I saw Dr. Anita and she was very nice, but it didn t really make up for the rest of the trip. My appointment was at 9AM I wasn t seen until 10:15. The nurses were not that friendly which is fine I m not there to hang out but it would have been a little less irritating to sit there for over an hour if they were nice to me lol. I had a throbbing headache and it was very loud for the entire hour I was waiting just from people in the back talking and laughing so that wasn t pleasant either. The Dr. prescribed me two things I didn t know much about but she seemed to be in a rush so I only asked a few questions about reactions with birth control etc. I kinda just wandered out I didn t see the check out area bc no one was there at the moment so I had to ask someone where to go to get checked out and come back in. Kinda hectic, really long wait seems like they were overbooked. Again the doctor herself was pleasant although she didn t explain much about the medication I was prescribed.

Dr. Basaam Tomeh has been my personal doctor for more than 7 years. He has outstanding bedside manner. He takes the time to listen to my health needs and concerns. He has personally called to followup on serious heath issues that needed prompt attention. Dr. Tomeh is knowledgeable and capable in dealing with vast and complex medical issues ranging from blood clot disorders, chronic and disabling spine and joint conditions, and depression. He also referred me to one of the best pain management specialist in Atlanta. Dr.Tomeh and his staff continue to do an awesome job in helping me to manage my challenging health needs. I highly recommend Dr. Tomeh and his practice. He is a fine man and doctor.

Best Doctor in Georgia. Cares about your well being. I stopped going to him a year ago due to moving across town. BAD decision to the doctor I was seeing It was a simple in and out. Decided to go back to Dr Tomeh, he took the time to ask about me and how I was feeling outside of my issues very interpersonal I will never make the mistake again going to a closer dr just because of distance. I will be happy to make the 30-45 min drive to have better care. Thank you Dr Tomeh

Had an appt at 2 (thats when they come back from lunch) and just waited 10mins. Doctor and staff are friendly. They do almost everything there, no need to go to a lab. Did blood test and flu shot in less than 30 mins.

Hands down best GP I've ever seen and I've been to a LOT. He is incredibly kind and caring. He takes the time to get to know you and actually CARES. This man is a gem and if I ever move away, I will drive back here to see him, no matter the distance. It's rare to find a doctor you can trust this much and I'm not letting him go.

Extremely disappointed with this office. It was my first and last time visiting.

I actually had a pretty good experience initially (despite waiting 45 min past my scheduled appt time to be seen). It was a simple annual/preventive visit. I saw Dr. Tomeh, he was friendly and nice. He told me that as a courtesy to all their patients, they call insurance to make sure different services are covered 100% before doing them. In my case, he said all the services they would do for an annual were completely covered, so I agreed to it. This included various lab work, an MRI, chest xray, bone density scan (I'm only 30 and thought this was odd but if covered, why not?), ultrasound, PFT, etc. I left thinking wow - I've never had a Dr's office call on my behalf to make sure things were covered, and I've also never had that many tests done on an annual visit. He also asked me to come back in 2 weeks to review, which I assumed was also as a courtesy.

Wrong. I now have over $400 in charges related to an annual preventative visit that should have been 100% covered by insurance. Some of it is due to a mishap between what the office was told was covered when they called Aetna vs. what Aetna actually covers - which is a mix up on Aetnas side, and I get that that can happen. However, the real issue is how UNPROFESSIONAL the office was with getting back to me. I seriously have been calling this office almost weekly since I received my first bill in September and it's now DECEMBER and they haven't resolved the issue. It took almost 2 months before I even got anyone to call me back after I don't even know how many voicemails and messages left with the receptionist. I finally got them to call me back when I told the receptionist I would be coming up there in person to speak with the biller. When I finally got on the phone with someone, we determined the lab work was billed incorrectly (not as a preventative visit) which is why I was billed. A Aetna did tell them some of the preventative work would be covered (not all), so I am battling with Aetna still to get this reprocessed, but will likely still have to pay something for a visit that should have been free.

FYI - the follow up was $150 just for a 5 min visit with Dr. Tomeh to give me my paperwork and tell me I'm healthy. That part I'll blame on my ignorance for assuming it was a courtesy, but I definitely feel deceived.

All in all, I liked Dr. Tomeh, but won't be going back because the billing seemed sketchy and they were impossible to get in touch with and seemed unwilling to help. I would have been far more understanding of the situation if they had just called me back in a timely manner.

Whoa.... I came to write a review after having my last appointment with Dr. Tomeh due to moving across town and saw the scathing review from a few weeks ago. Wow. He's been my doctor for nearly a decade (since moving to Atlanta), and I want to give my opinion on his care.

My time with Dr. Tomeh has been nothing short of awesome. Any time I was sick, he never failed to do whatever was necessary to make sure that I got what I needed. He was always caring, but will straightforward on the things I needed to hear (weight loss, diet, etc...). Because of his method of communicating, I knew he cared about me and my well-being. He always celebrated the accomplishments of my life with me, and never failed to give me the truth in relation to my health. I've never received care that was even close to subpar.

While the office staff could use some help, I have continued seeing Dr. Tomeh for the past 10 years due to his care. He's been consistent, professional, and nothing short of amazing during my time there. I am sad to have to leave his practice, and wish he'd decide to move closer to the Smyrna area (with a different office staff).

Thank you for your years of service, Dr. Tomeh!

PREDATORY PRACTICE WARNING!!! Dr. Syed Zia Ullah is a thief and should not have a license. I called this practice to have a physical scheduled. After Dr. Syed saw me for <10min. he said he could not focus and would have to schedule a physical for another day. I was then billed for an extraneous office visit that was not covered under preventative care. I hope no one else makes the mistake of seeing these dishonest people that are only out to take your money and provide nothing in return.

I recently saw Dr. Tomeh for a yearly well visit. It was close to the end of the year and I was due for my physical. I booked online and was able to be seen the same day.

It was overall great experience. His staff secretary members were courteous and the nurse that drew my blood was amazing. I barely felt the needle for into my arm. I believe her name was either Koya or Susan. I can t remember. And most importantly, Dr. Tomeh was a real pleasure to meet and have him care for me. He s very laid back and relaxed and took his time to get to know me and examine me. His dorky and nerdy sense of humor really broke the ice and helped take the edge off as I was incredibly nervous. He took his time to explain plans of action and his recommendations for my care and gave me multiple chances to answer any questions I had.

I returned a week later without an appointment scheduled for my reports. Unfortunately, he was booked that day so I was asked to see Jocelyn. It was busy and I had to wait a bit. She greeted me with a bubbly and very energetic personality! She made me grin a few times during our appointment. I ve never met anyone with so much energy! She did a great job going over my reports and asked me to return a in few weeks to recheck a few things that came back abnormal.

Overall, I ve had a great experience with this group. If I was to complain
about something, it would be the wait time. I can understand having to wait 30 min or so for an unscheduled appointment, but having to wait for 30 minutes for my initial, scheduled consultation with Dr. Tomeh was a bit too much. That being said, I can see how he falls behind though as he spends a lot of time with patients such as myself. I wouldn t let this deter me from returning to these guys as the experience was worth wait!

He is Mandalorian certified as a top notch provider!!
Thanks Dr. T

I have been seeing Dr. Tomeh for the past 4 years, and my experience has been great. I used to take multiple over the counter medication that seemed to do me no good; Dr. Tomeh took the time and interest in having me adopt a healthier lift style and stop all of my medications. My last lab results could not have been any better, and I'm taking no medications what so ever.
Thank you Dr. Tomeh

While this man may at times be a good doctor, and he is certainly a nice man, he almost killed me due to negligence. 2 and 1/2 years ago I had a bladder infection. He never took a urine culture. Instead he kept plying me with different types of antibiotics. The error wasn't caught until 8 months later...by then I was a regular at Emory's ER. There a doctor thought to do a culture, discovered I had been on the wrong type of antibiotics, and put me on the right type. The infection cleared right up. HOWEVER, I had of course contracted C-diff. I had probably had C-Diff for around 6 months (according to more than one GI). As a likely result of the C-Diff, I contracted Crohn's disease. By the time that was caught I needed an ostomy. When the surgeon opened me up on February 1st, 2016 he discovered I had about one week left to live. My colon and part of my small intestine had to be removed, and left me with Short Gut Syndrome. I am now permanently disabled because of this man. My life is destroyed. I live in constant pain. This was so bad that 2 different doctors advised me to sue him (and doctors stick together, THAT'S HOW BAD THIS IS). However, as my husband is an attorney I know better than to sue anyone. I don't need the stress on top of all the physical pain and stress I live with. THIS IS DUE TO YOU BASSAM! People, be careful with him. Check what he does. Don't let him do to you what he did to me.

I have been his patient for 7 years now. He is hands down one of the best doctors in town. His communication skills and bed side manner are top notch. Very personable. Treats me more like a family member and not like another "number." He had an outstanding knowledge base. A very well respected gentleman in the community and well thought of by medical specialists I have seen. Many thanks for your care, Dr. Tomeh.

I recently went to see Dr. Tomeh for a routine physical and some personal issues related to the anxiety and stress of life. My visit was nothing short of outstanding from check in to check out. Wait time was a little longer than I wanted, but it was well worth it. He was kind and very non-confrontational which put me at ease as I was terribly nervous. His staff was top notch. Susan was the nurse that worked with me and did a great job drawing my blood! I didn t feel a thing!!! Many thanks for your support and kind words and guiding me into the right direction, Dr. T.

EDIT: Dr. Tomeh reached out to me to apologize after seeing my review. I truly appreciated him taking the time to make sure I was okay. Though I am still deciding whether I am comfortable visiting his office again, it is comforting to know he cares about what his patients go through and wants to actively correct wrongs.

Original: This review is not about Dr. Tomeh, it is about the staff and nurse practitioners who saw me in his absence.

The entire experience was terrible, to the point where I stood up in the middle of the appointment and left in tears. NEVER in my life have I left an appointment. My concern was undermined entirely and not taken seriously. I was belittled and spoken to as if I was an uneducated idiot. Following the experience in the appointment room , I then had to sit in the room alone and listen to staff sharing their opinions regarding my concern out in the open hallway near the front desk as if they were schoolgirls gossiping in the cafeteria. That was when I had enough and left. While I was trying to leave, I was told I "took it the wrong way". With all due respect, I am a professional who knows how to act in a professional manner. What I experienced there was NOT acceptable in any way, and I should have received at the VERY least a phone call with an apology. I have visited this office twice before and have enjoyed my visits with Dr. Tomeh; but, unfortunately, I have lost trust in this office and Dr. Tomeh has lost a patient.

My last visit was very ill. I was very sick and the doctor was talking to me at the door. This is funny. I did not check the conscience of the profession. I have new reports. I did not look at them. If you are urgent and you do not have time, why do you give an appointment?

If I could leave ZERO STARS, I would! I don t care how many ratings or magazines this doctor is in. UNPROFESSIONAL STAFF AND A COMPLETE WASTE OF YOUR TIME AND MONEY. My mother has been going to this doctor and time after time, he has neglected her. Consistently too busy to pick up the phone and read her results of her tests. She has critical health issues and his staff keeps pushing it off as if it s not important. My mother s health is important!!
Do not waste your time and money on this inconsiderate facility.

Dr. Tomeh was great. He has a great demeanor and listens to his patients. My issue is not with him. My only complaint is about his staff. I have been waiting on test results for 2 weeks and every time I call there is an excuse about them not receiving info from my last doctor. They are not following up in a timely manner and I have to keep calling to get information. Then they act like they have an attitude because I keep asking. The customer service and follow up is not good.

I know very little about computers and I typically do not write reviews for businesses, but I felt obligated to do so after reading a negative review on this gentleman. He has been providing me medical care for just over 8 years. I am a very difficult patient in regards to my medical issues. One would expect this from a 70 year old overweight man who takes little care of himself. I'm not a "cake walk through the park" as they say.

I can't think of anyone other than Dr. Tomeh to trust my life with. His degree of knowledge is without bounds. He's sharp as a tack and has for the most part been able to control my sugars, blood pressure, and cholesterol by tweaking my medications. Some of my numbers come back a bit off, but I am to blame as, again, I do not take good care of myself. A very smart fellow indeed.

He has a strong, upbeat personality and is very professional with me and his staff members. Not once have I seen him grimace when greeting me and others in the hallways of his office. He always has a smile on his face. He's very personable and easy to talk to.

He runs a very tight ship as well. When he asks his employees to jump, they as how high. They seem efficient and always upbeat as well. He has a great team.

I have referred 3 family members and several friends to his office. I'm sure they unanimously agree with me. He's a great doctor and very nice gentleman.
