Thoroughly enjoyed the play - beautiful cosy theatre - you defiantly want to be in the Stalls for The Woman In Black! Beautiful Art Deco theatre, probably my favourite theatre venue to date! Team were all friendly and service was swift.

My bestie took me to see Woman in Black for my birthday. I had watched the film and really enjoyed it.
The theatre itself was eerie and slightly cold, it gave you a slight chill down your spine, a perfect setting for a show like this. Very intimate and creepy, old looking theatre. The seating we had was at the top but we still had a good view of the stage although not the ground seating when the woman walked through.
The show itself was amazing. Quite different from the film. Starting off with Arthur Kipps and the actor acting out Arthur's experience in Eel Marsh House. I personally think it was interesting for only two actors to take on the entire performance but that did not make the performance any less great, in fact I think it made it even more interesting to see what they did with the performance. Some parts did take a while to get into but when it did get into it believe me you will jump out of your seat. The freakiness of the quick movements out the corner of your eye and the suspense made me hide behind my eyes and cover my ears and I do enjoy a horror film or five.
I thoroughly enjoyed watching this show and would recommend any who loves a good theatrical performance to come and see it.
The new show the woman in black was good and immersive but there was an absolute overuse of jump scares, along with using the same sfx particularly the cart crashing, this let down this show.
We went to see The Woman in Black here. A very quaint and lovely theatre. The show started off rocky (for my personal taste/preference), but went on to be one of the best theatre shows I've seen! The Fortune Theatre was a great location and easy to find! The staff were friendly and welcoming! The drinks prices were a bit pricey, but standard for London, I suppose. Would definitely go again and certainly recommend!
Amazing i had such fun at the theatre we went to see the womon in black tones of jump scares serves alcohol and slush puppies for kids. Sorry have no photos as i did not want to desterbe the show.
Old but charming theater that shows the riveting woman in black well worth the money and time. The only thing I would suggest is getting a ticket in the stalls or on the first rows of the upper decks.
Amazing, intimate theatre. Able to pre order drinks for the interval. Lots of snack options. The show was acted by only 2 actors and kept us at the edge of our seat
Watched the Woman in Black here. Quite a small theatre, especially given the size of theatres showing other West End plays. Seating was comfortable with decent leg room, but the rake is quite low.
Good theatre saw women in black was very good!! Staff were very friendly and helpful, although if you sit at the front of the dress circle the leg room is a bit tight if your tall.
Saw Women in Black here. Great little theatre. Helpful and friendly staff. Drinks were a tad expensive but most likely "competitive" in the context of the West End.
Small, older theater where you could feel the wings of history. We saw Woman in Black and I can really recommend it, a ghost story for adults, perfect at that theater. Do not choose places on the upper circle if you have a tendency for height fear.
I saw The Woman Black at this Theatre. The theatre itself is tired looking inside and would benefit from redecoration but the show I saw as a mattinee was extremely well performed. I would recommend.
Admittedly I am more a popular musicals fan (i.e. Les Miserables, Wicked, Lion King etc) than theatre. However, I got a discount off getintolondontheatre for their annual Jan-Feb event and decided that The Woman In Black was the one I have heard the best about and bought tickets.
I did not know anything except that this was a ghost story (my mum had watched it years ago) but was excited to see how they would portray phantoms in theatre. This play did not disappoint, I was engrossed in the story, which was easy to follow. It was amazing how they could have only 2 speaking actors (and a ghost), made use of very few props and relied on sound effects to scare the audience.
For the first half of the play I was constantly scared and was hiding behind my hands, but since the interval I think the sudden screams, big noises etc was a bit repetitive and although the rest of the audience were still screaming all the same, I personally thought it was a bit overdone by that time.
Still, I would say that this play has a very simple storyline, was told in a very interesting manner and worth a watch if you wanted a good scare as entertainment!
As a last comment on the venue itself, they had a very impolite ice cream lady who was quite rude to guests, there were 3 ladies' toilets only and the one I went to had only two stalls resulting in a long ladies queue outside during the interval, the stalls seating otherwise gave good vantage on the stage.
I also didn't like the fact that the theatre let guests in 20 minutes after the play started meaning my whole row had to stand up to let two people into the row while the play was running (there was a very short 3 second curtain where they let these two late guests in)
Theater is great - small and intimate but seats are a bit cramped. Views are generally good. The play I saw, Woman in Black, was rather pointless and dull. A 20 GBP ticket really doesn't help much - would rather pay more for a better play.
A very nice play. It is both comic and scary at times. Thoroughly engaging and keeps you glued to the end. I would definitely recommend this show. It is so nicely done
Tiny theatre. Seating pitch awfully small. Very intimate so it is great for watching the show. I don't think there is a "bad" seat in the house. The woman in black show is for a required taste. Acting was good.
