This airport seems archaic....services that are normally automated at other airports are done manually here. The safe protocols against the Co-vid 19 pandemic are followed here but not a 100% though. I think the pandemic has made activities there quiet (my opinion though).

The service at the entrance to the exit need to be upgraded to world standard. It looks like a vehicle transport park. The ac needs to work properly inside.
On my very recent flight through this airport, I observed as follows
Covid 19 protocol is fairly observed with everyone inside the airport building wearing a face mask and the place scanty with less activities. Though just outside the building towards the car pack is a different story all together.
The Airconditioners seem to be working optimally.
The parking area is quite big and spacious. I didn t find out if there is a gate fee or parking fee however.
The few people I interacted with were nice and courteous.
The environment looked fairly clean.
Of course there were good safety equipment including working fire extinguishers. Security was also not bad at the time.
Tidy, peaceful and organized environment. Not prone to the hustle and bustle of major hubs. The waiting hall is dotted with shops selling artifacts reminiscent of the old Benin Kingdom. There are also some bukkas offering some local delicacies and dishes. The security checks equipment still needs some upgrading though.
