Great place for the family to learn about KY history and relax & play.
Really getting run down. Kinda looks like a ghost town.
Great place to stay great Park to take your kids to and have a picnic
The place looks great the Upper Park is clean they got a nice big swimming pool built up here but it saddens me to see the riverbank the beach and the old building in such disrepair I remember coming here when I was a kid I'm being able to swim at the river.
So sad how the state of ky has let this place just go. So many memories here growing up now just ran down. So so sad ky let this happen
Great place if you love history. People and staff are very friendly. Low cost, for a great look back in time.
The battle reenactment was very well organized and I can't wait to go back!
Nice people. Wish they didn't mow so often hard to enjoy surrounding with hum of mower. Over all good stay.
Lovely experience. Filled with so much history and intriguing for all ages.
Lots of old stuff and I just love historical places
Fresh water more than 40 feet away. Had to set trailer that exit was in the mud. Due to bad drainage when raining campsites flooded out. No rain nice Campground and amenitys.
RV camping done right. Its usually crowded, but for good reason. Easy in, easy out. The store has what you need.
Beware of all the children running around when you bring your haul in.
What a nice, beautiful park. The park was very clean, well maintained and great for history enthusiasts. The fort was sho grand from the outside, however the inside was closed for the season.(bummer) But we will definitely be back to check it out during operating hours. The park was about 5 miles off 75 south and was do easy and convenient to find. There was a pool, that was also closed for the season. The dam was small but very interesting to see up close. There was a nice play area for children, and lots of area to run and play.
This is our most favorite campground! We stay here at least twice a year. Was just here for 2018 Boogey National Car Show.
It was nice, clean and very quiet at night.. we rented a tent space. Camped. Grilled, bomb fire. Very nice get away
Great place to camp. Bathrooms VERY clean. Lots of things to do. Only downside I could see was the amount of people, very large campground, but everyone was very respectable of each other.
Perfect park with pioneer village, family friendly campground, and beautiful trails.
Very interesting place , makes you think how good we have it compared to the settlers.
Very affordable price , nice gift shop, friendly people.
Nice area for walks. It has a beautiful Park area and camp ground.
We enjoyed the pool and look forward to coming back with more time and better prepared to take advantage of the picnic shelters and grill.
I love hiking they have some nice trails nice for a day trip for hikers
Stopped here 15 min before closing on a whim. Was a pleasant little village with activities. Would like to return when it's in full swing
People who work there could be nicer to the visitors who pay good money to learn about the history.
Isn't that so Kim. We must have met the same person.
We had a blast . Cooked out... Went swimming..hiking.... kids loved it. .. awesome waterfall beautiful park
My sons signed up and paid for a blacksmithing class at fort Boonsborough. They were denied entry to the class because of their age. The website said nothing about age restrictions. We have not received a refund for the class or compensation for the 125 mile one way trip.
Great place to take the kids. I loved the ax throwing demonstration.
Nice park, very pretty, nice bath house! We're here in December and many things are closed (like the Fort!), but the people here have been very accommodating for the few of us here. Would come back again
