Encountered Fineline at Paragon (Boconcept event) in 2016. Gave the job to someone else back then but decided to try them out with my new place this year.
William is friendly and workmanship is quite good.
There was damage on the flooring by the contractor when there was supposed to be protection provided. Nevertheless William offered to fix the issue. Not a major issue to me.
Perhaps could propose other ideas/options like concealing power points inside desk in future discussions with clients? This would be a neat option.

We renovated our kitchen, toilets, polished the marble and parquet and also repainted our house. Jayden has been very professional and provided us with good design options and advice. While there has been some minor hiccups with the schedule, he managed to find solutions to rectify them in a timely manner. He is accommodating and customer oriented. The Fineline carpentry workmanship has been excellent. Highly recommended!
Spoke to a few firms before deciding to go with Zenith from Fineline Design and was not disappointed. Driven, humble and always ready to serve. Minor hiccups here and there during the renovation process but was never once declined support by Zen; always prompt with his response and offering of solutions. Recommended!
We got to know Fineline Design through Qanvast. And Qanvast hook us up with ID Jayden. We have gone several appointments with other ID Firms and Contractors but Jayden caught our eyes and attention during our first meet up. He showcase his ideas and plan for our reno works and we find out that his ideas and us are on par. And most importantly, the reno quotation that s been offer by him meet within our budget.
During reno works, Jayden assured us all works will be completed withim timeframe. During reno works also, we go for 2 weeks vacation but Jayden took care of the reno for us without any single worry. Communication with Jayden was also superb. All enquiries will be answered promptly and most importantly me & Jayden had bonded well and now i feel that he s a friend of mine instead of an Owner to ID relations! Good job Jayden! We hired Fineline Design for our home renovation project and are very pleased with the results and service we have received from them (Yong Xiang & Lucinia). They are easy to work with, transparent with their processes which they took pains walking us through it so that we understand it. They are also eager to help and willing to come up with solutions when problems occurs. Yong Xiang & Lucinia have also been very patient with us always trying to meet our requirements and wishes, especially when we wanted to amend the design a few times. Their pricing is reasonable and quality of work good. I won't hesitate to recommend them to anyone.
We are first time home buyer and we have searched many ID companies and in the end Fineline Design stood out and we decided on Fineline Design because of the value and the quality of the project that we were shown.
During the design phase, Minyi is responsible and helped to make sure everything is in order. When we found some small defects, Minyi was quick to help us remedy and even for things that we wanted later after renovation has started she also did her best to accommodate us.

After meeting a few IDs recommended here, we appointed Raymond from Fineline as we find that is a good, responsible, hands on and dedicated ID. Generally, it was a pleasant experience working with him. He was patient, efficient and was able to come up with suggestions that impressed us. Though our timeline was delayed slightly due to festive celebrations, but Raymond was able to deliver in time for us to move in. Although there were minor hiccups along the way, Raymond was able to rectify them quickly. Something to improve on will be the coordination with the contractors.
Great experience with Jayden Chiang. Jayden believes no problem is too big that cannot be solved with care and understanding. He listens to all our requests during the renovation and resolve issues with an agreeable manner.
After some internet searching for an ID, I narrowed down to Fineline and another firm. I gave them my wishes so I could compare who could come up with a better idea. Firstly, serene from Fineline impressed me with her timeliness. Secondly, she listened deeply. So my decision was easily made.
I would consider my wishes for a distinctly Oriental design but with an elegant modern feel to be fairly challenging for today s contemporary designers. But serene surprised me mostly with her effort, energy and resources to perform a breakthrough of a design for my living room, dining room and bedrooms. She helped to seamlessly coordinate all the lightings, curtains, wallpapers. She constantly updated us on the progress of the renovations. She was very quickly responsive to our questions; of course it has to be a mutual thing for us to work, right.

This is our first time engaging an ID to renovate our house. So we are not sure how it goes. When we first met Minyi, she spoke to us patiently and listen to our ideas for our house. Because of her soft approach we decide to approach her. As this our first time, she guide us through out the renovation process. Although there is some hiccups in between the renovation, she assist us in getting through it smoothly. All... We are loving our Dream House!!!
Minyi has good listening skills. She quickly learned our design preferences and made proposals incorporating our ideas and concerns. Due to her responsiveness, concerns during renovation were quickly dealt with. She kept to budget, timeline and quality of delivered works. She kept us updated of progress regularly with photos of works. Her quotes for works were also comprehensive and we did not have unplanned bills. We were very happy with the new home.
Open and honest communication was a significant factor in contributing to an overall positive experience. Yuge and Serene are pragmatic problem solvers who did not overpromise but delivered results which exceeded my expectations.
We engaged Fineline Design to renovate our house and it turns out to be good and better than what we expected. Our designer Kai Lin has provided us alot of suggestions, recommendation and ideas throughout the renovation process. We feel comfortable to leave everything to her to settle for us. We worked with Fineline Design in September for our mini renovation to our yard which included a small bathroom, laundry area and utility room.
From the start, Steve and Addy listened to how we wanted our yard area to look like based on our budget. They gave us suggestions and helped with the design, materials and planned the logistics.They responded to our queries promptly on our chat group. One room for improvement would be the communication between them and the contractors in general.

Through a friend's recommendation, we decided to engage Raymond Ang from Fineline Design and it was the best decision ever made. We requested for a simple, elegant theme within our limited budget and space. Raymond was able to come up with fabulous designs and ideas to meet our high expectations. Our boys had always wanted to incorporate a grand piano, a reading area, and a cello practice area in the living room. He brilliantly flushed the balcony out into a cello practice area and a personal reading corner overlooking the picturesque greenery. The piano was elegantly tucked in the living area with a cozy sofa at the side, both complementing to the theme. Tiles and paints were skillfully chosen to create a picturesque ambiance.
Other than his skillfulness in creating professional outlooks in design, Raymond is also very patient as he never hesitates to help us in doubt, for example, we had endless questions posting towards him, like the color and design of cabinets, color of paint used, color and types of switches used etc. He never failed to answer our queries and last-minute requests. He even aided us with our endless scouting of accessories and furniture. He took the extra mile to ensure items chosen complements our design and theme.

We engaged Fineline Design to renovate our home. Our ID, Zenith really help us on the design for our home. He giving us a lot of suggestion, ideas and recommendation. He also keep us updated on the progress for our house during the renovation. The house looks well organised. The wardrobe has a nice design texture including the other carpentry. Colors matches the concept theme design. We thank designer, Zenith for the reccomendation.
Our designer Zen has accommodating our needs fully. There were some problems on timeline and some design through out the process but the team help to solved the issue and back on the right track. They are still also helping out after completion if there any issues moving forward.
We did close to total renovation for the whole house and we are quite happy with our new simple and timeless design house now!
Although I had nv engage Fineline design before, but 2 of my friends did and both of their house look fantastic! Which made me look into their company website and portfolios and its really good. I graduated from art sch had a bit of interior design studies, I'm no expert but their design is right at the top. I would recommend Raymond Kuek (sorry if I spelled the surname wrong) as the designer as coincidently both my friends had him as their designer and both was really happy with his designs and professionalism in delivery of their ideal home.

It was a year ago when we started to search out for designers ( yes we are that ONZ..haha) Our first ultimate goal is to find an ID that will be able to cater to what we want and that is within our budget.We came across Fineline Design Pte Ltd from Facebook and we give it a try..Went to the showroom and it was really a nice showroom settings..Met Jayden and it was easy to communicate with him since his from our era of age,he would understand what we want.
Getting straight to the point,he took care of all our needs especially when our key collection is nearing..and when we got our key,Jayden was like a superman getting most of the work done in within 2 weeks before passing on to his colleagues (as his gg off for reservist).Loving the crafstone and the vinyl flooring which Jayden suggested which suited our industrial cafe theme ( our dream house).
Handing over to Jun Wei was a smooth transition.Jun wei did help us alot while Jayden was away.Prompt response and always ensuring we are up to date on what's happening on site.
To summarize both did a great job in handling our projects.Especially when there are paintings of touch up needed/ touching up of the crafstone cement and helping us in handling with the gas city issue..It was just a call away or Watsapp away and they would be able to resolve our concerns.( Even messaging them at night,they would give us a response )
Most importantly,know what you want and discuss it with your ID,you will for sure have a house of your dream.

Got to know Fineline Design through online. We decided to go ahead with Fineline design, as the appointed designer Raymond was able to come up with designs that we like, their quotations were pretty reasonable and the chemistry was good. We managed to finish the renovation within the agreed time frame. An aspect for improvement will be with regards to the workmanship, which can be better. Overall, the renovation is smooth.
After considering a number of IDs through interactions and and going through of their initial proposals, I had eventually selected Finelines as the IDs of my choice for the renovation of my resales 5-Room HDB flat.
My decision was largely due to both the level of comfort throughout the interactions with the IDs and completeness of their proposal. Being a single house owner with a busy workload, I needed a good ID that I can entrust the end-to-end works. Despite not being able to visit regularly, I am very happy with how Fineline had co-ordinated, managed and delivered the renovations to my satisfaction and quality. I noted the effort they have put into the project and even small area of defects that I did not identified were resolved by them promptly.
In addition, Lucinia is meticulous in keeping track of the cost which resulted in Fineline refunding the additional amount to me after she has consolidated all the Variation Orders. I am a satisfied client and happy that I have chosen Fineline, which is a responsible, prompt, professional ID with good integrity.

Undeniably.. the 1st impression when meeting the so-called self-proclaimed ID (more of salesperson caliber) was great. Gives u the impression that they are one of the best, most customer oriented, anything & everything also can do. U name it, they sure do it. Now, after almost 7 months of dealing with them, finally realised alot of things they also cannot make it. Worst ID experience. Do not be fooled by their honeyed sweet worded sales tactics. Once u sign the contract, you will definitely regret. It is so hard to get simple things done and beware, u will need to do their job as they will leave u alone to settle the job to be done/followed up while they continue to source for new customers. Perhaps the one we met was the blacksheep but we didnt meet just 1 of them, we met 3 of them! Yes 3 of them from the same team! Imagine our frustration having to deal with them! No portfolio to show n expect us to give them a chance. We did n boy did we regret utterly. Sign with them if u want to go thru the same horrible experience like we did. Experience of a lifetime literally.
After sourcing for a few renovation companies, we decided to engage Jayden and Xiaolin as our ids as they were able to convince us of good designs. We were also attracted by Jayden's past design works. True enough, they never disappoint us in terms of their designs and made a few good choices for lighting, colour tones, even for our kitchen and bathroom accessories etc. We are also impressed with Fineline's carpentry works for our new home.
Xiaolin is a friendly, patient and very responsive to our requests. Though our renovation works were being halted for almost 2 months due to cov19 circuit breaker, both Jayden and Xiaolin had arranged to reinstate the remaining works almost immediately after some of our persuasion.
Overall, it was a pleasant experience except there were hiccups along the way. However they have managed to solve these issues one by one. Maybe they could improve in their delivery time for the completed works.
We feel we made a right choice in choosing them as our ids.
Very bad experience with Fineline under Roger and Samual's team. They were responsive in the beginning but after they visited my house, they don't seem interested to serve my account. Probably it is because I am only renovating my master bedroom and balcony, it is too small account for them to show interest. It is completely unprofessional.
After meeting several IDs, I have decided to go with Danny Seah because he was the most responsive and proactive. He wasn't the cheapest nor was he the most expensive after I shortlisted to 3. From the start, Danny was meticulous and consistent in his approach; regular updates, clear and concise information and working based on a spirit of partnership.
Like most renovation, anything can happen and what I find particularly impressive is how Danny and I can work closely to overcome obstacles to complete the renovation on time. For those who expect zero screw ups, I think what you should be looking out for is how an ID respond to the challenges and close off the issues with least disruption to schedule and cost. Even after the renovation was completed and final payment made, Danny continued to stay in touch ensuring that any defects will be rectified promptly.
Danny has done a great job with the renovation and I will highly recommend him to anyone looking for an ID!
My house was renovated and managed by Roger Sim in 2016. Great service and delivery. Am very pleased with the end result and a very pleasant experience from the start to the end of the project. Kudos to Roger whom had to put up with my last minute changes and also patience to explain in details the difference in materials, pricing & installation methods. Highly recommended!
My experience with Fineline was overall very good. I am happy with their design and also their professionalism. Jayden addressed to my needs in details. I would like to compliment Jayden's aftersale service! He followed through and fixed all defects swiftly. Would definitely recommend them anytime.
This is my second review on Fineline Design. The first was after the project handover back in 2017 where I gave a 5-star for the renovation of our home at 11 Lorong 8 Toa Payoh.
In this second review, I would like to express our sincere appreciation to Fineline Design and designer Jayden Chiang particularly for their excellent after-sales service. We were very satisfied with their work in terms of quality and delivery timeline. Equally impressive is their after-sales service. There were some touch-ups we requested after project handover, and they have always responded timely and addressed our concerns diligently. It has been a while since the handover, but their attitude and quality remain professional in times of our needs. I have and will continue to recommend this design house to my family and friends in need.
Through a friend s recommended I got to know Roger Sim from Fineline. Roger is always patient and responsive towards our queries and gave us his professional advice. He is approachable and he will try his best to meet our requirements/expectations. Through his experience he was able to advise and deliver our house within the stipulated timeline. Will recommend his service to friends and family should they require a professional Interior designer.
Yong Xiang and team is very dedicated and he will ensure that the project deadline is met and update us on the progress every now and then. Although it is only a small renovation, he will still spend time and design it meticulously and ensure every corners are maximised. After the 3Ds design, he will give us the sample of the exact material to ensure this will be the same as what we see and touch. It has been an amazing journey with Fineline. Just to name a few of the really worth mentioning wonders that you get to experience with them.
- What are the odds of double confirming with the ID on the night before the handover day if he's sure that the house can be handover the next day, despite getting a firm Yes from him, you still get to see the workers in action on the actual day, ID leaving at 2pm and asked if we would be there till 5pm coz he didn t want to leave our keys with the workers! Full responsibility in jagar-ing the workers on the Handover Day. But your workers worked till 7pm with uncompleted job. Where's my overtime pay and where s my keys? A whole new definition to Handover Day in the Interior Designing world dictionary.
- What are the odds of getting an actual carpentry length that differs from discussion (ain't talking about 0.5 ft or 1 ft here but rather a supposedly full length wardrobe as confirmed but ended up with one that has a gap to the wall)? And actual carpentry differs from the length drawn on the constructive drawing and quoted in quotation! If you do not like the surprise, they can redo PART of it for you.
- And what are the odds of getting an ID who sign off as Project Designer but claims that he s only the middle man later? Who have I been dealing with all these while? Oh and here's a super classic quote from him when asked why are there so much chips and scratches on the flooring when we've already told him weeks before about the lax (holes) on the protection works but these were still not being replaced when the carpentry was installed, "I told the men to replace already but they never, what can I do? Eh sorry, what's the job scope of a middle man?
- And what are the odds of getting a team lead who says he will oversee. Oh you can t usually get a team lead to oversee but coz we have been allocated twice to rather new IDs in his team since last year and nothing moves. Since we have already decided to just do only the necessary carpentry (and some electrical) with them (coz it has been dragging really long and we can t afford to drag any longer) and since this team lead said he will oversee, we feel it should be alright. A valuable lesson learnt. We only met him twice, once to convey the problems faced with the previous ID and another time, when he introduced the other new ID. Oh no, I managed to meet him for the third time few days ago after my long overdue feedback to Qanvast.
- You get to also work closely with their Sub-cons because they themselves are always in (other) appointments ! (And the reply to our any questions is no point talking about all these. What we need to do is to settle the issue . After hearing this sentence multiple times for months, but not even once have any of them been at the actual site to see and experience what we and the workers have been going through. Eh so do their words still hold any weight?)
We were impressed by the quality of the job done. Minyi was responsible and helpful throughout the entire process, from the planning to the execution, even until after handover. She was also extremely accommodating and responsive, and did not compromise on the workmanship and quality, despite us giving her a tight timeline to work with. There were minor hiccups along the way, but she assured us that everything was on track, and we were thankful for that. Definitely a great first experience for us.
My wife and I are very happy with the services of fineline, especially our ID Raymond. A very responsible ID and is constantly updating us on the works done to our home. Do admire the way he manages his subcontractors ensuring that they do not make any mistakes during the whole renovation journey. I have always wanted an ID that has a design background. I signed up with FineLine for my renovation works. Karen was extremely professional, patient and understanding the requirements , providing right suggestions and timely services. She has done a great job and we are pleased with the work.
After meeting a lot of IDs, we decided to go with Roger Sim from Fineline. Roger is not only skilled but he also listens to our requirement and design things that will work for us within our needs and budget. He is very patient, funny and reliable. He is also very hands on, he will fix the things himself if the workers can't get it done on time. Therefore we experience no delay in our renovation, except Circuit Breaker period.

Roger Sim is a honest and sincere contractor. He also has good ideas and has vast experience, having done renovation works for different types of dwelling and offices. He is consultative and he listens to our needs. If we didn t like his design, he is more than willing to listen to our ideas and incorporate them into the project. He completed the project in time and at a reasonable cost.
Roger is a great project manager and he has also given us a lot of help in terms of designing the space. Our home turned out to how we wanted it to be so we re happy with it. The small problems that happened during the renovation were rectified so there wasn t any major hiccup. Everything was completed on time.
Our experience with Fineline is a great one. Our Id Jayden Chiang is an easy person to talk to and he understands our theme and design accordingly. His sense of design is commendable. He will also give honest opinion and suggestions. Materials and services are up to expectation. We are really happy with the outcome.
We had went to a few ID before engaging Minyi to help us to renovate our 5 room resale flat. We did not have any idea in mind and just wanted the design to be nice and practical. Throughout the whole process, Minyi was patient and proposed a lot of ideas that was aligned with what we had wanted. Our main concern was the cost and time taken for the renovation which Minyi had done very well. The total cost of the project was within our budget (even though we made many requests halfway) and the renovation was completed on time without hiccups. We were kept updated constantly of the progress of the renovation.
When the house was handed over to us, we were impressed with the workmanship of the built in cupboards and wardrobe. Even after the renovation is completed, she still contacted us to check if everything was alright. This was our first time engaging an ID company and she made this experience memorable for us.
We got to know Fineline through Qanvast s recommendation. We are able to click with the designer Vincent and we feel that he is an enthusiastic person and took his own initiatives to show us designs and advice us accordingly. Vincent was prompt with his communication and always updated us regularly on the progress of the renovation. Overall, the workmanship turned out fine and we are happy with the works done. Although there were slight delays Vincent was able to rectify it quickly for us.

Kato San despite his busy schedule with his commerical projects, designed an absolutely stunning French doors in my balcony which definitely is one of my favourite as it fitted all the criteria of our dream French doors. Yong Xiang despite being the younger generation of interior designer, never for once showed us that his immature side. In fact, he is very matured in his both his thinking and the way he handle the issues that were thrown at him. He has the positive drive and passionate in him together with his willingness to think out the box, makes both of them a great paring. The meticulous and patience nature they showed in throughout the course of the work is very assuring to us.
We really enjoy every discussion session we had with them as it is very open and transparent which leaves us very pleasing. What surprised us is how generously they would share with us the information, in order for us to have a clear understanding of the work behind the design and renovation.
From the inception of the project to the final handover, Yong Xiang took effort to be on-site regularly to ensure the progress of our renovation went smoothly and on schedule. He is very responsive and responsible in providing the updates and every day I look forward to seeing the growth of my new home. Any issues the renovation encountered along the way, he will try to evaluate the situation, communicate on-site before he engage us to provide us with the available solutions. And every time the solution he provided is the one that leaves us very satisfying.
Yong Xiang and his teams of carpenters, plumbers, painters and electricians on-site has great relationship and respect with each other. The workmanship of the carpentry and quality of the electrical, painters and plumbers works are result of skilled craftsmen. Overall the coordination of the project are well-coordinated and smooth.
We became friends with Kato-San and Yong Xiang in the process after the project is completed, and that is one of the best thing we took away from this project. We can still visualized the once empty unit has now became our dream home, relaxation and rejuvenation place.

The service is appalling. Throughout the construction phase of our apartment the designer was difficult to work with. He was more interested to use our money to fulfil his design dream than giving us what we needed. It was VOs after VOs. Afterward, his manager, Roger Sim took over and it didn't go that much better. We had to make major compromises because they had screwed up so badly and time was running out. We wouldn't have a place to stay if we don't make those compromises.
Fast forward to today, 1 and something year since the construction. We are well within the warranty period. We contacted Roger to carry out warranty works that we are entitled to (Our soundbar fell off the wall because of their mounting decision). We started to contact them in September. They either brush us off and straight up ignore our calls and messages. Up until now, Dec 12th, we still haven't got an understanding on when/if these works will be done.
These people are not interested to give you a satisfactory home or what you need.. They are here to milk as much money from you. At the end, they will not stand behind their own products and mistakes.
When we first started looking for someone to assist us with our renovations, we weren't sure whether to go for an ID, a contractor, or just individual suppliers as our works were minimal. Now that our renovation is completed, I must say that it was definitely the right decision approaching Fineline and Danny, as while their prices are a little costlier than contractors, they are fully committed to getting the job done well.
While the prices quoted can be higher than finding direct suppliers in the market (e.g. painters), they are not a one-time job, and have came back countless of times for rectification works and to ensure that the works done is of the very best quality.
Danny has kept in close contact with us ever since he was appointed as our ID, and has kept us updated throughout the project. Renovating a resale flat is always a challenge, as one change might lead to a complication in another area. However, Danny has always risen to the challenge and proposed the best solutions.
I would say the only disappointment I had was that the renovations was not completed on time, yet it would be difficult to lay the blame on them due to the challenging COVID situation.
For the reasonable price that we paid, I highly recommend Danny and Fineline to new home owners!
We engaged Karen, of Fineline Pte Ltd to handle our renovation of our 5-room resale flat. Throughout the renovation, which was protracted due to the COVID-19 pandemic and circuit breaker, Karen was very patient in meeting our needs and reassuring us. She is open to feedback and is responsive. The period is fraught with anxiety over when the renovation could continue but Karen was always prompt with updates. It is indeed a pleasure working with her.
It has been a pleasant experience with Fineline Design and Our ID Shimin. She was responsible and reliable to help us In our needs for the renovation including buying of materials etc.
She is prompt to respond to our queries and tries her best to resolve any issues. Overall, we are pleased with the renovation and ID.
