I started going to this salon over a year ago. It is pricey but in my experience a good hair color and cut is worth it. Mohammed does a great job with my color and Jannette does a great job with my cut BUT I have had several bad experiences with other facets at the salon. More than once I have paid to have treatments that are supposed to be left on for 10 minutes and the girls who apply it have come in at 5 minutes and washed it out. I have explained to them if I am paying $40 for it I would like it left on for the full time but every single time it is the same issue. The last time I went there I told Mo I didn't want the highlights as bright and he said they would put a toner on and dim them down. This time the girl who did the washing forgot about the toner and washed and rinsed me and tried to send me out for my cut. I asked about the toner and she realized she forgot. By now Janette was waiting to cut my hair and the girl washing it put the toner on but came to rinse early and I mentioned it hadn't been on as long as Mo said it needed to be. She said it was fine and it was evident she was feeling rushed because she had messed up the timing with Janette. I left with brighter highlights than the time before
Finally, I made an appt for a Wednesday before I had to be in a wedding that following weekend. I showed up and the girl at the desk told me my appt wasn't until the next week. I explained that she was wrong and I had specifically made my appt for that week bc of the wedding. The person who booked me had booked the wrong day. They fit me in on that day and brought one of the colorists wives in to cut my hair who didn't even work at Flair. I left in tears. The cut was awful. They didn't charge me for the cut and they told me the owner would contact me later bc they knew that this was their fault. It's been 4 months. I haven't heard from anyone. As I said above, I think my stylist and colorist are great but the things I've experienced outside of their chairs in the salon has made me feel as if the money isn't worth it. If I pay for Mo to work his magic and it includes a toner to give me what I want then I feel as if I should get that. Sorry Mo and Janette. I know these things aren't your fault but at the end of the day I am still out almost $300 with hair that made me feel like it wasn't worth it.
