My wife and I made a reservation through a hotel concierge who recommended this restaurant. We were very disappointed. Service was very slow although about half of the tables were not occupied. The food was very salty in general. There were not much taste because of so much sodium. I would definitely NOT come back.

Best Spaghetti AOP ever ! I had the spaghetti AOP here on my first visit and since then everytime I come to Chicago, this is the first meal I have. I have only tasted this main course, so cannot comment on the rest of the menu, but the spaghetti is to die for - even writing this review makes my mouth water !
Superb service with authentic Italian dishes prepared to make you imagine you are eating in Tuscany.. Classic and elegant dining where you don't have to shout to be heard I have been eating here for over 20 years.
Well worth a try! The space is a little snug but honestly the food is so amazing, real Italian food. Make sure you make a reservation if you are interested in coming in, place gets pretty busy.
This used to be one of my favorite places, and I typically enjoyed bringing guests and co-workers. However, the last time I went, my guests and I dealt with cold food and an increadibly rude staff that was eager to kick guests off of their patio. Disappointing to see this place slide.
I've since taken my groups elsewhere. Too many options in Chicago to put up with poor service or food.
Went here on a Tuesday night with a party of 3 at 8pm and was seated right away, although almost all of the tables were full. The food was delicious, the staff was attentive, and the ambience was nice. I would suggest ordering an appetizer because our food took a few extra minutes than expected. Otherwise excellent.
Good food, great for actually, but louder environment than I'd have hired. We went with a group of 7 and had a hard time talking the full length of the table. It worked out ok, but I was surprised by how voices just carried in there.
Every single thing on the menu looked delicious but we had to go with the soppressata pizza and it was the right call-- the perfect amount of spice and so flavorful. I could have had two. I also had a Romano cocktail which you can only get there and I highly recommend.
Great location and wonderful food. Have been here a few times now during lunch and am always happy with the food and service! The prices also match the quality, I am sure you won't be disappointed.
This is an informal place to its sister location in River North. I enjoy coming here for lunch for their salads as there isn't another place like it in the area.
Very tasty food! The meatballs as an app were excellent. It was like a little meatball salad. They brought complimentary bread and olive oil (of very high quality). We shared a pizza and carbonara pasta for our lunch. Both were excellent and generous portions. Very attentive service.
italian food, my favorite treat. Don't worry if it's busy, it is worth the wait. This place has a great feel to it. Kinda of like a restaurant in Los Angeles I liked to visit.
Cute, quaint Italian restaurant with a large menu and great service. The atmosphere is quiet and relatively casual. Nice selection of wine to share, great place to go with a group. I had the potato gnocchi and it was delicious!
The food here is delicious. I decided to try out the duck breast and it was extremely juicy and flavorful. The waiter was also always checking up on us. Will definitely be coming again!
Great selection, really lovely food and wine list. Appetizer portions of pasta are available all times of day so you can have a taste of several styles!
My wife and I took her cousins to dinner there last night. The ambience is pretty laid back, but at the same time somewhat sophisticated. The bruschetta was excellent and it was great that there were so many different options. Two had the pasta, one had the soft shell crab and I had the veal. The food was really fantastic, while the service was above average. Would definetely go back again.
ADA w/c accessible by entering door through building lobby. small lift takes you up about a half flight into restaurant. Food was good. Cozy atmosphere. Wait staff very attentive.
Beautiful and charming restaurant with impeccable service. Feels like a nice Italian bistro. Their spaghetti AO keeps me awake at night with cravings for this spicy lucurious dish. Highly recommended. Move from St. Clair to Ohio.
Had a wonderful rehearsal dinner there for 60 people. The waitstaff was friendly, food was delicious, wine was good, everything went smoothly! The service was a tiny bit slow, but I understand how difficult it is to prepare meals for 60 people at once.
The hostess was the best part of our visit. She gave us a great table and was very kind. We ordered two cocktails which we felt were subpar flavor-wise. Ordered two appetizers which happened to come out at the same time as our main entrees which was off putting. Suddenly we had four dishes at the table. Bruschetta was burnt and not the selection we had ordered. The steak was bland and flavorless, but still the most expensive thing on their menu. We realized very quickly that we were not going to enjoy finishing our meal. I was charged $16.00 for plain rigatoni with butter and garlic. The bus boys were efficient but often intruded your personal space and were difficult to request things from. The manager was nice enough to remove the steak, but our mediocre food still amounted to $85. Was looking for a romantic, relaxing night in Chicago but instead got slack service and overpriced mediocre food.
I used their website that is comes up when I search their restaurant and I ordered lunch... turns out it was a scam. Their website on here is fake. Then when I got to the restaurant to pick up my food, the manager was so rude and would not honor my order. He refused to even listen to me when I said he needs to do something about this fake website and fake order online page. I am sure their food is good, but I do not support local businesses that are run by rude people.
My wife and I lived in Chicago for five years and visited frequently before and after that time. A special treat was always dinner at Coco Pazzo. For the price, ambiance and food it can't be beaten
We had a great dining experience here and will certainly be repeat customers. We were seated promptly upon arriving at our reservation time and served by a very gracious waiter with a thick Italian accent. The appetizers were not especially comment worthy, but the main dishes were very good. Given the small footprint of the restaurant, I was pleasantly surprised with how open it felt.
Overall, the wait staff and the ambiance made this experience for us. You can expect to pay about $30 per person for dinner here, but I'd say it is definitely worth it.
This has been one of my favs since circa 2000. The new location is much nicer. Menu is very reasonable priced, good wine list and much easier to get in than Coco pazzo proper. The mussels are to die for as is the gnocchi and vangole. Oscor great server and manager oon the ball with warmth. A must try!
The service here is lacking and the food highly oversalted, even the salad. We were having to constantly ask for things and when they served incorrectly, they actually argued with us. The pasta was really delicious but fish and chicken inedible because of saltiness. There are too many choices in the city and we won't go back here.
Atmosphere was a little stuck up and the food was really bad. I ordered the chicken and it was poorly seasoned and about 1-12th of an inch thick. The olive oil was bland and tasted cheap. My waiter was nice and attentive.
The food was excellent and the service was even better. It was such a lovely restaurant, with delicious and unpretentious food. I would highly recommend the carrot soup. I d never tried anything like it before, but still somehow tasted familiar.
