This is a great place to hang out after work. Some of us head there after work on Fridays for HH (Happy Hour). We chill, enjoy some beer and have fun before heading home. We haven't been there for the football games but some co-workers love it. They have lots of TVs and the drinks keep coming. The great thing about this place that sets them apart of other local places, is first the beer they make it in-house and second, they don't forget about you when they get busy, like most places and you find your self getting up to find someone to get you another drink. They keep an eye out and make sure you are taken care of. I really like that about this place!!

I really like the changes Faultline has done with their menu. The food here is not your typical bar type even though they have a great sports bar atmosphere. The food is never overcooked and the quality is high compared to the restaurants in the area.

Good selection of beer and cocktails. Went on the night on NBA finals in a big group and the place was packed by evening. They have a good draft beer sampler and I liked their tequila cocktails, specially the mango chilli one with a shot of beer. Lots of food options for my non vegetarian friends, though for a vegetarian there were limited choices which tasted good. Highlights from veg food I tried and found interesting - spicy beer battered onion rings, chickpea masala and an entree made with okra, curry and and rice (tasted very Indian). Service was mostly quick despite the busy hour and servers were patient and nice.

Parking outside in the lot had a lot of warnings on theft which seemed scary so we kept all our belongings with us.

I go to Faultline often to both to meet with friends and to organize larger team outings (50+). It is a good, bright cheery environment with a good selection of food and beers. Events are pretty easy to setup and the staff is friendly and competent.

The only downside is that they are often victims of their own success and it can be difficult to find a spot in the bar/drinking area after 5:30pm in the back half of the week (Thursday/Friday).

What is particularly annoying is that when the bar/drinking area is full, you cannot simply then spill over to the restaurant area when this happens even though often it is quite empty.

In recent years, this has gotten better with the addition of their back-patio covered seating area, but it still can get hard to find a spot. But it still is an issue. On more than one occasion , friends and I have had to seek other spots to meet because of this issue.

Nonetheless - a pretty good place to meet and chat with friends after work.

I was introduced by a friend and had a work lunch at Faultline in Santa Clara recently. I like their daily special of blackened cod served over penne pasta with alfredo sauce, peas and bits of real bacon. Service was superb.

I used to work close by, and would go to this place all the time. The food's ok, the beer's ok. There's no standout dish that this place does best, or beer for that matter. The ambiance is nice, although bar section can get quite noisy. Anyways, great place to meet people, mostly because there's no other place around! I stopped going there after we were overcharged by around $200, and although the manager reduced the charge, we were still overcharged.

I've been to the Faultline Brewing Company on several occasions ranging from two people to a department luncheon. On none of those ossacions have I been disappointed,by either the food, the beers, or the service. The food was excellent and the beers were outstanding. The servers were polite and quite knowledgeable. While I wouldn't necessarily recommend it for a romantic dinner for two, it is a great place to get together with friends for great food and outstanding beers at a reasonable price.

Ceviche was decent. Wouldn't order again.

Ceviche was decent. Wouldn't order again.

Pulled pork was ok. Had no sauce and almost no coleslaw. Probably won't order again.

Ambience was nice for a sports bar/brewery.

Might go back.

I have been to this place at least 10 times just because there are not many other places to have a beer nearby.
The beer is not great and the food is low quality almost fast food.

It s a nice spot with a nice outdoor area. Wasted potential for a great spot!

Awesome food!!

Awesome food!!

We really enjoyed the food here today. The Salmon is to die for. It was made with such care the taste was just bursting with flavor with every bite!!

They had great wings as well as good fish n chips. Next time I come visit this city I am definitely coming back as they had a lot of other good looming food as well as drinks to test our!!!

I met a close friend for dinner here last night. After eating most of his meal (and 75% of one beer) he said he felt very ill and needed to lie down across the chair next to him. I let the staff know about the issue but one manager in particular was incredibly rude and accused him of being drunk and that he needed to leave now, as this was a huge liability for them. I tried to explain that we had just arrived and had not had enough to drink to warrant this concern but in the end we had to call an ambulance to keep him from getting kicked out.

Went for a work related team building event. The selection of beers is good and the varying beers are good. The various appetizers that are on the menu are okay. Entree wise, I had the fish and chips which I thought were better than the average you'll typically get elsewhere.

I am very sorry to write that your food is not as good as before. All the starters we usually ordered and my favorite fish and chips are getting worse and worse tasted. Have you changed the chef?

Bad beer, bad service, bad experience. Our beer came out quick, unfortunately I received a different beer than I ordered. I wasn't worried as I planned on trying more then one beer as it was our first time visiting. The beer I received changed my mind. We hung out for a while and were only checked on once by our server. After over an hour of waiting and having empty glasses, and after having my card on the edge of the table for more than 20 minutes we were finally acknowledged. Unfortunately it was by a completely different server than our original one. Will not return.

If you're looking for a good food, that's a very wrong place. They only got couple of appetizers and of course beer. It is pretty spacious inside. They give free beer tasting. Pretty big parking space.

The beer I got was flat, the food was overpriced and mediocre-at-best. The decor is well-worn and can use a serious update, which is fine, but it just makes me unsure what I'm paying for here. The service was friendly and attentive, which earned this place an extra star, but I doubt I'll ever go back. Save your money for better food and better beer.

Very nice and open restaurant. Plenty of seating but does get packed, especially in the outdoor area. Nice area in the back with a pond. Ordered a bunch of appetizers which were pretty good.

We stayed in Sunnyvale overnight and we ate here for dinner.
For a Thursday night it was busy but we were seated right away, no wait for a party of 2.
The food was very good, service prompt and the staff great.
The place had a lively atmosphere.

Food was good, staff very friendly and accommodating, ambiance fun. We sat in their outdoor seating which had a lovely view of a duck pound and fountain. The outdoor area was kid-friendly and peaceful. Another family even had their dog with them in the outdoor area so it's also pet-friendly. The chairs outside are metal with no cushions so if you're there for awhile it does get slightly uncomfortable. We went in October and they had a fun Oktoberfest menu. They are a brewery so they do serve a variety of beers. Indoors they have plenty of screens showing various sports channels so you can watch whatever game you want to watch while you eat. It does get pretty busy in the evening for dinner time and indoors is a lot louder than the outdoor seating area. It's a little on the pricey side but amazing food and service.

Upscale Brewery food. Came in and sat at the bar great beer selection and food was great. People said it was pricey but seemed pretty ordinary and well worth the cost. Coming to post a review and didn't realize the nice outdoor area they had guess i have to come back.

This place is really underwhelming....and quite expensive.

Between my two friends and I, we ended up paying about $35 bucks per person...and we ordered 3 appetizers, 1 entree, 3 ciders, and 3 shooters.

The food was meh compared to other places that don't charge an arm and a leg. I mean, I guess the vibes were cool. We came in on a Friday evening and there was a live band that was singing and playing instruments by us. The only unfortunate part was that they were a bit too loud for us to have a normal conversation.

Service was mediocre for the cost and it just was overall very underwhelming. I don't think I'd come back to this place as it is disappointing and lackluster in all senses.

Not sure about this place. Food was good but I won't remember it a day from now. The beer, I have much better. For a place called a brewery, I expected more. Bjs and Rock Bottom have much better beer. Nut said.

Had dinner here tonight. They had a good selection of different beers and the bartenders were friendly and helpful. Ordered off of the Octoberfest menu (Wienerschnitzel) and it was tasty. I thought the price was comparable to other restaurants. I enjoyed the Octoberfest season brew and tasting of the other styles of beer. I'd go back.

We had a good experience with takeout from Faultline. Ordered the pizza party (2 pizzas and salad for $30.) They don t have explicitly stated vegan items on the menu so I had to get creative but it worked out in the end. They were out of beer for takeout (??) when we got there which was a bummer...we were excited to try the Dunkel. The patio/outdoor eating area is expansive. Definitely recommend giving them a try!

Great place for a company get together. Good food and great beer place. If you plan to have a party outside in winter's, it can get real cold. They do have heating flame stations, that is not enough.

We've been to Faultline a number of times and the experiences are generally very good. The beer is, of course, excellent - it's what they do. The servers are, for the most part, friendly and helpful in suggestions. We've had a few occasions where orders have come out wrong (we've changed things up and the order came out without the changes), but they're always very quick to fix the problem.

We usually come with the beer sampler gGoupon, but we get additional items (a second appetizer, a main) so we've gotten to explore their fare beyond the simple offerings of the Groupon.

And, yes, we'll be back :)

The atmosphere is lively with quite a few of the local techies there for a drink after work. The food is good & we used a coupon which was even better. I would recommend going here if you're in the Sunnyvale area near 101/Lawrence Expwy & need a bite to eat.

Great place for beer in Sunnyvale.

Great place for beer in Sunnyvale.
Usually crowded.
Nice selection of fresh beer.
Nice burgers.
Full menu of food options.
Convenient to many hotels (take Uber!)

The Good:

The Good:
The look and feel of the place is really cool. Nice size bar, dining areas and some calming views. For the area, the prices for the food are pretty good. If you are going to party it is damn good. Great TV's, bar food and TVs.

The Bad:
The beer is not good. I have had 3, most recently a 'German Ale'. It was bland, stale, thin, leaves a taste in your mouth (a$$-like). It's like they put saccharin is used or something. These people cannot make a good brew.

The Ugly:
There is incessant white noise. Incessant. You can't talk to each other.

Here's the real deal Q & A: I will go back and eat and drink there.

Walking in to the Faultline felt a little like walking into a sales meeting; there were a lot of trendy, polo shirt and indoor-sunglasses-wearing clientele. The food was about average, and with the premium prices wasn't a great value.

I went with some co-workers to enjoy some drinks and food. The brewery has several TV's scattered around the bar. They had some specials for octoberfest and from a co-worker that lived in Austria stated they had some fairly authentic sausage. I had a grassfed burger which was pretty good. The burger was cooked perfect to order.

Love that there is a spot like this in Sunnyvale - always great having a brewery nearby! They make a great heffeweizen (excuse my spelling..) beer so if that's your thing, definitely recommend getting it!

Haven't eaten here yet, but I can imagine that the food is fairly standard and composed of things that pair nicely with lots 'o beer. :)

Service is great and food to match. I almost don't want to post this because this a gem I don't want tainted but I always give credit where credit is due. Please don't ruin my spot, lol!

It seems like a large space good for after hours happy hours but the food was lack luster. Food order was wrong. Food is nothing special to write home about and seemed over priced. Staff was attentive and friendly but quick to come and clear plates.

Would come again for beer but not for food.

My wife and I have been going to Faultline for quite a few years now. I can truthfully say the we have always had a great experience each and every time. The menu is divine and the beer is the best around. Run don't walk to the restaurant you will not be disappointed.

Nice location, love the view out the windows to the water feature and the random ducks floating by. The food is good, an eclectic assortment of food. Love their salads! Sometime a little hard to flag down someone, but overall fun place to have a meal.

We have been here several times, both in the old and new locations. The new location is beautiful, but with a very different feel of the old location. The food, however, is amazing no matter which location. The menu offers a variety of cuts of beef, so everyone should be able to find something they want.

Good selection of local brews with good flavors. Really tasty wings, somewhat meaty and very flavorful. They're spicy but not painfully hot. I had a sandwich last visit that was good as well, not as memorable as the wings. Good atmosphere, especially hanging at the bar area and patio with colleagues or friends.
