Came here just for drinks and the sunset. The bar staff was very friendly and made outstanding drinks for us. This is a beautiful venue and very relaxing. Highly recommend it!

We absolutely loved this place! The food we got was Amazing! We heard great things about this restaurant and had to go. We had the greatest Waitress, Laya. She had the Best Personality and we loved her laugh. She always had a smile at each of her tables. We were very thankful for her being so polite and helpful. We asked her so many questions, lol. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Cant beat the view while you eat breakfast, food was good, outdoor seating and did I mention the view

A great beachfront location. Great service! The steak was tender and delicious, the best I have had on Maui. It was served with mashed potatoes and asparagus which were also delicious. Everything served with the 3 course dinner was also great! The lobster tail, served with the steak, was stringy. Bread and butter should be served with the meal. Very nice people and location, location, location!

Bad service, over priced food and drinks. Has a great view but $18 bucks for eggs Benedict only containing 1 muffin, 2 eggs, and a pice of ham.... Waste of money. Plus watered down alcohol drinks $12-15 bucks each (joke) . If your made of money and don't mind over priced,mediocre food, and bad service....check it out

The best location on a fantastic point at the beach. It's a little spendy, but worth it. They have kama'aina rate

Unreal. Do it. You can literally see the ocean. How many restaurants are on the ocean? A lot sure but this is special

The view is beautiful. The decor and ambiance is very dated. Food and service is mediocre. Prices are high. You're really just going for the view

I think the food is all right, but I don t think you get quality food for the prices they re charging... it s just a little bland. I got the countryside pasta with prawns, and it was a little underwhelming. However, my husband ordered the Mahi Mahi with cucumber salad and it was absolutely fantastic. So while my plate wasn t that great, there s a few options that I d come back to try.

I had the surf and turf 3 course special and it was quite good.

One of the best restaurant views on the island! Food, service and drinks are all good but you re paying for the amazing atmosphere. The brunch/lunch menu is available until 2pm and the sushi bar opens at 3pm.

Awesome location but crappy service. They serve nigori sake "their only sake" hot without warning and then charge you for it?! Mediocre food that's possibly worth it if you catch happy hour

Great anniversary dinner tonight. The lobster was great and the patio was excellent. For those on a budget, the happy hour is very reasonable with a good menu of food and drinks. Great view of the sunset on Maui.

Going to the restaurant almost weekly and making a reservation doesn't seem to mean anything. I get there and they sat us in the back of the lanai. There was no breeze hitting the back area, so it was hot. Other tables came up within minutes but they refused to let me move. This is uncalled for, especially for a regular. Took forever and very very hot

Great food and great service - restaurant sits very close to the shore which is great as you can hear the waves very clearly which is very relaxing! Not a 5 rating since it is slightly over priced when compared to other options on the island in the similar price range.

The first time I had to rate a place like this... the service this day was very below standard.... mangers are terrible and timing and flooring during rain was very hazardous for guests. This not the first time I have experienced this poor standard of quality service.

We had breakfast here one day and the food and service were good not great. Happy hour is a good deal for drinks and appetizers and the location/ view being right on the beach is awesome.

The view is wonderful so go during the day. We always split a hamburger and s salad...just right

My boyfriend and I were very nervous about this place because of how many mixed reviews there were, but we wanted to try it because of the amazing view. I also have family that lives in Maui, so I'm always ready to try something new here. EVERYONE WHO SAYS THIS PLACE IS BAD IS LYING!! This place was amazing, our server Ken, was outstanding! The service, and food were out of this world. My boyfriend and I are both servers, so we can always appreciate a great restaurant. It was our anniversary & not only did everyone in the restaurant wish us a happy anniversary, but they also gave us a card saying happy anniversary, and we also got a free dessert ! This place is amazing . this place is a MUST TRY!!!

We had a reservation for 7:45, didn t get sat till 8:20, then proceeded to wait an hour & a half till our food showed up. Order a variety from sushi, pasta, steak & fish.The pasta & steak was cold & the fish was raw. Extremely disappointed. Went here on Christmas Eve & there service was absolutely horrible. If anyone is looking for a restaurant with amazing service around this area, go to Sorrentos or Tommy Bahamas & definitely not the 5 palms.

Excellent dining, food, sunset views and staff! We loved it !!!

I went to this place with my wife because of reasonably many good reviews. I ordered an omelette and my wife did a pancake that looked very idiosyncratic. We shared them. Mine was decent but not fabulous. I tried the pancake. It tasted very at first bite and I felt something favor at last. I didn t know what it was. My wife told me oil they used might be too old or reused. The I got what the strange taste lasted in my mouth. It was a big disappointment. They developed a nice recipe but used a wrong ingredient. What a shame.
My wife and I ageed this restaurant is an only one time deal. We will never visit it again.
By the way, a waiter was kind. I am pleased with his service.

My son and I came here for a nice sunset dinner outside. The food and view were perfect. Our waitress on the other hand seemed to just forget about us. Refills on my sons drink and myself trying to get another drink was impossible because I dont think she even knew we were still there. That was the turn off of this place

Our first restaurant experience since covid and really needed to get out for my partner s birthday. 5 Palms felt extremely safe - diners masked until seated and all employees masked appropriately. Great outdoor patio with good distancing. Went for breakfast and the Eggs Benedict as good, not great but definitely acceptable and potatoes just ok but honestly, it felt so good to not cook, we loved it all. Nice server and quick service. And of course can t beat the view. Mahalo.

Mai Tai with no pineapple slice? In a beer pint glass? No self respecting resort would do that, certainly not in Maui. And then you go to the men's room and find it locked and have to track down an employee for the code? Too bad. Such a great location. With the price they charge I would expect much better.

Sushi menu is reasonably priced and the location is incredible. Open air restaurant right on the water. We went back for a second time in 11 days which shows we enjoyed the quality and price.

Very expensive, food is very average in taste not worth price. Food dishes are very small.Great view though

Lovely setting overlooking the ocean. Service was very good, food was good to very good, price is higher than one might expect for the food. This is to be expected for such an excellent location.

The best restaurant I visited while on vacation here in Maui. The sushi was excellent, the steak was absolutely great and loved the desserts. The view was gorgeous. What's better to have than the ocean as a view? The service was fantastic and even the general manager came out to just chat with us while we waited for our food. Overall, I had sensational time there. I recommend eating here for sure.

Went for happy hour. Drinks are pretty good, but be careful as few are on the happt hour menu. Food was quite good, and with happy hour, quite affordable.

Always a good choice for viewing whales and sunsets and unexpected friends and neighbors dining in this lovely indoor outdoor setting...One of only a few Kihei choices on the ocean.

Our server was fantastic and definitely made our meal!!

I came for a covid dining experience and was thoroughly impressed with how clean and spaced out they have made everything. And again, first class service the whole meal!

I docked stars because there are no tourists here right now (and maybe it's sticker shock from not going out) but for $24.95 I expected more than 3 finger sized pieces of gray wormy fish (mostly batter) and 8oz of fries.

Wanted to take the family for a nice Christmas Eve Dinner. View from the dining room is amazing. However the 90 minutes we waited for our food that was served at barely room temperature was less than impressive. The waitress was nice but the food temperature is out of her control.

I would never recommend this place. Extremely over priced for what you get... even if the food would have been served at a proper temperature I would still only give this place 2 stars max.

Save your money and find a cheaper place with better food quality.

Not too bad. Beautiful area but the quality of the food does not match the high price. I have no problem paying for quality but if I'm paying $20 for an appetizer it better be damn good.

Food was good...exception was overcooked coconut shrimp. Very friendly service. Quite expensive but it is Maui. Was there for Christmas Dinner. We has a 3 year old with us and they did not have a kids menu nor would not give half portions. We asked for empty plates so child could eat from our dinners and they reluctantly gave them. Very disappointed at the response. Quite astonished that Christmas dinner, at a family oriented area there was disregard for children.
There was also problems with the reservation, they did not have it. Made to through their service, Open Table, and fortunately I had evidence of my reservations on my phone of the reservation.

Probably the best omelette I've ever eaten and rates among the best experiences I've ever had at a restaurant. Fantastic!

Casual or dressy you will be happy you came to this place. Wonderful restaurant right on the beach, great view and a chance to take a nice walk after you enjoy a delicious dinner and a couple of Mai Tais.

I come to Hawaii every year. Last year everything was great this year ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! We had a group of 7 people. Our food was terrible. The french toast was soggy even before putting on the syrup. My potatoes were bland. Only one out of seven enjoyed their meal. To top it off they literally temoved ou egg table to set up for a buffet. WORST SERVICE EVER!!! FOR THE PRICE OF THE MENU I EXPECTED MUCH MORE. I WILL NOT RETURN THERE.
