Forte Restaurant Review

Meals are made quickly and the service is great. I always order extra to take home. Can't get enough of Forte.

Authentic Italian cuisine ......! baked lasagna al forno....excellent.....Pizza is good also!!

My family held a memorial dinner at Forte in the banquet room. The service was impeccable, the food was outstanding in quality, quantity, and flavor, and our event was truly comforting to all and honoring to our family member who had passed away.

I highly recommend Forte for in-house catering; they do an excellent job at almost half the price of high end venues. Their banquet room is not very large; our group of 70-80 completely filled it, but it works for such smaller gatherings

Pasta is always perfectly cooked. Everything is always fresh.

Never say down and eat but all the takeout I've had from here is on time. Form the pizza,salads, eggplant rollatini all of it fantastic.

Good number of choices but just slightly better than so-so taste

The food and the staff were amazing. The pasta in a bread bowl was so good! A must try! The only thing that wasn't good was the coffee at the end of the meal.

Forte Pizzeria is one of the best pizza places in New Jersey. There penne alla vodka pizza and white pizza are both awesome. The only place with comparable penne alla vodka pizza is Bella Note in Little Falls, New Jersey. The staff is friendly, you can also sit down and have lunch or dinner in the dining area. And, when you are done, you can go to Gelotti's which is about 20 ft away. All in all, if you haven't been to Forte Pizzeria, you haven't tried the best.

Forte has excellent food. We are never disappointed with the quality of the food here. It can be a little pricey at times but it's worth it. You definitely get what you pay for. The veal saltimbocca is outstanding as is all the other menu offerings. A little piece of heaven on Bloomfield Ave. Keep up the good work. Delivery is always fast and the delivery guy is always polite. A+++++++++++++++++++++

The food was delicious but most of all I appreciate the kindness of the staff. My child fell asleep in the car on the way and they brought my order out to my car so I didn't have to wake him up. While it may of only been a few steps for them, it meant the world to me! Thank you!

Came in at 1pm to order two cold subs. After waiting a little over 20 minutes for my to go order i had to interrupt the 4 counter people taking about video games to get my order from the back. Asked for no oil or vinegar on my sub. Got oil, vinegar and balsamic. Hate balsamic. The other sub was supposed to be only oil and vinegar but got all three on that one too. Thanks. Never again

Good place overall. Reasonably priced menu with lots to choose from. Staff is very reaponsive.

Pizza is delicious but giving them a three. Due to the fact that I watched an employee cut a regular pizza with a pizza cutter and then watched him cut my gluten free pizza with the same cutter.

Great place for a NY slice of pizza. Many choices for a slice. Friendly staff.

I dream of these specialty slices! This is arugula, sun dried tomato and fresh mozzarella! I also love the buffalo slice and teriyaki. Great for casual eats with friends and BYOB

I arranged for Forte to deliver several trays of food for a gathering. The gentleman on the phone was extremely helpful. The delivery man was very accomodating. The order was on time and accurate. The food was amazing. All our guests raved about it. I can't say I would have changed anything. Thank you Forte.

This place is awesome. .. from the staff to the food and drinks. The bathrooms are clean.

Always loved this place, I work nearby so I go for lunch at least 3 times a month. Always my go to if we need anything catered and it s always enjoying when going out to dinner here. The staff is exceptional, owner Tom is super friendly and helpful. May seem a little pricey, but it absolutely is worth it, the food is so good. As an Italian, I know good food. Their tortellini in brodo is one of my favorite dishes. Their chicken fingers are great, Thai chili chicken pizza is another one of my favorites. Everything you order is delicious! It gets packed but moves quick, a crowded place is always a good sign also.

My wife and I have eaten here many times not one time did we ever had a bad meal this is our favorite Italian restaurant when someone asks me for a good Italian restaurant my number 1 suggestion is Fortes trust me on this I m Italian and I love good Italian food And there service is great!!!!

Hands down one of my favorite pizza places of all time. Staff is really friendly and their Thai Chili Chicken pizza is my favorite slice I ve ever had! Still go outta my way to go there even though I don t live in the area anymore.

I ve seen a steady decline in the quality of their food since before COVID-19 my delivery tonight was sour eggplant rollatini absolutely nauseating and a burnt cold pizza
delivery came very late called and complained which I ve never done before sent me out a different dinner but forgot to leave the pizza
The driver left the food at the door and took off I wanted to give him the spoiled dinner that was delivered wasn t able to because he wanted to leave quickly he didn t wear a mask for the first delivery I always tip at least five dollars to the delivery people will not be calling there for food anymore it s very sad It used to be so good I would always get trays for the holidays

You can't go wrong over the years I think I've probably ordered almost everything on the menu every family member has eaten here every single one of my friends probably can't even find somebody in the general area that doesn't know about Forte's. Veal parmesan sandwiches out of this world spadini is great and the grandma pie is amazing not to mention the penne vodka

Forte's in Caldwell is always the best! They have the best square grandma's pizza!!

Fortes sucks honestly my girlfriend had a ceaser sald from there and the dressing tasted and looked like well you know s***. Ridiculosly over priced $3.16 for most slices. NO free refills and the portions are huge which is good but the price is a little high since they just load everything with chesses and gravy/sauces. The owners and management are very rude and honestly seem to not have a care in the world if there employees start fighting right in front of customers poor customer service not enough seating overall my expirience there was terrible probably never going back those of you who like to just grab a slice or to or a sandwhich and go should try pizza and sandwhich barn friendly people, unique inside and food is made quick and your breaking the bank just to try and get something to eat

Helping family in NJ n someone recommended this place for take out 5 days ago n I've been there 3x already.
The food is that good n priced reasonable.
4 stars bcuz twice I ordered dinners for take out n both times I had to ask for plastic utensils. That should be an automatic thing to either ask or put in the bag. Had I not checked, I'd be eating lasagna with my fingers. Lol

Good food but the prices on their website don't match what they charge, it wasn't the first time, after 15+ years I won't be back...sorry!

we love this place! its a bit far from us but we still make the drive to have their custom pizzas and entrees. they used to have a great veggie lasagna but that's been off the menu for a while. yummy food, decent atmosphere, sometimes they mess up the order so double check if you're doing take-out

The eggplant parmigiana dinner is delicious and a large portion. A great place to eat.

After reading the reviews I decided to try this restaurant and the reviews were right. Delicious fresh high quality made to order classic Italian food. The Chicken Parm was the best I've had. Even the little details like the side of pasta was cooked to perfection with a tasty tomato sauce like mom makes. But beware....the dinner portions are beyond bountiful.....one serving is enough for two people. I'm a fussy eater but this place gave me absolutely nothing to complain about. Very impressed.

Very good Italian restaurant with pizza and a full menu of choices. We had a very nice lunch and the Chicken Marsala was delicious! Fresh mushrooms made it even more tasty!

Went here for my birthday and was very impressed. We sat outside which was very spacious but probly one of the last weekends cause getting colder out. Excellence service from everyone. Food was amazing I had zappa di pesce and how can you go wrong with calamari. Food menu is excellent and price is what you would expect with fine dining. Overall I would come back again.

For my first time here, I did not know what to expect. Having attended for my grandfather's 95th birthday, the party room was incredible with decor and the food was delicious in big portions. I'll certainly be back to try..u their pizza next time. By the way, our server Luis was attentive to our needs and ensured good was impeccable.

Stopped here for a nice outdoor lunch after dropping our daughter off to college. Large menu with a wide variety to choose from. We enjoyed everything we ordered.

Excellent taste no matter what you order. You can also modify the dish to suit your meal preference. The take out is almost as good as eating at the restaurant
