I love taking family and friends from out of town here because it helps them see San Diego from a very unique perspective. I have taken people on both the 1 hour and 2 hour cruise. I have yet to do a more formal cruise, but not for a lack of desire!
They have the worst customer service. I might rate them differently or just stuck with my current rating after I take a ride on their cruise but as of now, I can say that I had the worst experience with their agent. Very rude, unhelpful, doesn t want to help. Just the attitude of a person who shouldn t be on the designation for customer service. I rang up to confirm my Groupon booking with their cruise and he was very curt in his responses. I wish and the management takes this point and have more considerate, calm and welcoming agents in their team. All said and done, my rating and going to change or stay the same after a ride on their cruise.
We did the full bay tour & it was amazing! I always appreciate a tour guide who is very knowledgeable & has a lot of fun while sharing information of what makes a place truly special. I love that there are snacks & drinks for purchase & credit card is accepted. I also love that a picture is taken of you before boarding & made available for purchase. The crew also walk around offering to take any pictures for you. Those selfies can get difficult. Definitely do the full bay tour, but if you have to chose, South tour is beautiful! The price is right, drinks are awesome & the company is perfect! Flagship SD does not disappoint!

We came down for the weekend and was a bit weary on how busy the boat will be. But the crew did a great job cleaning and disaffecting the area. They reminded us to wear masks and practice social distancing. The tour was also pretty nice, learned a bit about San Diego while getting some amazing views. We did the 2-hour tour into sunset and it was best choice. Would recommend and will be doing it again when family or friends come visit!
This company keeps up coming back for more. We have taken several cruises and now the speed boat ! We took the whole family this time around and they absolutely loved it ! It was so great seeing all my kids smile, yell and throw their hands up ! The staff is amazing and makes it so much fun! The music is awesome and really gets you pumped for the ride ! My husband and I went once 2 years ago and this weekend we went back with our 4 kids! Already planning a trip back in the summer for more
This cruise is great for people who either haven't done it before, or are really into Navy ships. Someone reads the heavily researched script of all the current Navy ships that are currently in the bay and of the Coronado Bridge. Snacks, drinks and some alchohol is available on the cruise. Be sure you bring a jacket or blanket during the cooler times of the year, as being on the water is naturally cooler than being on shore and the wind chill can definitely get to you towards the end of the hour or 2 hour tour. If you get sea sick definately take some dramamine. The boats are a decent size, but those who have any sort of motion sickness should plan accordingly. The speed boat in the bay regularly causes enough of a wake to cause the boats to sway just enough get you feeling just slightly woozy. But on a beautiful day with great company, this is a fun little ride.

We took the 2 hour harbor tour and it was great! Very informative. We got a bonus as the USS Theodore Roosevelt was coming into port on our tour. They are on Groupon. We also took the Patriot Jet boat tour. It's amazing what they can do with that boat! Fun times!
It is a great place to sample the San Diego coastal landscape. Going south is good for seeing various buildings and attractions, and if you go north, it will be a forced naval base tour.
Very friendly staff. We got to see some common dolphins which was awesome. Was on the sunset Cruise which was basically a straight shot there and back. We had a large and loud party on board and it was a bit distracting but okay. I DO Not like that they charge more for the front and ROPE it off so when there was an animal sighting you we're able to only love around in the back and sides of the boat.
I took the 2 hour harbor tour. It was a very nice tour and the Captain was very knowledgeable about the area. I sat at the top of the boat at the very back and I had to move because the engine made that part of the boat vibrate alot so I don't recommend sitting there. Otherwise I really enjoyed myself, would definitely do again.
If you take two hour cruise, it will take you to both south and north sides of the bay.
Best boat ride in San Diego. Patriot jet boat ride is great with some sudden boat drifts in the water. In winter, they do some lesser drifts due to cold water but in summer you would get the best experience of this ride.

We took the 2 hour harbor cruise. Friendly staff, entertaining tour with information about the harbor, clean and spacious boat. Enjoyed it a lot. I would recommend this.
Such an amazing tour! We toured both North and South bay and it was breathtaking. The Captain and all the staff were so nice! I enjoyed the narration of all the different sights that were seen. They have light snacks and and a bar Definitely worth the trip!
The quality of service from these folks was fantastic. We boarded the ship on time, the narration on both the south and north harbour was very entertaining and informative. We loved hearing about all the naval ships and destroyers as we passed them by. I ordered a bloody Mary and it was DELICIOUS. Great service by a family owned company.
The cruise was good but we should have researched the harbor possibilities beforehand as it was mostly all about the navy ships. I would recommend to do both as it's more worth the money but definitely the north one was best

What a great tour! The tour guild had lots of great information not only about the whales but also the bay area, military ships and areas and San Diego in general. We found two whales about 25 min into the tour and followed them the entire time. It was great!
Lots of history and information. Not for me, to mild. Majority of patrons were mild aged couple's. They did serve adult drinks and snacks.

My family had a great time on our whale watching tour. We got lucky and saw six gray whales and several pods of dolphins that swam alongside the ship, along with a few sea lions. The ship was clean, the crew was very helpful, and the oceanographer from Scripps had a lot of great observations about the sea life.

We took the Patriot Jet Boat ride that was 30mins duration. One of the best experiences we had as a Family. Our son enjoyed this ride to its full content. The staff was very courteous and helpful throughout the ride experience. They're very keen on your safety. It's an sold out event most of the time due to small batch of riders.

I felt like I was mislead, I called ahead and signed up for a cruise for whale watching because I called the number I read on their advertisement that said whale watching tour. I ended up doing a tour around the bay and wondering why no one had even mentioned whales. The tour itself was just fine, but that's not what I thought I was getting.
Dinner was nice, but certainly not elegant. Waiter spent too much time chatting at a table with 4 ladies. The harbour tour would have been more enjoyable if it had been narrated. We asked about some of the ships and landmarks but were told they didn't know. The photographer (I guess was self employed) never brought our pictures to us and she had left before we disembarked.
Would highly recommend the whale watching tour for just over $40pp. Takes about 3hours and is a good afternoon's activity. The crew were very helpful and knowledgeable. I got to see whales, dolphins and sealions on my tour. You also have to go through the North harbour to get to the open ocean and the guides do a nice commentary of the sights for this as well.
Can also get tickets for the ferry to Coronado from here, which is a nice way to get to that beach. Either a long walk or bus to the southside once you dock on the northside.
Got a Groupon and took my 8 year old daughter on a Father's Day cruise. It was her first and she absolutely loved it. Narration was excellent. Even as a lifelong San Diegan, I actually learned quite a few things I didn't know.
We celebrated my May 13 birthday, and they seated us at Table 13. Cool. My 75th. We had great cocktails, great meals and danced the night away. Ages 3, 22, 25, 50 & 75. We were all having a blast!
They locked the gate early and wouldn't let us into the dock to get on the boat. There were 8 of us waiting and the first mate said he would check with the Captain to see if he could open the gate and the Captain just started the boat and then left us all behind.
My wife and I decided to go on one of their Brunch Harbor Cruises for our One Year Anniversary and had a blast. The food was great, the ship was nice and clean, and the entire staff was very friendly. The only gripe I had was when we purchased the tickets, there was a surprise $30 "Landing Fee & Service Charge" tacked on. It would have been nice for that to be disclosed more properly. Aside from that minor detail, the whole experience was great.
The ONLY way to travel to Coronado... well, there is the bus, but why would you want to do that? Expert ships mates on the ferry can get you there in 1/3 the time.
Hello again, let me tell you of another great adventure with my god daughter Avaya. Well we were planning on taking the harbor tour today in San Diego California. When we got to the ticket both we saw that for the same price $32 per person we could take a 30 minute thrill ride on Flagships Patriot jet boat. Well we decide that we had to do it. Let me tell you that thrill is an understatement
The captain and crew are extremely nice and the way our captain handled that boat can only be compared with Michael Angelo handling a paint brush just pure exquisite genius.!!!!!!! They play great music on the ride which made me and my god daughter dance in our seats. The tricks the captain performed were incredibly fun ( we both decided that we want to be crew members on board) from the high speed turns to the 180 and 360 degree spins all the way up to when the captain said let me introduce you to the bay and he stopped the boat and a little water mist hit us in the face and we thought that was cool then out of nowhere an avalanche of 500 gallons of water came pouring over us ( thank God for the free ponchos they provided) we we laughing and yelling and throwing or hands up to the music just like we were partying in the best night club in the world. The fun, the laughs, the dancing in our seats, the unbelievable incredible memories we made and will forever reminisce about are sooooooo precious to us both. This was another first experience ive been lucky to share with my God daughter and we are already making plans to do it again, this next time we're bring her dad, and one of my lifelong friends and his kids. This is an adventure that every family must experience. Even with our hair drenched multiple times we were laughing and having a blast the entire time. You do have to be over a certain height to ride check the website. The boat seats a 139 people. Take my advice go to San Diego harbor, goto the Flagship cruise ticket both and book your fantastic adventure on board the Patriot jet boat. Make a memory for a lifetime.

Well everyone we're back.
.. in celebrating my goddaughter Avaya's 15th birthday true to my word we came back to Flagship cruises and events to take another thrill ride on the Patriot jet boat. This time we brought more people, Avaya's Dad, and best friend Sophia. Special shout out to captain Charles that gave us a master ride and increased our memories of this incredible fun experience.
I can tell you that Avaya's dad and Sophia having heard our praises of this experience were a bit skeptical that it would live up to all of or hype. They loved every second of it.
Captain Charles went the extra mile for me as just before shoving the throttle to the limit called attention to my beautiful goddaughter by name and asked everyone to wish her a happy 15th birthday. It caught her completely by suprise and started the fun in such a memorable way.
We were laughing and dancing again and of course throwing or hands up to the music as we reveled in what can only be described as living art. I'm not sure what school they send these captains to, but the way they handle this ship can only be compared to a great artist. The music, the speed, the 360's and of course getting soaked make for the perfect combination of a live 4D movie or living art!!!! We are determined to come back bringing even more people so that this incredible experience will be guaranteed to be in San Diego for decades to come.
People have always said i have a big mouth and love to talk.... Well I love to talk about people and things I love, hence why I talk about my goddaughter soooooooooooooo much. Since this past Friday August 16th 2019, in just 2 days i have talked to and shown pictures of our trip on the Patriot to over a hundred people and they all seemed excited to try it. Most didn't know about it but people will learn as I'm not about to shut up.

My wife and I are visiting from San Antonio, TX. My daughter and son in-law, bought the tickets for us. The whole experience of having dinner while taking a leisurely tour of the harbor was unique! We've never experienced that before. The food was merely mediocre. The waitstaff and crew were very polite and accommodating. Will we do the dinner tour again? Probably not.
The man giving the history was excellent! Loved the trip.

Use a groupon to save 40%. We went whale watching and it was amazing: saw 4 whales and a pod of over 100 dolphins.
It is absolutely worth the money you pay. I found the two hour ticket for $15 on Groupon. Be careful to be there at least one hour before departure of the boat, because parking there is not always easy.
We did the Father's Day Brunch and loved it! Food was amazing, people we were with are great. We had a three year old with us and she loved seeing the captain and watching him drive the boat. This is well worth the money and time!
If you are here to visit San Diego or if you live here you HAVE to do a dinner cruise! My husband and I have been 4 times! When people come to visit this is the #1 thing we love to take them to do!

Staff was great and attentive to everyone! It was like being on a boat with a crew that it is family, I enjoyed it so much and all staff were very informed on the full experience and more. This review is for the jet boat tour. This is a fun way to get a quick view around the bay. My son and I enjoyed the speed and zero radius turns the boat makes. It was overcast and a little cool as we went out so the crew did their best to make sure we didn't get soaked. If you are looking for a detailed informational tour this isn't the one to take. There are multiple options with Flagship and other providers for that. If you are interested in a fun adventurous ride with some cool views and loud music, this is for you.
