first direct arena Review

It's only drawback is it's not very personal. Standing is great. Sitting can be uncomfortable, depending on the stand.

Excellent venue for conventions with clear views from all seats. Good toilet facilities, wide stairs and some lifts. City centre location 12 mins from bus and coach station.

Large Arena...good venue to see a concert...food and drink totally overpriced but expected as it's a captive audience...would definitely go again.

What a wonderful night (29/6/2017) watching Good Mourning Mrs Brown the cast (as always) was fantastic and very enjoyable. Everything from approaching the First Direct Arena to gaining entance and being shown to our seats was appreciated. I would definitely recomend a visit.

I took my daughter to see Disney on Ice here. The show was very well put on, the staff were very helpful. Food is expensive. The Arena itself is located in the city centre, so very easy to get to. Seats were comfy.

Great venue and setup just don't think I'd like to be sat at the back/top stand

Good seating, good security staff. Toilets you can actually use without missing half the show! Awful booking fees.

Nice place an plenty of parking near too the arena..but far too warm once sat inside the arena..aircon really needed.

Been to the First Direct Arena a few times now and always have a great time! The facilities are great, the shows are always excellent and the seating is quite good also. If you are thinking of taking a trip here to see a show then you won't be disappointed with the venue for sure

Great place for concerts, conferences and any kind of events that need a large area for a numerous public.

Arrogant staff. Owned by Leeds City Council not first direct. Vastly overrated

Great Arena. Easy access and egress. Good acoustics for the live bands.

Very poor outside administration in a downfall they expected people to wait in the rain while someone went to collect the tickets they altered. Inside staff however behaved a lot better. Manager get your act together. There were also problems with the show which the arena staff maybe couldn't do anything about but could have been more proactive. My first visit will I go again!!?

Been a few times, I like the layout of the arena. Easy to get to from the train station.

Just been to the Legends Live 2019, David Essex and Showaddywaddy both excellent, Bay City Rollers ok, Suzi Quatro very disappointing. But overall a really good night out.

Good show. No WiFi or phone signal even though needed Twitter to interact with show. Long queues to get in.

The best Arena I've been to. Modern, specious and with a highest quality sound. I've been there to see many various events and I can highly recommend that venue. Very friendly staff members, always smiling and willing to help. Never had a problem to collect a missing personal belonging or a just a prepaid ticket when thair not on time by post. Drinks and food in reasonable prices on site.

Ok place, not very well designed for viewing, but the security, sorry but too much.

The arena is clean, queues weren't too bad for the concession stand and toilets. Overall atmosphere feels positive.

This is my second visit to First Direct Arena the security arangement are much more strict than last time. The arena affords quite good views from all the raised positions the seats are adequate rather than comfortable all in all the venue can be described as reasonable rather than superior.

Seating arrangements were cancelled last minutes and apart from queuing to get in on hottest day of year. Then had to join a massive queue to get reallocated seats. Wouldn't mind but booked our original seats 6 months in advance to suit my medical conditions. I got reallocated seats next to an aisle as requested but couldn't see the stage. Show was absolutely brilliant. Second time I've been to Mrs Brown live and never failed to be entertained. Bar and food service poor and food choices and quality far below standard for the cost.

It doesn't matter where you sit in this arena. You can see the stage/act. I've enjoyed every visit.

A great place to watch a concert. I strongly recommend you to go there and see. If you are not unlucky to have a person who can't stay seated during the show, you will be able to see everything independently the place you are.

Good security when visiting for tattoo expo. Like all these places limited food/drink & expensive

Drinks are pricey, but only what you'd expect. It's kept clean during gigs as although plenty of bins around bar area, there are none down around main stage, so people just drop their plast glasses all over the place.

First time at a concert seeing Jason derulo really enjoyed it, security is great and place is clean and tidy. Only gripe was it was extremely pricey for food and drink to be expected tho.

Brilliant!! The sound here is really good and everyone gets a decent view. Facilities are second to none.

Went to see the script a couple of weeks ago. We got in easily enough despite the numerous searches which is now common. A great venue overall.

Great place friendly staff. Went to see the Four Tops and the Temptations.

Saw Strictly last night, brilliant, BUT, having to sit in the gods and partly watch screen and live dancing i would say the screens are too small.

Great views....great atmosphere....long queues for drinks and right cheap.

Fantastic experience at first direct in Leeds,venue was easy to get to and from with parking just metres away. Once there the staff were amazing,very polite and all those we interacted with were professional.Security and searches again were thorough but carried out with respect to all. Prices inside were a little dear but you expect that.staff really helpfull to all especially if disabled.we had an unbelievable relaxed night watching Rita Ora thank you.

Fantastic staff brill . A brilliant night out . Drinks a bit pricey

Anyone sitting high up couldn't see the the performers' faces on the main screen, only from the neck down because of the arena's strange set up with the sort of wrap around screen on top the main one. I went to see Rod Stewart and instead, had to squint at him on the stage or gaze at the front of his blazer for most of the performance. It was the same neck-down view of the female performers but I think around half of the audience didn't mind that. Not impressed with the arena for overlooking such an important detail.

Large space, not stupidly enormous, but big enough. Stage view from the front is excellent. Can't speak for the back. There were no screens up to enable better view for back though.

Very poor toilet facilities. Clean enough but the queues represent a design flaw. Visually there isn't a bad seat in the house but the acoustics are not what I'd expect in an amphitheatre styled building. The speakers were overdriven for three of the four concerts that I've seen there.

Saw Rod Stewart the other night poorly arranged show starting 30 minutes early which created mayhem trying to get a large part of the audience into their seats in the dark. Flaw in stage design meant the video screen could not be seen from the right

Brilliant venue with good car parking. The staff were really helpful and friendly with great customer service skills.

Saw the Wombats here, and it was the best night of my life

Brilliant night watching Michael Buble. Evening made all the better by the excellent stewarding in nearby car park and roads. Staff were very helpful and so professional from the moment we arrived and spoke with a steward at the car park entrance to the staff helping at the umbrella collections. Best stewarding I have ever experienced. Well done Leeds.

Went to see Disney on Ice, lots of security which is fine, and the arena itself is fine, but the cost of things is too expensive.

We managed to get into the arena very quickly and didn't feel rushed or harrased by staff. Everyone was very helpful. Had an amazing time seeing the League of Gentlemen Live

Really impressed, great seating, plenty of toilets and bars but expensive. Good ventilation and also very friendly.
