Forest hills care center Review

Very clean place. And all the staff are great From the Day shift to Evening shift they are all well trained and good people.

The ONLY reason I am giving this facility two stars is because the staff members of the facility are truly IMPECABLE. Dedicated, determined, and overall wiling to do anything and everything to get my father back to the way he was before. Mari contacted me after my father was in the hospital and needed rehab care she was amazing and gave me everything I was promised. Even provided me with updates from the moment he walked in the door. Tatiana & Lawna were also incredible they were constantly answering all my questions and took time to check on my father daily. My father came to the first floor, transferred to the second and then to the third. This was mostly due to COVID as they needed to quarentine and I understood. The nursing staff on EVERY floor were incredible. They were just so patient and thats not something you see in the world today. The rehab team was coming to the room everyday and were attentative and when my father did not like the food Alina, the dietician did her best to accomodate him. Mark, the recreation leader catered to his every request regardless the time of day. It was all but a joyful experience.

There is only one complaint, the DIRECTOR OF NURSING. The Director of Nursing's name is Satwinder Bal. This woman is the WORST person the facility has working there. Not only was she rude to me countless times but the way she speaks to her staff members is nothing short of HORRIFYING. I have stood at the front desk to drop off food and clothing for my father and I have been witness to her yelling and screaming to multiple staff members in the hallway. Not only does she scream but she overall belittles them. Please be mindful that my father was sitting right in the hallway watching this unfold before his eyes and even he reported the incident to me later when we spoke over the phone. When she realized that I saw her she quickly walked into one of the offices and closed the door behind her. I have tried to reach her regarding my fathers condition but she always send me over to the Administrator or the Assistant Director of Nursing, both woman which are great and helped me with everything I requested. The Director of Nursing refuses to speak to me and tells me that the Assistant Director is better to answer my questions because she rounds with the supervisors, so then if shes doing all the work what can you possibly be doing ALL DAY LONG. Its truly sad that a great team has such a horrible person at the top. After witnessing her be so mean to not only myself but also people who are actually helping the building run smoothly it blew my mind. She is the rotten apple of that wonderful facility, getting rid of her is the best thing they could possibly do. You'd think a woman who is leading a healthcare facility could have more compassion and understanding for all humans.

The staff here at Forest Hills has been great to my husband and I. They were very helpful throughout his entire stay. The staff here was easy to communicate with and never hesitate to perform any task that were asked. Thank you to Nurse Sliver, Joanne, and Yoni for all that you guys have done. Along with the Nursing Director Ball, who was so nice to my husband and I.

JayJay, the Physical Therapist was incredible. He always sent me updates of the progress that husband made at the end of each session.

The Recreational Director Mark was so sweet and had a joyful spirit from the very beginning. He made it easy to trust that my husband was in good hands.

Maria from Administration made life there simple and comfortable for my husband. She ensure and guarantee my husband the accommodations that he needed.

Ed, thank you for always making sure we had transportation going to and from his doctor appointments.

I can't say enough good thing about this place. My mother enjoyed her time here and the staff went above their duties to make her comfortable and get her back in shape. Everyone was pleasant. My mom will definitely miss being there..The PT and the OT was top notch. I plan to come back and volunteer in the near future. Katrina Duncan

This place is the worst! It s run by incompetent people who could careless of you or your family. They don t call family members for weeks. They never reply back to any emails or phone calls and on top of it they charged me twice for copays and luckily we caught it. They love to steal your money and couldn t careless about your family member or what they need before leaving rehab and coming back home. Don t waste your time or money. Find a better place!

I would like to thank Forest Hills Care for the care my mother received. After suffering a stroke, my mother was receiving rehabilitation at Forest Hills Care for three months. The therapists and nurses were very knowledgeable, kind and caring and took good care of my mother. Everyone knew my mother by name and took the time to get to know her. I would like to thank Shantel and Judy for all of your support. Your kindness and knowledge made a difficult time and process go much smoother. And my mother enjoyed the food!!

I truly felt the nurses were caring and supportive. They tended to my needs as well as caring for the other residents. The place was well kept. The aides were also very attentive to their patients. In particular is a Ms. Tate of evening shift and the nurses aide Sandra, both of which made me feel comfortable in my stay at FHCC. Thank you
