Went here for the first time and thought everything was top notch: - Fish and Chips: this was our favorite at the table. Both fries and fish were perfectly fried. This was reasonably sized with 3 pieces. Definitely a must order. - Fish Tacos: we had both one order of Poke and one order of the fish of the day (Rockfish). Both were excellent in their own way, with the blend of sauce and Poke being delicious and the slaw being a major hit. If hungry I'd recommend getting something else. - Crab Burger: Crab itself was perfectly seasoned and the sauce on the bun was great. - Guacamole - relatively standard, nothing special, but was probably a good order given we were still hungry. Was relatively busy even at 4:45 on a random holiday weekday, but was easy enough to order and find space to eat, and they moved pretty quickly.

Since I visited Hawaii and ate poke for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, I hadn't been able to find poke in the city that made me happy. No longer! The poke at Hook Fish Co is really, really good. And all their other stuff is good too! I love that on their board you can see the port your fish came into, and the boat that caught it. And I love how they highlight the flavors in their tacos and (especially) the sandwich.

A nice selection of fresh fish. We ordered the burrito, fish tacos, and the fish and chips (all good flavor and filling). The interiors evoke the feel of a small fishing village eatery with whole timber stumps as bar stools. Outdoor seating looked great too (only if the sun was out).

Delicious and fresh fish and poke burritos. The quantity was surprisingly appropriate for the price (rare in SF), and the quality was outstanding. Their social distance compliant ordering system was easy to use and efficient. Made a great day at Ocean Beach that much better.

Amazing fresh fish! Super tasty with a great varieslty of flavor and options. The outdoor seating makes it perfect to bring your furry friends for a nice meal after the beach. I personally cannot get over their fish tacos. my search is over for the best fish tacos. I'll be at fish hook!

I have always assumed that I would never try poke that s better than what I ve had in Hawaii. Woah, wrong. Hook Fish is so damn good. I ve only had their poke and I highly highly recommend. Grab a Pacifico and sit outside and you ll think you are on vacation prolly.

We saw a lot of people standing in line so we tried it out. They only accepted orders on line, 1 hour wait outside for take out. Expensive for what it was. Too little fish added to the orders, main ingredients were chips, beans and rice. People that go there say they know about the small fish portions and high prices, but they still go as it is one of the few places opened in the area. Not sure if we will go back.

Come for the beachy vibes, stay for the food. For $13-16 you'll get a choice of healthy seafood options via tacos, burritos, or sandwiches while watching the sun change colors across the beach. My only cons are with the flavor - the burritos taste fresh and clean, but could use some additional self-serve sauces. Seating is limited inside, but tables are available outside.

Amazing fish tacos here. Personally, worth the price! The fish is fresh and melts in your mouth like butter. The flavors combined in the tacos beautifully complement each other. The crab cakes and black cod tacos are a favorite of mine. Service is great! Whenever I order online, my food is ready exactly when they text me.

Ordered rock cod fish tacos. They should have been the called red cabbage tacos. Although the actual fish was tasty the fillets were the size of your thumb and cost $7 ea! The aioli was mediocre and the radish garnishment was out of place. Wife ordered fish n chips, which was good but the fries were soggy and limp. All together a real bust and not worth the drive out of your way to get there and stand in line to boot. Yuck

Went to Hook Fish Co. Yesterday. Hands down the best fish and chips I've ever had. They were so incredibly tasty and the sauce that came with, which I believe was tzatziki but definitely a yogurt dill sauce, went so well with the fish and the black pepper fries. I will definitely go back. Their fish tacos were really good as well. Got the rock fish, salmon, and black cod tacos. All delicious. Their fried avocado burrito was also tasty. Great food, wish we could have had full service but it is what it is, hopefully things turn around soon.

I'm liking this small little gem, indoor and outdoor seating. Doesn't feel too crowded even when it is. I went with family and found a peasant, friendly crowd and personable, laid back staff (but also with a lovely service ethic too)! Delicious, in a word, fare can be found all over the menu. Fresh fish burritos are substantial and healthy, on-point was a ceviche with mango, shrimp and salmon, plus guacamole was great quality overall. Want to definitely return to try more of their goods. Hot days and beach days, and better yet, hot beach days in the area have a perfect meal joint just a few blocks off the ocean! Get stoked! !

Wonderful place to eat! Spent 4 nights nearby and ate here 2/4 days! I'm gluten free and dairy free, the staff were extremely helpful and friendly and I was able to find multiple delicious meals within my parameters! Food was fresh, atmosphere amazing and while it was packed, we didnt have to wait too long! Highly recommend this place!

Fish of the day burrito = 8 parts white rice, 1.5 parts tortilla, and 0.5 parts black beans and fish. Sandwich of day =9 parts dry bread, 1 part fish and fixings. All told $35. Could not have eaten either without their orange vinegar sauce which is what bumped this 1 star review to 2 stars. Won't be back
