. Everything was very good. A must try for newbies to the area. Also O loved the draft.

The food was good; however, the service was terrible. It took along time for a waiter to take our order and then it took a long time for our food to come (three adults, all ordered soup and one kids meal). We also ordered coffee which didn't come until after we finished eating. No one checked on us during our meal to see how things were going or if we needed anything. After we finished we asked for the check, waited a long time and then asked again. The waiter's response was "I gave it to you." He hadn't. We told him. He argued with us and then finally went and found the bill (not on our table because he never dropped it off to us). Of note, it was not busy and waiters were standing around chatting while we were there.

Arrived as a twosome at 3:15 on a busy beautiful Saturday. Sat immediately but I would warn if you're a party larger than 4 you may have a 20 or 30 minute wait. The octopus carpaccio was excellent and we had oysters and a large crab split between us. Food was excellent, topped off with a great capuccino and cheesecake for dessert. I'd call this a romantic setting, with a quiet meal despite the popularity. Carlos was a great server BTW. Really enjoyed chatting with him. Great experience all around.

I was with my family, end of 2019. Too bad it is temporarily closed, now that we were thinking of visiting it. Excellent place, views and formifable food. We will be back soon. Successes in the reopening.

One of the best places I have eaten in San Francisco. The restaurant is located on the sea, with a splendid view of Alcatraz Island. Friendly atmosphere and very kind staff. The food is very good, advising, of course, to take the crab. The account is in line with the service offered, also considering the location of the premises.

The food is fresh. My goto is the fish sandwich made from all white fish, made fresh to order. They also sell crab sandwich, chicken strips & calamari. The fresh oysters are also an excellent choice along with some clam chowder soup.

Considering this is a tourist area, the prices are very reasonable and affordable. You get a good amount of food. Most items are $10.99 or less.
