Flair Salon and Spa Review

I love getting my hair colored by Karissa H! I ve been a client for many years and highly recommend her. She is an Aveda graduate and stays up-to-date on new hair color techniques. She s done amazing work on my hair when I wanted a lighter look. Recently, she used that same artistic creativity when I wanted to keep some gracefully soft & natural tones. The salon is inviting & stylish. The prices are reasonable. I ve had several cuts there as well and have been very pleased.

Karissa is AMAZING. My hair has been blessed by her magic for three years and she never ceases to blow my mind. I get so many compliments, both immediately after a balayage and after several months of growing it out (just a testament to her blending magic). She is patient and kind and will take your ideas and inspiration and tailor them so that they are perfect for you. Honestly cannot recommend (and thank) her enough!

Rachel Fitzgerald just became a stylist at this establishment. She is the bomb! She has been my stylist for over 10 years now, and I wouldn't let anyone else touch my hair. She's the best!

Very unhappy with my hair. I was recommended to this salon but the stylist I wanted to see was not available. When I called I was told Mauricio was good, but he did not do anything close to what I asked for. I m so unhappy with my results.

Lara and Mohammed are inspiring. They are also the best in the business. You're hair is theirs. In other words, they treat your hair as if it was their own. You honestly can't find this kind of genuineness anywhere else. Since both Mohammed and Lara have exquisite taste, their salon is incredible. Check it out. You'll be SOOOO glad you did!

This was my second time at this salon and seeing Karissa and definitely wasn t the good experience like I first had. The first time I left very happy and thought I found my girl! Then I saw Karissa again (I still believe she is very up to date on trends and techniques) but I left unhappy this time and we can t see eye to eye so therefore $365 later I have to go somewhere else to get what I want. I was clear that I didn t want to go somewhere else I just want to get the hair color I asked for and I believe she can very easily do it. I understand you can t duplicate pictures shown but I think based on similar hair color you can get close. Plus when the picture was shown there was nothing said about not being able to achieve the look I wanted. I sent pictures to my two brutally honest best friends and they even said it doesn t even look like my hair was done. It s very disheartening that I can t go back for a color correction- we now live in a world where customer service means nothing. I was told if I want that exact thing I should see that stylist that did that- I guess I have to drive to Dallas then. I also get moved to another stylist for a blow out and I think that s part of the problem- had the same person that colored my hair dried my hair maybe it would be easier to speak up before leaving- but I was hoping it was lighting and I was already there for 5 hours (actually a little longer bc there was a appointment time mix up also). I will be contacting the owner to try and get maybe a portion of my money back, but I m sure that s a long shot.

Caitlin is wonderful! She is very knowledgeable and helpful. She takes her time and gets to know you. I always enjoy getting my hair done from her.

Karissa is extremely talented in what she does! She gave me the best color ive ever had! If you're looking for balayage she's your go to girl! Shes such a sweetheart too!

I had Alysa. I requested a bayalage for my dark brown hair that had never been colored or highlighted before and the my hair was totally overprocessed and ruined on the ends. I don t like posting bad reviews for one person but I chose this place for the great reviews because I was so terrified of this very thing happening, and it s probably because no one else who got a bad color job put the truth up here. So I hope this review helps to save someone s hair!

Lara and Mohammed are the best in the business. They have done my daughter's hair since she was 12. (She drives from Austin every 3 months to get her hair done by them.) They recently started doing my hair and I have never been happier. I can't believe I haven't listened to my daughter and gone to them sooner. She was right when she says they DO care and will treat your hair as if it were theirs.

I highly recommend this new, beautiful boutique! Take it from the person who has gone to everyone. Literally.

I have followed Rachel for several years now and I can honestly say that I won't let anyone else touch my hair. I get all sorts of compliments after a trim.

Rachel has a talent for picking the perfect style for a face type. One of my friends visited her last month feeling kind of down and a few hours later she was prancing around the neighborhood showin us all how great her hair looked.

I can't say anything for Flair itself just yet but I promise you that I'll be visiting Rachel there for as long as she has a chair.

Love this place! I get my hair colored by Dee and hair cut by Ruth. They make me feel amazing when I leave. Very very experienced employees here.

I have followed Lara for the past 16 years. She started out at a Salon on the south side where I lived and when she moved to The Woodlands, I made the drive. When you find someone who knows how to cut naturally curly and wavy hair, it is worth the drive. I now live in Kingwood and still make the drive to The Woodlands. Love the new shop, great customer service.

Yesterday was my first experience at Flair Salon, and let me just say that it absolutely blew me away! The Salon is so stinking cute! The receptionist- incredibly friendly. Atmosphere is just great!

Hair- I saw Karissa, who is like a balayage magician! Seriously! I can t even begin to express the happiness I feel with my hair now. She was able to transform my ever so dark eh hair into this beautiful multi toned blonde hair. I m still in disbelief that this is really my hair!

Anyways, I could prob ramble on and on about the fantastic experience that I had with Karissa at Flair Salon, but the main thing anyone needs to know is YES...give them a try! You absolutely will not regret it!

Went to Flair because my favorite hairdresser Monica just moved there and I absolutely loved it!! The service was exceptional and the atmosphere was very friendly and welcoming. This is a very high end place and Monica did an amazing job like always!

Karissa Headington is the best colorist I've came across in the 5 years I've been coloring my naturally dark brown hair blonde! She never rushes you, listens to any tweaks you want to make and keeps your hair healthy in the process. And you can't beat the price, trust me, a 4 hour color job in midtown will cost you double what she charges. And she's a good person to top it off!

I've been going to Monica since I moved back to the area a couple of years back. I wouldn't want to go to anyone else! It's so nice to finally have good hair days again! The salon is beautiful inside and just feels very comfortable. The front desk staff is also very nice and professional.

UPDATE: 01/10/2020 Still using Nancy with the same AWESOME results as before! So much attention to detail, and her ability to work with my fine/curly hair has only gotten better!!! I could never go to anyone else....love Flair and the atmosphere there. Quality products too.

Nancy Addington was my stylist and I can't tell you HOW HAPPY I am! I was a "first time" color and was very nervous about doing color on my hair (I'm over 50yrs and blessed with late grays). I didn't want a color which looked unnatural and would require a lot of touch-ups (I'm not a high-maintenance type). Nancy LISTENED to me and gave me the attention and professionalism I really needed. She was SO PATIENT with me - the woman is a SAINT! Best part about it was my husband RAVED about my hair - he LOVED the color and shine and kept commenting for 2 weeks about how great me hair looked!

Nancy will be doing my hair until she retires!!!! Thank you, Nancy!

Karissa did an AMAZING job. She tried her new technique called The Brittany and I feel like a rockstar. It s so much brighter and full of life. She took care of my huge grow out underneath and threw in some great curls!!! Thank you for your service today. I had a great experience. And taking pictures after was definitely a blast!! If you are around the woodlands area, she s a must go see for all your hair needs. She definitely takes pride in the quality of her work!!! Can t wait To see her again in the future!

If you want perfect color that looks natural, go see Karissa. She does an excellent job highlighting my hair to match my natural color which is red. I will not go to anyone else because she does such a fantastic job. I highly recommend her for color.

Not worth the money AT ALL. Staff was not very friendly then I paid a pretty big chunk of change for a 10 mins haircut. Walked out with still prob an inch and a half of split ends. She literally cut a straight line at the bottom of my hair and sent me on my way.

I started going to this salon over a year ago. It is pricey but in my experience a good hair color and cut is worth it. Mohammed does a great job with my color and Jannette does a great job with my cut BUT I have had several bad experiences with other facets at the salon. More than once I have paid to have treatments that are supposed to be left on for 10 minutes and the girls who apply it have come in at 5 minutes and washed it out. I have explained to them if I am paying $40 for it I would like it left on for the full time but every single time it is the same issue. The last time I went there I told Mo I didn't want the highlights as bright and he said they would put a toner on and dim them down. This time the girl who did the washing forgot about the toner and washed and rinsed me and tried to send me out for my cut. I asked about the toner and she realized she forgot. By now Janette was waiting to cut my hair and the girl washing it put the toner on but came to rinse early and I mentioned it hadn't been on as long as Mo said it needed to be. She said it was fine and it was evident she was feeling rushed because she had messed up the timing with Janette. I left with brighter highlights than the time before
Finally, I made an appt for a Wednesday before I had to be in a wedding that following weekend. I showed up and the girl at the desk told me my appt wasn't until the next week. I explained that she was wrong and I had specifically made my appt for that week bc of the wedding. The person who booked me had booked the wrong day. They fit me in on that day and brought one of the colorists wives in to cut my hair who didn't even work at Flair. I left in tears. The cut was awful. They didn't charge me for the cut and they told me the owner would contact me later bc they knew that this was their fault. It's been 4 months. I haven't heard from anyone. As I said above, I think my stylist and colorist are great but the things I've experienced outside of their chairs in the salon has made me feel as if the money isn't worth it. If I pay for Mo to work his magic and it includes a toner to give me what I want then I feel as if I should get that. Sorry Mo and Janette. I know these things aren't your fault but at the end of the day I am still out almost $300 with hair that made me feel like it wasn't worth it.

Mohammad, if you are the owner, you should be treating everyone with equality. Can t believe you judge only by looks and treat customers differet based on the fact if they look wealthy or not.
Do not come to a business where you will be treated depending on your wealth. I will make sure everyone and all review pages hear about how you treat your own customers!!!!!!!!

My first experience at this salon was first class. Karissa is a true artist and took my color vision to the next level. My hair has never looked better, blonder, or more perfectly balayaged! I m hooked and now a life long customer!

LOVED my experience last weekend at Flair Salon. They are handling business alongside COVID very well and keeping everything clean. I saw Karissa, and she was amazing!! My consultation with her was in depth and clear so we were both on the same page. She kept closely to what I asked for based off of inspiration pictures I showed her but still tailored the haircolor to me. It was great because she did a color I never would have picked for myself (getting out of my comfort zone) but it looks amazing. I've gotten so many compliments! I'll definitely be returning! If you're looking for someone who listens and tailors the color/style to you, you will love her!

Excellent hair cuts. A bit on the pricey side for me but probably normal for others.

I ve been going to Karissa at Flair for about 2.5 years, and despite moving for school and work several times during that period, I still go out of my way to Flair because she is just that talented. I recently got a haircut after getting my hair balayaged by Karissa over 3 months prior and the girls working at that salon were all talking about my hair. They thought I had gotten it done that day in their salon! If you re looking for low maintenance hair that stays perfect for 6+ months, I could not recommend Karissa enough.

I had a wonderful experience with Karissa! She knew exactly what to do with my fine yet thick hair and gave me the perfect color. It was a joy to sit in her chair and I will definitely be back. Also, they offered me a beverage which ended up being the best cup of tea I've had in my life.

Caitlin was wonderful!!! I enjoy the boutique styled hair experience and this place has it. They aren't passing out free cocktails (that I know of) but my hair always looks and feels amazing walking out the door. You just have to face Houston's humidity when you walk out.

The stylist - Luz - is brilliant, efficient & very friendly; she loves what she does & her work is excellent!
Creature comforts, time spent, the front desk, other stylists & clientele & all services are top-tier.
The pricing is very reasonable (i.e.: Almost too low for what you get)!
Tip well & it s still a bargain & haute couture.

Nancy is a fantastic hair dresser for anyone who wants a hairstyle that not only fits their face, but style, aesthetic and personality! Nancy is always so attentive and incredibly patient putting fourth 100% to make sure I am absolutely in-love with the results.

Not to mention, Flair Salon has tasty refreshments during your appointment, including freshly baked chocolate chip cookies and assorted beverages. Absolutely fantastic! I have been searching for a good hairdresser for over a year now. Everytime the hairdressers I've been to have screwed up because hairdressers don't take me serious when I say my hair is complicated. (thick and wavy)

Wow! That s all I can say! After taking my daughter to two separate high end salons and spending LOTS of money ( for them to completely mess up her hair) I brought her here and Karissa Headington completely worked magic! I literally cried when I saw the transformation from before and after. She made me feel confident that she would fix it but I never imagined she could make it look this good.
