We attended a matinee performance of the musical The Christmas Story, with the lunchtime meal. The meal was good and the performance was fine - for us older folks who were children in the 1950s it brought back a lot of fond memories of that time period. It was also an opportunity to get into the Christmas spirit! Although it is a bit expensive, we thought it was worth the cost. We recommend it!

My wife and I attended the Fireside Theatre for the first time on Saturday, the 22nd. We attended a matinee for the Little Mermaid. It was a very pleasurable experiance. The dining room was amazing, I loved the decor. The food itself was incredible! The staff, top notch. The production of the show, excellent. There is a reason they have been doing this for forty years! They know what they are doing! Take the time to look at the schedule, and book a show. You won't regret it. My wife and I are already talking about what show we want to attend next!

We're lucky and blessed to have such a hidden gem of a unique experience in Wisconsin. First time there and already bought more tickets as gifts. Looking forward to next time!

I still remember when friends dragged me there the first time and I fell in love with one of the backup singers :D

I have never had a bad meal or a bad show there. Make sure to bring room for all of the food you are going to eat.

Shirley appetizer seems small sure the appetizer seems small, but by the time you get to desert your wondering where to put it all.

All the breads are amazing and if you're lucky they have a honey butter there for the breads.

Most of the meets even a few needs I don't like don't even need a knife to cut and you can cut them with a spoon. The one time I went there and got ribs I could shake the bone free from the meat and leave the meat intact which is how tender they cook their meat.

The only downside is if you're a bigger guy like me the seats might be a little uncomfortable. But the show was great and so makes it worth it.

We had a good time at the Fireside. I've heard the food there was amazing and while it was good I didn't feel it was anything over the top (although I did just have the included meal - maybe the up-charged meals are better). The server was nice for the most part but seemed a bit irritated with certain questions that were asked. We saw A Christmas Story. It was really good. Great job to all the actors! Would have been nice if drinks were allowed in the theater room though.

Always enjoyable. Food ok. I feel the standards have changed from 5 to 10 yrs ago. This was the only show I've see there, where the floor never rotated. we missed many views, people were hysterically laughing and we couldn't see why. Also shrill voices at times over mics and the words were lost.

Mavis was wonderful...made the show for us. Just wished we could have seen the refridgetator scenes....and understood some of the spoken jokes that didn't come across the mics well.

Its costly to attend, so when I treat myself, I wish it would completely work out. I go every year, I will be back. I hope the stage works for all the next time I am there.

The first time you go it's a really cool experience, especially if you catch a good show. However, if you go back multiple times, it starts to lose it's appeal, particularly if you have dietary restrictions -- the chefs aren't very inventive. I'm a vegetarian, it's not that odd of a restriction, and I've gone to the Fireside about once or twice a year for 10 years (basically whenever family is in town) and every single time it's the same meal. You'd think for how much they charge for a meal they'd be able to come up with something different over the course of 10 years.

It's also often hard to get the attention of the waiter/waitress and you tend to have to wait a while if you would like refills on drinks. They're usually quite busy.

The shows themselves are usually good, but every now and then they're not so great, but that's just the way it is with live performances. Sometimes you've got a great cast and sometimes, you don't.

We've visited The Fireside several times in the last few years, we feel the food has changed, not as good as previous visits, not sure why, possible chef change, foods purchased, etc. Will probably visit again but won't dine there.

Nice experience. The acting, the stage, the atmosphere was much, much better than I expected. I had heard so many good things about the shops and the food...but both were kind of disappointing. The gift shops were just your garden variety gift shops...signs about life at the lake or life on the farm. I was hoping for more one-of-a-kind things about the Fireside or Fort Atkinson or at least about the theater experience. If you go for the show, you ll be pleased. If you go for all the peripheral things, don t have too high of expectations.

Grease was awesome! The food was very good. The ribs fell off the bones & the sauce was tangy! Very nice table decor. Walnut & parmesan cheese breads were very flavorful. I do agree that the meal should include soda, milk, or coffee.

To That Coward who uses goes by the name of A User Google~because he or she was either coward, or don't have much to think with & tasted buds are gone. They could have been drunk or high or maybe even in the right place. Because they couldn't have been at The Fireside in Fort Atkinson,Wi. I travel 110miles to there for their Outstanding Friday Fish Fry's, Outstanding Live Plays, Outstand Food and Outstanding Family Ran Business. Where can you go where you see a Father & Son team who cares enough to seat their guest, wslks around asking guests how everything is and even picks up dishes. All employee's walk around making sure every guest is happy & fixes anything if there is. As for the live shows it's better the any Broadway Show in New York or any shows in Chicago. The performers give 110% to make you feel you are there in the show. The theater is comfortable small so there is no bad sit in the hoyse & you feel you are apart of it all. I can say this because it only took two visits before my family and I became Premier Season Ticket Holders 5 year's running. And we come on Fridays for their Excellent Friday Fish Fry.

We went to see Elf the musical. Dinner comes first. We had the sit down meal. Our waiter Eli was awesome. We had a vegetarian meal and he took care of us. The dinner was very good. The cheese bread is the best. Drinks were very affordable. You have plenty of time to eat before the show. There are also a bunch of gift shops to spend time in. The show was really great. It is a stage I. The round type setup. The theater is very cozy and friendly. We had a blast. What a nice night.

Haven"t been to Fireside for a long time, so was looking forward to it. Went with relatives celebrating their 50th Wedding Anniversary, 13 of us in all. The steaks we had were fabulous, cooked just the way I like it. Impressed with entire meal. We also had a great waitress. Very friendly & helpful. Great personality. Then on to Singing in the Rain. Great show. Down side, wanted to buy some things I saw before the show, but all gift shops closed after the 5.00 show. Really disappointed about that.

Excellent local theater. Love the small place and how close you are to the stage. Really love how the audience is almost a part of the show as they come on stage from all sides. The food isnt the greatest but the shows are always excellent!!

About Fireside Theatre

Fireside Theatre: A Midwest Entertainment Destination

The Fireside Dinner Theatre is a premier entertainment destination located in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin. It is one of the most popular dinner theatres in the Midwest and has been entertaining audiences for over 50 years. The theatre is known for its high-quality productions, delicious food, and exceptional service.

What sets Fireside Theatre apart from other dinner theatres is that it is the only Actor’s Equity dinner theatre in Wisconsin. This means that all of the actors are members of the Actors’ Equity Association, which represents professional stage actors and stage managers in the United States.

The theatre’s history dates back to 1964 when founder George D. Widener opened a small restaurant with a stage where local performers could showcase their talents. Over time, it evolved into a full-fledged dinner theatre with Broadway-style productions featuring professional actors from around the country.

Today, Fireside Theatre boasts an impressive lineup of shows throughout the year ranging from classic musicals like “The Sound of Music” to contemporary hits like “Mamma Mia!”. Each production features elaborate sets, costumes, and lighting design that transport audiences to another world.

But what really sets Fireside Theatre apart is its commitment to providing an exceptional dining experience alongside its top-notch entertainment offerings. The menu features classic American cuisine with options for vegetarians and those with dietary restrictions. Guests can choose from appetizers like shrimp cocktail or spinach artichoke dip before moving on to entrees such as prime rib or chicken cordon bleu. And no meal at Fireside would be complete without dessert – options include classics like cheesecake or chocolate cake as well as seasonal specialties like pumpkin pie during fall shows.

In addition to its regular productions, Fireside also offers special events throughout the year including holiday-themed shows during Christmas season and concerts featuring popular artists such as The Oak Ridge Boys or Kenny Rogers.

For those looking for a unique night out or special occasion celebration – whether it be a birthday party or anniversary – Fireside Theatre provides an unforgettable experience that combines great food with world-class entertainment all under one roof.

In conclusion, if you’re looking for an unforgettable night out filled with delicious food and top-notch entertainment then look no further than Fireside Dinner Theatre – one of Midwest’s most beloved destinations!
