Very friendly and helped me save money on my tire ...
Very friendly and helped me save money on my tire purchases by letting me know the best promotions and informing me about which options I could do without. I really appreciate the honesty.

Very slow service, one mechanic was scrolling through Facebook while he was supposed to be performing work on another vehicle, over an hour to change 1 tire
They use the tired hard sales pitch that their policy only allows them to sell 4 tires. They don't want your money.
Staff attended to my car even knowing that doing so would make them extremely late for closing time. Saved me out of a jam. Had a nail stuck in my tire and it is a reasonable price.
#Amish I apologize for my so-called friend Andrew he know not what he does you should know better than give any other business anything but a 5-star review you do realize that they have a computer also right?
Was great service, can't say enuff about the staff.. I'll be back for all my car needs.. thanks to the staff and mechanics
Great service friendly mechanics always do a good what ever the problem.
I brought a car in here today -well, the person buying it from me did (for a quick inspection). They came up with something like $800 in brake work, saying it had grooves in the rotors and needed new callipers. Thing is, I'm a mechanic -i took it home and got it up on jack stands. They brakes did indeed need some work, but no grooves in the rotors -and the callipers just needed new guide bolts on one side. Careful bringing your car here.
This place is a joke, they plugged 2 tires in 2 hours and left the key turned on, drained the battery down to almost dead. over priced and have back yard mechanics, I wouldn't take my lawn mower there for repairs.
For this type of place, there are definitely worse places you can go. This place is pretty honest, but expect to pay premium prices.
After dealing with this Branch of Firestone for 10 years - I can no longer tolerate them.
Call me old fashion but I believe the customer is always right, so when I ask for a specific repair - i.e., replace a specific fuse... I don't need a discussion about needing an electrical check $$ - I know what blew the fuse.... I did!
Saturday, March 11th - I had my car towed there. In a previous repair - I instructed them to replace my transmission line - they called with good news - they save me $!00 by patching the line. At the time I was annoyed - I wanted the line replace.
Fast forward 2 years - the link developed another leak.. This time I was informed by them, that they are not transmission specialists and they refused to do the repair due to liability issues - they wouldn't accept a signed a waiver of potential damage.
So, my walk away is that this branch does not stand behind they're corporate Motto...
Firestone... THE COMPLETE AUTO CARE
Very pleased with my Firestone experience! Good service and price!
This place has been at the same location for over 100 years and started out as the Firestone Rubber company, It isn't quite as big as it used to be back in the early 1900's but still a great service station, oh yea and when it was the Firestone Rubber Co, back in 1917 Clark Gable held his first job there!
They couldn't help me because they were fully booked but one of their canton stores were able to take me on short notice for a tire plug and I decided to have my oil changed while there as well and they gladly helped me out. Thank you to both stores for getting this done for me on a Sunday where most service garages are closed.
I have been a long time customer. They are honest and I trust them. Being a woman not all vehicle repair shops treat you the same. They have price matched for me. Jeff is always on top of things and communicates well. I think their technicians are very knowledgeable and do the job right the first time and at a competitive price. I would highly recommend this location!!!
Great location right on a big street. Ample parking space. Cooperative employees. Facility was clean. The waiting room was equipped well. Children's toys are available for ur little ones. Walk ins for flat tires etc are welcome.
Oil change, tire rotation, and front end alignment in one hour.
Had a good first experience today. Alex made the appointment for me and then when I called back to come sooner, it wasn't a problem. Inside contact was James. Both men were pleasant and professional. I'll be back and hope the same level of experience is had.
They had no record of previous visits with vehicles we had in the past. They had to send out for a part to fix our vehicle with and were done sooner than expected. They were very nice and the only thing I really didn't like was that they left our vehicle unlocked with the windows partially down and I had left the GPS unit on the front seat and had personal belongings in there that I was lucky to still have.
Couldn't even change a spare for me. Just a 1 ton pick up truck. 7/8" lug nuts. By far the most worthless complete auto care/tire shop ever.
I have a lifetime alignment and tire rotation. I call and make the appointment. I tell them I have an F250, 4 door, short bed. He says our large machine is broken, but it will fit in the other machine. I say are you sure as I am 49 minutes away and do not want to come if it cannot be done. Well they try and them tell me my truck is 2' too long. What a wasted trip and my my time.
Had a really good experience at this store, the sales lady Emily was extremely nice and gave really good advice on tires for my vehicle. Would recommend talking to her every time
Been here twice already, first was for tie rods and second was for belts. I was a bit wary of the pricing of the work but they were communicating and understanding, never has it been easier to get great auto work done from reasonable and down to earth people!
Needing to replace the tires on my wife's, pride and joy, 2003 Chevrolet Alvanche Z71; I called a couple of tire dealers including Firestone. All of the dealers quickly provided me with their best offer to replace my existing Firestone Destination tires and then offered to beat any other dealers price except for Firestone. I do not have time to pursue bogus quotes; as I do have old school character and knowledge. I quickly made an appointment with the Firestone Auto Care store on South Main Street in Akron, Ohio. It was a pleasure working with professionals that provide customer's with accurate quotes upfront and explain the P's and Q's associated with my needs. The service desk personnel, Angelia, was a pleasure to work with, was very knowledgeable about my needs, and treated me with respect. That is why I would recommend this location to people that are in need of honest straight forward service on their automobiles at fair prices.
Aaron is the mechanic that works on both my cars. I have never had any issues with his work. Just remember this isn't a "fast food" joint. Sometimes things take longer than expected since we do live in Ohio, and cars tend to rust, break, and not come apart due to the weather we drive in. They work on all types of vehicles including imports.
Firestone always does a good job and explains everything
I took my wifes 05 prius in for rear brake shoes and they told me it needed shoes, drums, front rotor, front pads, and brake fluid flush...A 300 dollar job was quoted $1500. I guess they did not want my money....long story short, took it to another shop, they changed the brake shoes and said everything else in the brake system was in perfect condition....not gonna fool me again firestone!!
Got serviced quick and with professionalism...I would refer anyone to this location..
Dale and Tyler were magnificent! Good guys! Second time I visit the store and I liked it again. They do not surprise you with hidden charges.
It is nice place to have our cars cared and maintained well.
If you have quality wheels, don t go here. Their ignorance for taking care of custom wheels is absurd.
I just picked up my wheels that were scuffed from their lack of care for other peoples property. When I intially went to see if if could be done, they had the service tech and service manager come see if they could mount my tires and they said it could be done. Yeah it can be, at the expense of scratching up my SSR SP4 lips. Never coming back here again and I don t recommend anyone to either.
Finding a good place to mount tire on custom wheels is such a PITA.
Always like Firestone still a little pricey but quality work
Took my car in because it was pulling to the left while driving. Told the guys what was going on with my vehicle and that it had something to do with my break caliper sticking. They checked it out and said that they found nothing wrong with it. Also wanted an alignment check that didn't get checked out because they say they forgot to check it. I had enough so I promptly left. Took it to another car repair shop and sure enough it was a bad caliper piston. Very unprofessional and its a good thing I know somethings about cars or these guys would have left me in great danger. Taking a chance of the caliper locking up completely while driving on the highway. They may leave a reply to try and compensate for the lack of professionalism, but quite frankly I have not the time nor the luxury to sit and wait in a shop for nothing. Nor do I even have the time to write this review. This is simply to save someone else from the trouble that I went through when it could have simply been fixed there at the time I explained to them what was going on with my breaking system. I will be a customer to firestone auto repair never again!!! No stars from me, but because I have to select one to leave this review that is the only reason there is one star.
Had great experiences here until today. Had a 9:30am appointment for an oil change. Dropped the car off at 9:15. I called for a check in at 12:30 and they said they were just about to pull it in. No problem..until 3 hours later. I called back since I had not heard anything. They said they were about to pull it in. I told them not to and picked it up untouched. If I wanted an oil change at 4pm, I would have scheduled it at 4pm.
Good staff, qualified techs. Good to have this repair shop in the neighborhood.
If I could do 0 starts that's what they would have gotten!
Last minute tire mount, balance, and getting it on my car. Fast, friendly, professional service. Very happy with my visit
I brought my brand new car here for an oil change, it took them an hour, then a week later my engine oil light came on, and checked to find there was no oil at all. Never trusting this place or going through the hassle of trying to get a refund or hold them accountable for their mistake.
They used to be able to do same day oil changes, but anymore their wait time is hours long.
This location was horrible. Online it said they were open today (a Sunday). Went there because they were the closest location just to find out they were closed. had to go all the way up to the chapel hill location and they got me right in with no issues.
Great service but you have to wait all day if not days to get your car back.
The guy at the front desk wasn't helpful to get coupon discounts
In my multiple experiences, the crew go above and beyond to help their customers. They are always professional, polite, friendly, informative. They have never been patronizing or left me feeling talked down to. They also have great hours, even Sundays!
I don't know why they set appointments and they don't keep them. I can understand getting a little behind but there for 2 hrs for 1 tire. They could have been more helpful. I prefer the one at chapel hill
I love this place!!! The mechanics are honest and up front. There has never been any surprises. They get the job done fast and right the first time!! They honor their warranties. I wouldn't go any where else!!!
Always excellent service and honest people. Brought my car in a while ago for new brake pads since it had been quite sometime and they were squeaking at me. After taking the car back, the mechanic consulted with me that he thinks I could get at least 2 more years out of the ones I have (only half way worn and I've had the current ones about 2 years) and that it might just be salt/moisture from the time of year. Didn't even charge for the diagnosis. This has now been my regular place for other car issues and maintenance:)
Thesw guys are fantastic! Service is great as is the quality of work. Prices are about average, so what you would get anywhere. Overall, I can say this is my new place for maintenance and tires. The warranty on tires is legit as well. I had brakes, struts, shocks, tires, lights, wiper blades, and an alignment done in a single day and didn't waste anytime waiting. Will definitely be going here again
Long story short: they tried to take advantage of my girlfriend because she didn't know much about cars. When confronted, they refused to do any work at the quoted price citing safety concerns but offered to do the work if I bought the more expensive (4x) 'lifetime warranty' on the brakes. Details below.
My girlfriend went in for a brake job which was quoted at $115, they call her a few hours later telling her she needs to replace the rotors and the calipers and it'll cost $785. She calls me and I head over to Firestone to see how a $115 job turned into a $785 job. They tell me that the calipers are frozen, I ask them how they diagnosed this, they tell me they did a visual inspection but offered no real diagnostic test.
To show me, they place a tool on the steering wheel that depresses brakes and spins the rotors. Unconvinced, I decide to depress the brake myself, lo and behold, the rotors did not move and the calipers are engaged. So I ask them to do the brakes for the quoted price and leave the calipers alone. They offer to replace the brakes and rotors for $465 and give me a lifetime warranty. I decline and ask them to do the brakes for the quoted price and they tell me they are unable to do so citing safety concerns, even though they just offered to do them if I paid the more expensive package.
They clearly just advertised a price to entice customers and then choose to screw their customers over so they can make extra cash. I took it down to another shop without telling them what happened at Firestone. They replaced the rotors and brakes for $235 with no hassle. When we pick up the car I ask them if there was anything wrong with the calipers, they told me they were in great condition.
This was the worst experience I've ever had with a company.
They were thorough but they told me 45 minutes to check out a new car and it was actually an hour and a half. I did not buy that car due to what they found. They dabbed me from a lemon.
Poor experience. Went to get tired and an alignment. They never wrote on work order that I wanted alignment. Had to call back n make sure it was on work order. It wasnt. I also asked for a front end inspection because I have a shake in steering wheel. Manager said when tires were on if it still does it to bring back then and then they will look at it. I dont have time to take back because employees don't wanna do the job while my truck was there. I dropped off my truck at 900 this morning n was told 300 pick up. We had to add alignment because they never put it on work order so he said it would be 500 to 600 for front end check. Needless to say,I got my truck back at closing n was told they didn't have enough employees to any other work on work order. I should of got it back by 300. So it took 9 and a half hrs to put new tires on my truck n still didn't get the alignment or front end inspection. I'm not happy with the service and time it took to install 4 new tires. Will not b going back to this Firestone ever again. Poor service.. I give 0 stars. This was rediculess had to put one star to post
8.5 hours to install a new battery? Last time I'll patronize Firestone for any services.
Very good service and awesome staff. Best to make an appointment
Friendly service clean environment and a charging station for your phone, honest service!
To busy with not enough employees equals long waits.
Best customer service for auto repairs in Akron. Colton rules.
Got me in and fixed same day. Cost was not unreasonable but on the high side but fixed the problem in 3 hours. My truck is running good again.
Simple tire patch, (had insurance so should cost nothing...) told me it would cost 20.00 for the repair, they broke my lock key took them three days to get the new one ordered, and even forgot to call me..mean while I had zero transportation to work because they had not gotten a chance to fix it. Then had told me that I would need to pay for the key.
I was treated very well and offered multiple solutions for my tire situation.
Great people!!!! However timing especially on oil changes can be a little better! Angela and Jason are bomb!!!
Dealing with major health issues is never fun, especially around the holiday season, but on top of that to have your vehicle vandalized makes things even worse. I had the catalytic converters cut off of my truck on 11/24/19 my truck was towed to this store on Tuesday, the manager Andrew got it in and estimated and even dealt with my insurance company. Today is 12/4/19 and I just got my truck back, I can't thank Andrew or the technician Richard enough for getting me taken care of so quickly and professionally. Kudos to you both.
Jst rmbr. they are not ar Summit Mall anymore. The webpage isnt updated to reflect this.
Overall great experience. The staff are all polite and professional. I had to wait a while for new tires and alignment, and the waiting area is very clean and comfortable, with satellite TV!
Other than being 2 hours behind schedule. They took great care of me. If it wasn't for Lisa I would have walked out
