Four Seasons Resort Bahamas Reviews

Big disappointment. Could not check into room until 5:30. With Kids first dinner reservation available was 8:00 and then we did not get food until 9:30. The resort made reservations for us the next night a Nobo and when we arrived it turned out they had messed that up and we could not get in. Ultimately you need to give twenties to the Hostess to get dinner, which is absurd given how much you are paying. Lunch took hour and half to get after placing an order. Of course they include tip so you are tipping after waiting an hour and a half for your order. Huge relieve to get off the resort and go to local restaurants that provided good service. Really sad, Costs a fortune and not worth it. This place used to be nice bit has really gone down hill.

Just pure opulence and peace. Must visit if you're on Paradise Island.

Just outright beautiful, the views the rooms everything is 5 stars. i didn't want to leave!

Had lunch at the Dunes.
At one point there were 11 staff members in our vicinity yet not one was assisting a guest.Long wait for the entrees, no service attention during that time. Had to get the servers attention to request another glass of wine. Very poor in attentiveness more likened to the Atlantis and that s terrible!
Not at all the level of service that is normally associated with a Four Seasons property.
Need a boot camp training program in customer service and quickly!
Management needs to wake up and pay attention.

Breakfast should be a lot nicer for a four seasons resort. Service was good but can be a bit slow at times. Lovely resort, facilities and we had a great time here.

We visited the Ocean Club for our 10th anniversary, and it was a great experience. The service from the staff was exceptional, the grounds and beach were very well maintained, our room was fantastic, they accommodated every request we made, and the food at the Dune restaurant was really good. The only constructive comment I can make is that the bathroom water had a slight sulphur-like smell, which I think is somewhat common in the Bahamas. I'm not sure what the cause of this is, but other than that, our vacation experience was perfect.

I've never seen such blue water as there. Breathtaking. The hotel is a spacious park with villas.

A far cry from what you would expect from a Four Seasons' experience. The place could definitely use a major remodeling (battered furniture, window frames and wooden blinds, bathrooms showing their age) and could certainly up its game on pest control (our room had ants everywhere).

The worst part of the experience is the service, though. Unless you tip generously every single person (and I mean this literally - your butler, the folks handling chairs and towels at each pool, the people handling beach equipment and towels, the housekeeping staff that makes up your room, the one that does the turndown service, the one providing bathroom supplies, the coffee service folks, etc) after every single interaction you have with them (again, I mean this literally), expect to be mistreated in every possible way - from being completely ignored at best to receiving rude replies to your requests most times.

I usually tip (and I like to think I do so generously) at the end of my stay, based on the level of service I receive. Until I realized what was going on, I suffered through my room not being made by 4pm, staff not providing any towels at the beach, snorkeling equipment being all gone by 8:30am (?!) and a long list of etc...

Bottom line, if you think you ll be getting Four Seasons quality service at a paradisiac setting, think again... you ll get the latter, but definitely not the former.

Good place to stay with an impressive beach descent and a very nice pool. The meal menu is fine.

Excellent property, fine dining with wonderful ambience

We booked hotel room 6 month ago and I specifically mentioned to do Birthday slice of cake for surprise special dinner a month in advance, which is they had the info written. Stuff at restaurant rude and cocky. They are in advance add to bill(which is illegal) 15% service charge and do not even provide proper excellent service.You have to take that thing out.Inside the hotel room food super expencive, as taxi drivers said,please try to eat locally , by supporting local community, bcs at expencive hotels as Atlntis or this one(which is one comp) money goes to S.African owner investor.Well, we would do that, but taxi was costing $20 to get to town and we werenot sure if food was good quality, so we won't get sick.
We liked the property. For 1k at night, which is crazy, we we expecting at least nice private pool or jacuzzi outside.Would I reccomend this place, yes I would.Would I stay there again? Not too sure. I think is over priced and 15% service charge without asking us, driving me to the roof. Not cool.

Cabbage beach is wonderfully quiet in the afternoon. Although the surf was rather wicked the week we attended.

We enjoyed ourselves here - relaxing in the hammocks was highly enjoyable. No one bothers you and you can fall asleep to the sound of the surf.

I used to think this place was the tops twenty years ago..however...years later it seems small and extinct. The elderly reading newspapers in the lobby was not a fun sight.
The bar was crowded. However a few birds dropped in and an elderly gentleman was feeding them on his table. I thought even though it seemed cute it was quite dirty .
Its an era that was and is no longer.
No life there just dried up people living in the past.
Not recommened unless you love seclusion and quiet ...in that case, go for it.

I only passed through on my way to DUNE, but I hope to come back with a book so I can enjoy that Fantastic view of the ocean and take in that salty sea air with drinks, yes drinks. #enjoylife

Gorgeous setting with elegant accomodations this is truly a top of the line resort. Magnificent views of the ocean with incredible sunsets, beautiful sandy beach.
The restaurant and bar overlook the panoramic setting which is truly enjoyable with one of their signature cocktails.
Unfortunately I was not a guest of the hotel, but from the looks of the grounds the villas and staterooms much be amazing.

Amazing location, by far the best on paradise island. Grounds are beautiful and very well maintained. Top notch staff are very friendly and attentive. Food is great. Most importantly you don t feel overwhelmed by people as you would at Atlantis. We would go back in a heart beat.

The resort is Beautiful. The staff is amazing on every level. I would give that a 5 star. The only thing I would have them modify is the food. It needs more flavour. I understand it s hard to accommodate & make everyone happy but some flavour to the dishes & spices would be wonderful. The fries should be real made from real potatoes (which the staff was so wonderful to provide when I asked for that option). Especially given we re in Bahamas & there are no native exotic fruits available. It s melons, berries, grapes which we can have here back home, all year round. Would have loved to have some fresh coconuts, passion fruit, dragonfruit, etc. by the pool. It s my new yearly vacation spot but would love to have some more flavour & fruits to the menu

A little piece of paradise. Secluded on the island with a pristine beaches, great restaurants, and wonderfully personal service.
Be mindful that island life is relaxed and slow moving. Servers don t hurry around. They take their time but they get the job done. Have patience and you ll get the most of your experience.

Amazing place with unique Versaille Garden. Amazing king-room with fantastic view, food are delicious in restaurants. Cleaning service in room was not very well done, nedeed to ask about shampoo, balsam, etc, also saw several times hair on the floor. Some staff not kindly at all, especially women on reception, nobody waiting you when you arrive and also when you leave is nothing, just stone faces. Recommendation from hotel for dinner one time was absolutely awful about restaurant Luciano Chicago. What a awful, ugly place. Staff absolutely not nice and not kind at all, on table they was put paper and view nothing (in hotel said - amazing view).
This hotel working not like others Four Seasons and this is pity.
Mine expecting was more then I had in reality. Anyway now I know what is Bahamas and how work there Ocean Club (I couldn't call Four Seasons).

An Amazing Upscale Gem located right at the water, where you can watch the sunset over dinner. Expensive but worth every penny. Best sangria we've ever had.. If you don't like to spend money, this is not your restaurant!!

Stayed there 2y ago, still miss it every day. Totally going back. Great service and quality. Exquisite cocktails and food.

Absolutely awful experience! First, we were supposed to have an early check-in. They knew when we were arriving because they picked us up. This was around 10:30 am. We were told to hang that the room was in queue and it would not be a long wait. So we grabbed some lunch, around 1pm we checked back with the front desk and the room still was not ready. We were told just wait it would not be long. 3:30pm the room is still not ready and the manager Patrick was apologetic. We finally got to the room at around 4pm. The outlets did not work, the toilet was broken and the room was dark and dingy. It was supposed to be a luxury ocean view. It was not!. There was supposed to be a butler - no one ever showed up. Finally, we were so frustrated that we decided to leave and stay somewhere else. We both work very long hours and had a short time away. They knew it was a special occasion and they did nothing about it. Patrick the manager was so apologetic, he said I have arranged a car to take you wherever you want to go. Sure enough we finally get to the next hotel and to add insult to injury the driver billed me $100. Truly 2nd rate service!

After watching the bond movie, I knew I had to visit it. No regrets, it is better than the movie! The service and the views will drive you delusional. It is located in a small piece of land which is connected to Nassau by a bridge. The real essence is having the best possible relax. If you want some noise, the Atlantis is close enough ;)

The rooms, facilities, and grounds are top notch. Especially the beautiful and stunning gardens. Some staff are absolutely great, and others could stand to be more cheerful. But overall this is a fantastic place. The best of the public Bahamas resorst by far.

The hotel is breathtakingly beautiful, the rooms are large and spacious. The facilities- swimming pools and central restaurant are excellent! The access to the beach is convenient and very organized.
The only drawback is that management\reception staff aren't helpful at all, and have a very low awareness to service, and it surprisingly not suitable for a hotel like Four Seasons. Beyond that all the other staff are very helpful and willing to make your experience perfect.

Here is the skinny on this property. Gorgeous views, unbelievable beach, pool overlooking the ocean is great. The rooms were nice as one might expect at this price point. However, if you are expecting Four Season's service i would absolutely dial back your expectations. They run on island time plus 5-10 more minutes. I realize the pace of life is slower and i typically account for the rhythm of the island attitude. With a few exceptions it seemed to me we were just in the way and nobody had a pep in their step to make things happen for you. Now, I know what tentative and great service looks like but this is not it. i can name several other Four Seasons properties and Ritz CArlton properties where the service is impeccable and timely. I could give you more details but it would just look like sour grapes. Many missed opportunities to shine and I will leave it up to each individual to decide if they are ok with what they offer.

After Casino Royal I rented an Austin Martin and tried to re-enact the scene. I think it was a scene so often re-enacted that the staff was getting bored.
The lake view takes your breath away. The green in front of the villa too ...

Gladly again ... if my employer gives me a VIP vacation again.

Wonderful property, service similar to that of a Comfort Suite or Holiday Inn! Would not stay here again.

Amazing experience all around. The personal butler was such a great touch. The food was great.

the prices are very high, especially when you get a very small room, very dark, with a bathroom as small as the room ,and which was renovated maybe 20 years ago.Add to that that the room is located on the restaurant patio ,right on the entrance of your room , opened for dinner,so you have the noise and music till 11PM .

Nothing is included ,no breakfast, and dining is quiet expensive .

Maybe that's the way it should be ,if they are able to have so many customers ,dumb enough to pay .
does it worth 5 stars ?? Not for me .
If you insist, you may get an upgrade ,and that is a very different story...But are you going to a super vacation to fight ??

Magical place. Everything were perfect. Special mention to the short dark skin hostess (forget her name) she was faboulous.

What an amazing experience. We came out with our company for presidents club and the service here was over the top! Very quaint and personable. The rooms were on point! Highly recommend.

Cost too much for the lack of service and attention to details. Wait staff were disorganized. Food was okay but not worth cost. It's obvious they are selling the view which is awesome.

Awarded a company trip here. The property was stunning and immediately relaxing. The location on the beach was perfect. Rooms were gorgeous--we've stayed 5 star before, but these rooms were in a class of there own in comparison. The lobby artwork was a treat. The service was not as attentive as we are used to with 5-star hotels, but it may be because we were on a company trip? Don't know that I would pay the steep price to stay here, but it was an amazing experience.

This isn t the cheapest place on the island but it is, without compare, the best service you ll receive. Everything was 5 star. One day they were late cleaning our room which was slightly inconvenient but they had a formal apology along with milk and cookies waiting when we got back from dinner. The Dune restaurant is over the top good with the squash soup, the lamb and lobster probably being the highlights but I m splitting hairs because everything was so good. We will definitely be back!

It is a place for adults who want to relax and spend a few quiet days.
