I rather deal with them on certain cases then Fpl but honestly sometimes they do maintenance and don't contact you to let you know which is inconvenient for anyone. The people who work there are sweet and very helpful for the most part.
Customer of three years, Late One Time with payment. They have $225 deposit on me, I had a banking error that occurred on a Friday. On Monday I went to make a payment, at 10am and by noon they turned off my power in degree heat with my newborn. They told me that it would be back on 6pm, I have dietary needs and my child could have died in my house. I had no where else to go, no family in the area. They serve predominantly low income households, the elderly, and lots of children. My bill randomly doubled and they blame me...They don t care period or investigate anything.
We need FPL , we need to get rid of fort pierce utilities. Every month is 500.00 a month. Now next bill is 749.00 a month.. all I know is where is fort pierce getting the power from if they torn down the plant years ago. I bet they are buying it from FPL and reselling to us. We need to start a petition people

Horrible. If you call to report any type of problem their automated line automatically hangs up on you. Gas leak? They hang up. Electrical outage or lines down? They hang up. Water emergency? They hang up.
Trash.
IF I COULD GIVE ZERO, I WOULD!!!! My bill was not even a full 24 hours late as I got paid on Thursday, the day after it was due. I have never been late on a payment to FPUA. I went online and paid my bill the day I got paid which was 2 hours BEFORE they opened that day. That same day, they printed a CUT OFF notice and mailed it out. I am signed up for PAPERLESS and never received an email about said issue. 3 days later, I receive the cut off notice in the mail, go back online and check my account and it is reflecting past due. I check my bank account and low and behold, the payment I made has been deducted from my account. So you take my money and then tell me my payment is still past due to get more money?! WORST UTILITIES COMPANY I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH! I would rather move back to Lake Worth and deal with Lake Worth Utilities Authority over FPUA.

Now that my new bill has come out, its HIGHER each month!! I have kept my AC and light usage the EXACT same since I moved in. Yet, my bill keeps getting higher and higher. This company is a rip off
This company is horrible! They will bill you for a month that hasn t even came in yet! These utility companies are crooked, especially in the summer time. They don t even come out to read the meters, they just estimate it! How can you bill me for September and September isn t even here yet! I wish there was a way to stop this kind of madness

This is the biggest most racist scam in Fort Pierce. They only service minority or low income neighborhoods. They get power from fpl and double the price when they get to you. Anyone who has fort Pierce untility always gets a $400-500 light even if you barely use. On top of that Fort Pierce utilities blocked Fpl from building 400 power lines in low income communities. Obviously to keep the greed and scam going. If I m wrong then why do all the Middle and upper class communities get Fpl. They already have money and they get regular price electricity. These communities blocked fort Pierce utilities from coming in. Ask your self why would upper and middle class whites block fort Pierce utilities? It s because it s a huge greedy scam. Oh I forgot to mention that they re super greedy scammers and they re all going to hell for bringing more suffering to low income communities..
I have been with FPUA for 5 years now. Before that FPL. Not sure why rates are high for some folks. Since being with FPUA these are the lowest rates I have paid in my 30 plus years in Florida. With FPL my bill was always double to triple what I am paying now. After Matthew power restored in 12 hours. Irma 2 1/2 hours. I understand it all depends on the damage done to the lines, but still very pleased with recovery time. Keep up the great work FPUA!!! Thank you!

I think Fort Pierce utilities does a great job. I've had them for 26 years. They work real hard through all the Hurricanes and all the outages.
They called out Davey Tree to cut the limbs on the wires. And Davey Tree gets 5 Stars also for an incredible job that they did and the kindness of the workers. Good experience for many years.
Web site is very confusing!!! I m on autopay and I had to change my email address. Looked for more than an hour but I didn t go to the right place cause I got a pink slip not once but twice. Terrible terrible system.moving to

The worst utility in the country. Customer service is horrible. I tried to pay my bill ahead of schedule and it took me 45 minutes to just get through the phone system. Once I did reach someone they were just nasty. Who ever is running this company should be ashamed and fired now.
Don t ask for help or request a callback because it won t happen. And if power goes out at night be sure to call to report the outage ASAP since Ken waits for the call before dispatching crews. FPUA really should sell to FPL then maybe we would get good solid consistent professional electric service. Until then let s all hope for the best!
