My husband and I just saw South Pacific. I have seen the play a few times at different dinner theatres, but this was by far the best production. Our food was delightful and our waitress was extremely attentive. Voices and dancing were wonderful. I can't wait for the next production. One word - AMAZING.

The food is excellent, with a wide variety of items, and they have a staggering array of drink options. The servers I have dealt with have been very pleasant to deal with. The theater itself is cozy, and with the open floor plan, there is no such thing as a bad seat.

We love the show and Steve Watt's concerts everything was great except when it came to exiting the theater. You were very cautious letting back row people enter first filling the theater like an airplane back to front seating assignments were separated to be safe but when the show was over it was the whole theater exiting at once, why not have us exit front rows first to stop the congestion?

I found the fireside awesome, its theater in the round. The experience was enhanced because my niece, Laura Cable was starring as Eliza Doolittle. A flower gril transformed into a Duchess.

Please support live theater its quite literally alive. Love it.

First time here. The price had kept us from committing to go before as we don't typically spend alot on our entertainment. It was a date night before our baby is born. Overall, my wife and I had a fun time together. Great meal and surprising atmosphere. Quality show.

The Fireside is my favorite place to go to for a great meal and entertainment. I have been going there more than 20 years. It is always an excellent experience, and the Broadway plays and live performances are the best in Wisconsin.

This is my second time to the Fireside I love the shows the first time I went with my brother and sister-in-law I love the food and the show in January of the country music impersonators however this last show of the 50 60s and 70s the show was fantastic however I cannot Rave about the buffet there was not enough food and they started shutting down one of the buffets before I felt it was necessary. They were not equiped to handle the crowd they had that night. The food was gone before I even had a chance to get a second plate I was very disappointed in the buffet but love the show hopefully next time the buffet will be a little bit better or not in such a hurry to shut it down

The staff is very pleasant and attentive. The place is typically busy so that is an accomplishment. I upgraded my dinner to the Sea Bass and really enjoyed it. The flavor was good and it was cooked appropriately. We also thought the show was well executed. The singing was great and the costumes for Phantom of the Opera were beautiful.

My wife and I have purchased season tickets for the last 5 years. We agree that the pass is for each others Christmas, Anniversary, Birthday etc. We get seven special evenings each year that we really enjoy. We prefer the Thursday evening shows that offer the famous Fireside buffet. We eat what we want and as much as we want. The food and desert is exceptional. We find the waiters and waitresses very friendly as well as the employees. The shows are always so enjoyable. We live in Fort Atkinson and feel blessed to have such a top notch, professional, big time entertainment facility literally less than a mile from our home. I'm wheelchair bound and have a lovely energetic wife. Lord knows what we would do for entertainment if we weren't blessed with such a wonderful dinner theater. Go to the big city for dinner, parking, movie, drinks and tips, I defy anyone to find a better value.

We hadn't visited the Fireside for more than 20 years, but have been back three times in the last two years, and hardly recognized it. The food is terrific, and the entertainment is Las Vegas quality! We're not sure how they manage to feed nearly a thousand people in an hour with hot, delicious food, but they've got it down to a science. And although the stage isn't Las Vegas-sized, the entertainment is every bit as good. Well worth the drive to Ft. Atkinson.

I was brought here for a little birthday celebration with just my girlfriend. We arrived for the Sunday matinee of My Fair Lady.

First our evening here started with a meal and some drinks, all of which were fantastic. I had ordered the VOLCANO, which waitress informed me that this drink was meant for four people. (Whatever, birthday weekend) after she brought out the drinks and I finally witness this monstrosity for the first time, it made sense why was meant for four people. Needless to say I had a great time with this beverage and my food. My fresh baked bread was amazing, the soup was fantastic, the main course was very flavorful and Hardy and wholesome.

The entire building is really a pretty building, but the absolute best part of this place would have to be the actual play. I've always been a fan of the arts I've always enjoyed watching those who can perform their various talents do so. Everything from music, singing, lighting, sounds, costumes, and general performance of the crew was phenomenal. Hands down absolutely incredible.

So yes you may spend a pretty penny or two coming here to enjoy an afternoon or evening but you won't be disappointed oh, and if you are that's your own fault.

We have been going to the Fireside for the last several years for dinner & plays. We just saw Sister Act on 5/26 & it was fabulous, but the dinner was the worst I have ever had. The pork loin as they so called it was as hard as a rock, the food they served with it was so small that after the show we all had to go out to eat again, there was four of us & none of us could say anything good about the main entree. The desert was also horrible. The only good thing was the salad & even that you just got a scoop of. Very disappointed to say the least.

Family tradition. We go every year instead of doing Thanksgiving dinner since we have a small family. They do a great production and dinner is always wonderful. Cute shops line the hallways for novelty and souvenir buys.

Been here 4 times in the past couple years. I would go more often if I didn't live 4 hours away haha. The shows have all been fantastic, and the dinners they offer are always very amazing. It's a great place to share memories with as a family, and to simply have a great time. I can't recommend this place enough! :)

This week has been my first time at the Fireside Theatre, and at a theatre-in-the-round. Both the concept, and Fireside's take on it were fantastic.
The friend I attended the show with was running late, and the manager had the good judgement to have our table set with the salads and drinks so we could start our dinner as soon as we entered. Well thought!

I loved the Thursday's buffet, especially the salmon, which I considered outstanding.
In relation to the show, I think the performance was remarkable, taking into consideration the characteristics of the theatre. To put it into perspective, I saw "The Book of Mormon" a few weeks ago at the Cadillac Theatre in Chicago, and the fanfare was certainly greater, but did not leave such a good impression as the production of "Once upon a Mattress." I guess it is not always about getting the biggest bang for the buck.

In comparison with previous productions of OUAM, I truly enjoyed this one a ton (exclusively based on listening to previous productions.) In my opinion, better than Sarah Jessica Parker's in the 90's. I think Carol Burnett would surely approve this production. :)

Things that could be improved:
1. I think soda should be included in the price of the supper.
2. It would be wise to have somebody at the Front Desk at all times. I understand I arrived 40 minutes before the start of the show when everybody is having supper, but I was feeling a bit anxious to pick up my tickets. Luckily, one of the staff members took care of me after a few minutes.

Overall, a great night. I will certainly come back.

What a wonderful fun place to go. The meal was very good, maybe a little pricey. The play was fantastic, what a fun place to go to celebrate a birthday Anniversay of any milestone. I highly recommend The Fireside.

About Fireside Theatre

Fireside Theatre: A Midwest Entertainment Destination

The Fireside Dinner Theatre is a premier entertainment destination located in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin. It is one of the most popular dinner theatres in the Midwest and has been entertaining audiences for over 50 years. The theatre is known for its high-quality productions, delicious food, and exceptional service.

What sets Fireside Theatre apart from other dinner theatres is that it is the only Actor’s Equity dinner theatre in Wisconsin. This means that all of the actors are members of the Actors’ Equity Association, which represents professional stage actors and stage managers in the United States.

The theatre’s history dates back to 1964 when founder George D. Widener opened a small restaurant with a stage where local performers could showcase their talents. Over time, it evolved into a full-fledged dinner theatre with Broadway-style productions featuring professional actors from around the country.

Today, Fireside Theatre boasts an impressive lineup of shows throughout the year ranging from classic musicals like “The Sound of Music” to contemporary hits like “Mamma Mia!”. Each production features elaborate sets, costumes, and lighting design that transport audiences to another world.

But what really sets Fireside Theatre apart is its commitment to providing an exceptional dining experience alongside its top-notch entertainment offerings. The menu features classic American cuisine with options for vegetarians and those with dietary restrictions. Guests can choose from appetizers like shrimp cocktail or spinach artichoke dip before moving on to entrees such as prime rib or chicken cordon bleu. And no meal at Fireside would be complete without dessert – options include classics like cheesecake or chocolate cake as well as seasonal specialties like pumpkin pie during fall shows.

In addition to its regular productions, Fireside also offers special events throughout the year including holiday-themed shows during Christmas season and concerts featuring popular artists such as The Oak Ridge Boys or Kenny Rogers.

For those looking for a unique night out or special occasion celebration – whether it be a birthday party or anniversary – Fireside Theatre provides an unforgettable experience that combines great food with world-class entertainment all under one roof.

In conclusion, if you’re looking for an unforgettable night out filled with delicious food and top-notch entertainment then look no further than Fireside Dinner Theatre – one of Midwest’s most beloved destinations!
